Great location for exploring the area and only 20 minutes from Caen ferry port. Plenty of parking available. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. An added bonus is the ability to open the window to let fresh air in the room. Food and service in the restaurant in the evenings were both great. A large coach party arrived when we were there but the staff were great & it didn’t affect service to smaller tables in the restaurant at all. Special mention must go to Angelique who is a credit to the hotel.

Only disappointment was I accidentally booked breakfast for the final morning we were there without realising we were leaving before service started. I was unable to have this refunded despite a sizeable restaurant bill on leaving. I was offered ‘takeaway’ service but on the day this was on a help yourself basis, rather than picnic style, which we were unable to do without anything to put it in.

Very large well lit reception with bar and restaurant on site. ALL front of house staff were very welcoming and it was mesmerising to see how they multi tasked (reception + bar + waiting on). The room was spacious and the bathroom was a good size. The outdoor pool was open. Car parking free and bring on the edge of town meant no busy city negotiations late at night. Free WiFi which was helpful and no dramas with me sitting at a table in the reception area to plan for the following day - would definitely return

No bad points, but I did think 14 Euros for breakfast was expensive (I only eat toast). But no pressure, I popped up to the Aldi for 2*pan au chocolate (<1 Euro). I took my travel kettle, luckily, as I couldn't work the fancy coffee machine in the room!!

Lise, was excellent her colleagues particularly the young Lady on reception with long red hair were also very good. Breakfast was good value for money and catered for every taste.

As I explained to the young Gentleman on reception the tea and coffee making facilities were not up to standard. It was a coffee making machine with 2 paper cups. The hot water that came out of it was brown. We did not use it after that and reported it to reception 2 days later. As I explained you can't beat a kettle with tea bags coffee and milk along with proper mugs to make your drinks in.

The Reception staff were excellent, as were the waiters at dinner. The restaurant was well laid out and the menu was excellent and reasonably priced. The waiter accidentally spilt some beer on me and was so apologetic we had to reassure him it was fine. When paying, we were told all our drinks were free because of the incident - a nice touch.

It was a little difficult to find because it is next to another hotel which has a sign on the main road. Luckily after 2 passes the satnav directed us correctly.

According to the price I really liked the design. The room and bath were clean and very comfortable and bright. I appreciate that you can open the windows to air the room naturally. The staff is very friendly and could easily switch through languages. The room for breakfast is well decorated, however the breakfast itself should offer more variety (were basically sweet products). It's always interesting to enjoy typical food for breakfast. I can recommend that place!!!

the pool was lovely after walking about sites all day. the reception staff were lovely & knowledgeable about the area.

the breakfast was over priced for the quality. there was no place to open your suitcase in the room but on the bed. there was no place to store the suitcases except zipped up by the desk. there also appeared to be an issue with us being english with the waiting staff - we were the first to sit for dinner but the last to be served. on several occasions, to the point that we noticed it.

Nice hotel in a rather quiet business area, plenty of parking space. Within a driving distance to Caen city center, excellent location for motorized travelers. Rooms are good and all the staff very helpful and professional. Swimming pool is slightly cold, but good for swimming, which is a really nice after a long day of walking/exploring. We also enjoyed their restaurant, which serves very good food. Book a table for dinner in the morning to get a seat.

Scrambled eggs for breakfast - tasted like made from powder left over by invasion forces. The rest of the breakfast was very good.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices superb. Beds super comfy. Room immaculately clean. Modern decor.

I couldn't get the coffee maker to work. A kettle would be better. Shower floor very slippery. Misunderstanding regarding availability of the fixed price menu in the evening but this was resolved by super helpful staff in the morning.

We were a group of 10 in 5 Classic cars. Good parking was essential. We also made good use of the bar and the pool. The restaurant was good but possibly not enough choice for 4 nights, but we found other options within a short walk. The bedrooms were quite basic but had everything we needed. The staff were excellent and very helpful.

One of our members was celiac but there were no gluten free options on the menu. However he did manage to sort something with the chef.

When we arrived we have previously e-mailed stating we would need day beds, but this e-mail was not sent on, and neither was our confirmation number, we had to give the amount paid which we did not have as this was paid for by our company.
