Location is excellent, just a short walk from the metro, and within the old town area. Lots of restaurants, bars and shopping options if desired. Several of the significant city attractions are also within easy walking distance. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful with recommendations, and the room was spotlessly clean, albeit on the small side. An express breakfast is available if you want a quick start, or alternatively a more substantial option is available in the downstairs breakfast dining room.

If you are a light sleeper noise from the bar next door, to the rear of the hotel, could potentially concern you. Earplugs were provided for my use, but I found closing the window made any sound all but imperceptible. However in hot weather this may not be the best solution.

Very attractive hotel furnishings, friendly welcome from the reception staff member. Location is fantastic at the heart of vieux Lille on a nice square, next to countless nice cafes, restaurants and shops. Room was well furnished and comfy with ceiling fan and a nice bathroom.

My room was very small and my 'garden view' was basically the view of a rooftop with some weeds coming out of it! This was fine as a solo traveller only staying one night, but if I had been there as a couple I would have upgraded to a bigger room and one with a view. Bizarrely the ceiling fan was attached to the big light so it didn't seem possible to operate it with the lights off, e.g. during the night to keep cool. This seems like a major design flaw (as sadly there were mosquitos around so couldn't open the window).

The hotel itself is a beautiful little gem in the heart of the city centre. Surrounded by all the shops. The location is 10/10. The hotel was elegant and sophisticated. The room had a beautiful interior and was exceptionally clean. No noisy corridors or hearing other guests while we stayed. And most importantly the staff, were all absolutely amazing. So kind and helpful. Very polite, and made us feel at home. 🥰 My partner and I will be sure to come back soon, Thank you Hotel De La Treille for such a wonderful experience! Manu was fantastic! So helpful and friendly - whatever he is being paid, he deserves a pay rise. No matter how busy reception was, he dealt with it quickly and with beautiful service. When it was quiet, he was happy to chat and help us with recommendations or booking a taxi, or tell us a little about the area.

Location excellent: right by terrific choice of restaurants, few steps from main square, yet room quiet. Nice comfy bed, good shower. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful - let us check in early as room was ready. Walking distance from stations, even for two oldies with rucksacks.

Industrial chic isn’t my favourite decor, but that’s personal taste. Not much clothes space for two in our standard double.

The room was great value, as we managed to get it last minute during a stay for a RWC match. The hotel is very well situated in the centre of Lille, convenient for everything we need. No parking, but we were advised by the Hotel of a parking very close that we were able to book in advance, which was ver convenient. The staff at the Hotel were very friendly and helpful!

The only down point would be, although the staff are lovely most of the time they were standing at the main dooflr for the Hotel smoking, they would quickly stop and come in with you if you needed something. I know this is more of a different attitude towards smoking, but it is very unpleasant to walk through a cloud of smoke from the staff to get into your hotel.

the bed needs a headboard, looks very incomplete without one, not to mention added comfort

The welcome, ambience, cleanliness and well-situated in the middle of an attractive and convenient part of Lille.

There was no fridge, and I would have preferred a kettle to a coffee-maker so that I could enjoy a tisane or cup of tea in my room. Also, the scrambled eggs at breakfast were cold, despite my taking breakfast at about midway through the allotted time.

Ancient building in central position in a pretty square. Rooms small- narrow Construction. Very good breakfast. Temperature appropriate.

Attitude of 1 receptionist who was too occupied to give some touristic advice. Some simple brochures of eg la Navette would be great. The main receptionist we saw was excellent.

Located in the center of Vieux Lille, with a public parking (if you come by car) next door. The entire hotel is tastefully decorated, the staff very friendly and helpful and breakfast is generous.
