Excellent Stay at Scandic Continental – Perfect for Families! Our stay at Scandic Continental was absolutely fantastic! The hotel offers an outstanding combination of comfort, convenience, and value, making it a perfect choice—especially for families with children. The breakfast was a real highlight, with a wide selection of fresh, delicious options that catered to all tastes. It was the perfect start to each day and something our whole family looked forward to. The location couldn't be better—central, easily accessible, and within walking distance to many attractions and transportation options. It made exploring the city with kids incredibly easy and stress-free. Overall, Scandic Continental exceeded our expectations in every way. It's a true gem in terms of price-performance and family-friendliness. Highly recommended!

The hotel was just across the road from the main train station and had a subway stop below. The tram to see the Vassa and Abba museum was also next to the hotel, so travel was excellent. Having the separate sauna was very useful but nowhere was it documented you had to contact reception to have it turned on. Being open until 10 pm allowed for a tourist day and dinner first. The roof top bar and restaurant looked good but only seen at night in winter when not allowed out. The usual Scandic breakfast was plentiful and sets you up for the day.

Can be confusing what lifts to catch and there were limited signs to sauna and door opening in the basement.

I really loved the location. I went for a standard bedroom with no view so I expected it to be tiny! But it was pretty decent. Breakfast was included in the price that I went for however, I missed it by 5mins and they were putting everything away. I still managed to try some savory but I really wanted the fruit as I don't like to eat savory in the morning .There was also no option for alternative or oatmilk for my coffee..

The room was not cleaned properly. The pillows i gues you ran out of them because you gave me small squared cushions. There was food residue(crumbs) on my bed and chair. I felt a little disappointed in that. Also, the bed was not made properly, the pillows were left on the table and the blanket was left on the clothes rail.

Close to the train station with almost immediate access to the Arlanda express train. At the same time close to the city centre. I enjoyed my quick stay before leaving early in the morning. The room was very small (Single room without windows), but it was on the top floor so very calm and a fantastic view from the windows at the elevator.

Despite the really friendly staff, I was misinformed that they had a cold breakfast stating at 2.00am and when I did the check out at 4.00am, I was told that there was none. Only upon previous request and never before 5.00am. Really disappointing as I had booked the hotel because of that…

Located conveniently across the main train station and adjacent to the metro station, the location is just one of the great things about this hotel. It is very close to the old town (Gamla Stan), and all other popular tourist attractions. The breakfast served in the morning is good with a wide spread and number of options for meat eaters and vegans. The gym is spacious, nicely equipped and available round the clock. The friendly staff interact with a smile and their behaviour does not depend on your passport or colour of your skin.

The basic rooms could be slightly smaller for two people.

The mattresses on the bed were just a thin mattress topper that kept slipping off the bed. The day of our departure we were in a hurry to catch a bus after quickly eating breakfast and needed to be on the level that exited from the market, the staff were really unhelpful and just blankly said we can’t go out that door and would have to go downstairs and walk all the way around with our luggage which resulted in us missing our bus, so that put a bit of a dampener on things

The breakfast area was excellent and they had 2 areas to have breakfast, 1st and 3rd floor. Good selection of food choices. Location was excellent just 500m from the train station. We took the Arland express train from the airport to Stockholm it took 18minutes well worth the price. Regarding the hotel they checked us in earlier than the normal check-in time which was a bonus. The only negative thing was no air conditioning but they did get a fan for us. For those travelling in the warmer months you need to know a lot of hotels don’t offer air conditioning.

Breakfast was amazing and location is hard to beat, right across the street from the central station, exactly what we needed for our short stay. The hotel is also a short walking distance from main tourist points. The staff was super nice, can't emphasize that enough. The hotel itself was super clean and nice and the room was very good. That was our first stay in a hotel from a Scandic chain, but we are planning another trip to Norway and have been looking into their locations there.

The only minor point is that culturally we're not used to rooms without A/C. Even though the hotel has a ventilation system, it's not exactly an A/C and does not leave the room as cold as we are used to. However, the staff was super helpful in accommodating us and providing a fan. We believe that's a cultural thing across Scandinavia, so we were not bothered by it, but for sure without the fan would be hard for us to have a comfortable rest, since it was summer.

Excellent sophisticated fragrances in the shower products, beautifully designed rooms, clear signs to elevators, great places to sit and work with free coffee for guests, good bed, spacious room

Bad soundproofing between rooms, hotel didn’t allow me to move my booking a week later with adequate notice even though it was cheaper for them, initial reception staff weren’t welcoming, poor coffee at breakfast only filter, breakfast only until 9.30am which is 8.30am uk time. Great gym

Great staff. Perfect location and so easy to find, opposite the Arlanda Express station. Fabulous breakfast with so much choice! Quiet in the room. The TV worked! Lovely rooftop bar which served a good burger. Very good value. Much cheaper than one would get in the UK at this time of year. Or at most times of the year, to be honest!

I liked everything but one thing which I would say, is that the mattress on the bed kept sliding off the base, so I had to keep getting up to push it into place.
