Amazing staff / customer service both at main reception and dining/restaurant. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room and public areas. Very well maintained hotel and car parking facilities were also great - lots of parking spaces and not tight for big cars!

Meal prices at the restaurant were on the steep side (e.g. £30 for a steak, £22 for a fish risotto) but we were told that the restaurant was refurbished (to a high standard) recently so perhaps the prices are to re-coup some of this outlay.

Amazing check in experience. Refitted bar and restaurant looks great! Health club is better than others. Breakfast was decent quality. Room in good decorative order, air conditioned, quiet, and comfortable bed.

I’m always fussy about coffee! Be good to have better facilities for this in the room. We were put off breakfast by the price but then it was added as complimentary at check in. A lovely surprise but worth you having our feedback about the price.

We booked using dog friendly on booking com but we there was no table facilities at the restaurant when we arrived. The only place we could eat was low seats around a very low coffee table. Not what we expected and not comfortable for our elderly parents. We therefore had to go out for every meal over the three days. What did annoy us was there were three separate occasions that people had small dogs in the restaurant area. I did complain to the restaurant manager but she replied that she had not been in these days. Because we had a bigger dog! Our German shepherd was very good, sat quietly and he's excellent with people and other dogs. Surely the rule should be enforced for all dogs.Lovely hotel but they should not advertise as dog friendly!

Spacious, clean, modern hotel in quiet residential area. Lovely gym and swimming pool. Majority of customers are adults.( We had no children in our group.) Very courteous staff. Excellent quality and choice at breakfast. Evening meals acceptable quality but not restaurant standard.

On a complicated road system around Reading. I don’t see how you could visit this hotel without a car, yet you have to pay parking. No local amenities because the hotel is on a housing estate. The piped music was monotonous and sleep inducing in all the public areas and corridors, and went round on a loop so you heard the same monotony repeatedly. Apparently, they are sent a disc by a company and have to use it.

The swimming pool was fab and the staff there were excellent. The bed was very comfortable, but just wish I could have opened a window at night.

The check in was poor. I explained that my two grandchildren would be joining me for breakfast and where should I pay for that. The lady said I could pay at the restaurant the next morning. While having a drink at the bar I asked a member of staff the same question. She explained that if I paid at reception it would cost £15.50 each, and if I paid at the restaurant it would be £20 each. Why didn’t the check in girl tell me that??? I had breakfast as part of my deal but to pay £15.50 each for a 5 and 7 year old was very steep.

Breakfast was incredible, such a wide choice on offer and it tasted great.

We stayed here on my partners birthday and I emailed the day before to say it was his birthday. They emailed back to say they would arrange a special treat for him but they didn’t arrange anything in the end.

Clean, modern, lovely toiletries, superb comfy bed.

The property was great. The only downside was my dinner. I had a butter chicken curry, the naan bread was like concrete and there was a piece of bone in one of the chunks of chicken. Nobody came over to ask how my meal was. When eventually my plate was taken away I explained the issues which they could clearly see but I was still charged the full amount! Not impressed, all the waiter did was waive the service charge.

The staff were excellent, the hotel was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The coffee maker is a plus for me.

The fact that we have to pay for drinks and additional payment on certain foods in a booking that was a half board inclusive, that is, breakfast and dinner without prior notice. If a booking is breakfast inclusive, you don't tell customers that they can only have two sausages and no coffee, and those same should apply to other booking, half board or all inclusive as it is in other parts of cthe world. For Hiton Hotel Standard, this is a minus. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is bright and airy and very clean. Communal areas are good. Accessible bedrooms are good although the shower is very utilitarian. The issue is the bedrooms have a very cold feel. For too much open space. Breakfast is very good. Grapefruit juice without asking! First class.

Evening meal was as bad as one could imagine. The soup was cold, stodgy and bereft of flavour. My wife's buratta was stale. The fish and chips were dreadful. The chips were luke warm and the fish could have been used for a boomerang. More batter than fish. As for the rib-eye steak it was so full of sinew it would not cut. The flat mushroom was stone cold and the chips were cold also. Deserts were not bad and a good size. The dreadful meal was encapsulated by my asking for vinegar and it being delivered in a small dish. How does one sprinkle that on fish and chips???? A totally disgusting experience.

Mattress in my bedroom needed to be changed due to huge dip, TV turned itself on and off I was really quite disappointed with being charged to park, even though I was a guest I know that this is New to this particular location But I feel that it is unnecessary and unwarranted
