The staff were amazing. Everyone from the woman who checked me in and helped me out; to the young man in the dining room; and the women who cleaned my room: Thank you. They all went out of their way to be helpful. One day, I returned to my room to find a note thanking me for staying at Le Grand Balcon and the best raspberry-cherry tart I have ever had. Nice touches like this are noticed and appreciated. Another nice touch are the L’Occitaine products. The hotel is located right on the main square, which is lovely. It’s a busy square, but once inside my room, I didn’t hear a sound. As mentioned by others, the hotel is being renovated (I didn’t hear any noise), so I imagine it will be even better in the future.

Le Grand Balcon is an excellent hotel; we loved it! The hotel is currently being renovated which is being done in such a discreet manner that we hardly noticed. Our room was very comfortable, well equipped & clean. Complimentary snacks & drinks had been set out alongside a handwritten note in English welcoming us to the hotel & providing useful information which was a lovely touch & most unusual these days. The location is great, right in centre of Toulouse but the soundproofing was first class and we were not disturbed by external noise.Hotel staff spoke perfect English and were all extremely pleasant and helpful from recommending restaurants to booking taxis. Breakfast was also very good. We felt that this hotel really valued our custom which is a rare thing in our experience. We highly recommend this hotel.

I only stayed for one night so probably didn’t make the most of my visit but the location was absolutely perfect for central Toulouse. I found the staff extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. On testing my terrible language skills, I was replied to in French to ask whether I prefer they talk to me in French or in English. A lovely touch rather than automatically replying in English - especially if someone is trying their best to learn. The room was modern and clean and the hotel staff were all really friendly when crossing paths on the corridor. There was a lot to like about the hotel but I felt that the staff really made the difference. I’m just disappointed I didn’t take names to shine a light on them in my feedback. I will 100% stay again when I’m next in Toulouse.

I travelled to Toulouse and Le Grand Balcon Hotel with my adult son. I asked for two rooms next to one another, which the hotel was able to accommodate. Both rooms were clean, well decorated, and comfortable. I had the corner suite, which was spacious and had a fantastic view of the square. The ability to open the doors to the Juliet balconies was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nicely up to date. The staff were all very professional and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel and hope to do so again in the future with my husband.

Since my room faced the square, if you leave the door open in the evening it can be loud. However, once it is all closed up, the room was very quiet, so only an issue if you were to want to keep it open overnight.

The location just off the Capitole Square was perfect for exploring Toulouse & it's sights. The staff were generally very helpful & we had a lovely quiet 3rd floor room

Whoever designed the bathroom has not done the best job... to say the least. The shower floor is the same level as the bathroom & when you place a shower mat down in the bathroom as you open the shower down it moves the mat & leaves the floor soaking. Then the sink is awful, small round sink with a water tap which prevents you from washing your face if you use hands not a face cloth...result water everywhere on the floor. Last morning we were leaving before breakfast & were promised 24 Hrs previously a Box to take a few items with us to the airport....contradicted when we asked. Disappointing.

The hotel is being refurbished but that didn't really affect us negatively. Our only problem was the lack of grab rails around the bath which made us feel a bit unsafe. However, I believe the baths are being replaced by walk in showers which will be much safer. People with mobility problems might want to discuss this with the hotel when booking. I would not let it detract from my rating of 'exceptional'.

Excellent location, staff were extremely helpful, lovely room (free upgrade) and great location. Amazing breakfast and lounge area. Room was facing main street which should have been very noisey, but 2 double glazed doors from bedroom to balcony so very sound proof. Highly recommend.

The hallways are very dark decorated and gloomy. Initially first time coming out of lift you wonder what room will be like (which is total opposite, light, bright and welcoming). A few comments on here say the same and whilst I agree, it wouldn't stop me rebooking as everything else that matters is excellent and I felt safe.

This was just an overnight day after returning from my vacation. It is located less than 5 mins from Metro and in the center of Toulouse. The updated and renovated rooms are spacious (certainly by European standards) Modern fixtures including free standing tub and separate shower. Quality amenities provided in room. Staff were friendly and helpful and Lucy at reception even prepared recommendations on restaurants and sites to explore between checking in an departing for dinner - Look forward to returning for a more extensive stay in Toulouse.

Excellent location. Couldn't be better centrally located at the Capitole square. Love the 24/7 coffee station with water and snacks. Lounge area very comfortable and welcoming, especially for a midday break after walking around town. Reception very welcoming . Pre-check in email communcation was sincere . I was impressed how efficiently qustions and requests were dealt with. My request for a quiet room was acknowledged. We were given a room facing the back and even though the hotel is practically facing the Capitole Square, it was unbelievably quiet. Welcome notes in room a nice touch

Some small comments regarding room maintenace . The glass shelves were not dusted. The carpet looks tired and dirty. The above did not impact our great experience from pre-check in to the end of our stay.
