Great location and very friendly staff. Nice fitness facility.

A couple of things. Went to the breakfast room and told the staff I only wanted coffee. They told me to take a table and they would bring it. No one ever came. The staff is very nice but things just don't seem to happen. One of the 3 elevators is permanently "out of service." This makes it very difficult to go up or down during peak periods. The television in my room didn't work. I'm not a big to person so it didn't bother me. Getting out if the shower/bathtub was difficult and dangerous for an old person. There is a handrail useful for getting in but it's useless for getting out.

Location, Location, Location. Close to everything we wanted to see and visit. Very good breakfasts. STAFF WAS FANTASTIC. Above and’s beyond. We had to come to the Plaza after problems in the physical plant of the previous accommodation made it untenable. We arrived dirty, sleep deprived and concerned about how we could salvage the trip. Remy and the other staff stepped up, welcomed us and helped us pull the trip out of the jaws of catastrophe. Thank you so much!

These comments are based on taking two rooms. Frankly, the building could use an update. The carpeting in the halls and common areas could be refreshed and the glass shower barrier had a seal that was old enough that it let water out every shower. Also, one room had fantastic air conditioning in the very hot conditions, while the other never got cooler than tepid. But with that said, everything was spotlessly clean. Towels and linens were abundant and the staff dealt with any discrepancies right away, if possible.

Our greeting at the front desk check-in was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was delightful - very comfortable bed, sparkling bathroom, nice furnishings and both a coffee maker and hot water tea pot. Towels were fluffy and fresh. Don't miss the incredible breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, sliced meats, cheeses, breads, teas, coffee plus excellent service with a smile. The historic hotel has done a wonderful job of making the most of the building. Beautiful outdoor patio (when the weather is nice) to enjoy breakfast or a special dinner. The bar serves a wonderful choice of wine or drinks all day long. As to the location - AMAZING - 5 steps away from a stunning "Place du Capitole." Enjoy an aperitif in the late afternoon for exciting people watching. Toulouse deserves a multiple day visit - walking or eBike tours, historic buildings at every turn throughout the city centre - and don't miss the Jardin Royal and walks along the Garonne!

Historic hotel always has some worn looks, but Plaza Hotel Capitole does its' best to keep it to a minimum and offers a wonderful place to stay to enjoy Toulouse. Sit and read a book on their courtyard patio nearby at a cafe.

We had the most amazing experience during our stay at this hotel, and we truly can’t thank the team enough—especially Oliver. From the moment we arrived, stressed and exhausted after a long journey, Oliver made us feel cared for and supported. My husband is in a wheelchair and was in a lot of pain when we arrived, but Oliver immediately stepped in to help us with such kindness and professionalism. He assisted us with parking, making everything so much easier, and to our surprise and deep gratitude, he even arranged an upgrade for us to ensure we were more comfortable. His genuine care and thoughtfulness went far beyond what we ever expected. Oliver is an absolute gem—compassionate, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful. He turned what started as a very difficult day into one filled with relief and comfort. People like Oliver make all the difference, and he truly deserves recognition for the exceptional service he provides. Thank you, Oliver, for everything—you made our stay unforgettable. P.S. ROOMS ARE BASIC BUT CLEAN, SPACIOUS AND ABOVE EVERYTHING... ITS IN AN AMAZING LOCATION. THE STAFF WERE HELPFUL, KIND AND INFORMATIVE. FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD AND THE VAR WAS WELL STOCKED AT ALL TIMES. THIS HOTEL COULD NOT HAVE BEEN IN A BETTER LOCATION - SO EVEN IF ITS NOT THE HIGHEST STAR-RATING, ITS A TOUCH BASIC.... DON'T BE PUT TOO, ITS AMAZING LOCATION IS WORTH IT.

MY WIFE WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED TO FIND THAT THE GYM WAS CLOSED FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF OUR STAY. THAT SAID, SHE FOUND THE CITY AN AMAZING PLACE TO RUN, AND DID SO DAILY.

The location is hard to beat. You're right at the Capitole square. If you know how busy it gets, you might be afraid of noise from the street bleeding into the room, but there really isn't any. The room was huge, the bed comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and spotless. There were plenty of power sockets. You won't really have trouble keeping your devices charged. We only had the breakfast once, but it was very good and varied. There are plenty of delicious restaurants under 10 minutes away.

We had a premium room with a view of the square. We have stayed in this hotel several times because it is right on the Place du Capitole, where we go to the opera. We get a discount on parking in the underground public garage. There is a refrigerator with complimentary bottled water and an ice dispenser on one floor. I lost a pair of glasses on one stay, and they found them and kept them for me until my next visit. Unlike many hotels nowadays, they have bathtubs and do provide bar soap in addition to shampoo and conditioner.

The only minor negative was somewhat low water pressure in the shower my last two visits. You can drive up to the door to deposit bags, but then you have to follow a very long, circuitous route to return to the garage entrance. This is not the hotel's fault, but it is a minor inconvenience.

The hotel has an excelent location. If you like to walk than everything is in just a few minutes distance. The public trasport is also close. The room was always clean and tidy, but the most important thing was that the air conditioner was functioning properly and it was very easy to regulate room temperature. The number was equiped with electronic kettle and safe. And I really enjoyed the breakfast.

I still do not understand why hotels use winter/warm blankets during the summer. Although the air conditioner was working perfectly it was still to hot for me during the night. One more thing that I did not like are those pillows with synthetic filling. If you are used to down filling pillow, than it rather hard to sleep. There was no mini-refrigerator, just an empty space where it should be.

This is a modern, well managed hotel well placed on the edge of the main square. The twin room was large with 2 double beds, decent wifi and an up-to-standard for this type of hotel breakfast buffet. Decent bathroom. For the price it was much as expected. But a hint - just next door is the Opera Hotel, which has outstanding public spaces and is about the same price. We would stay there next time.

Fine for the price - but investigate the Opera Hotel next door.

An amazing location right in the historical centre of the city. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We were able to open our French doors to let fresh air into the room which was lovely. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

The rooms are a bit tired, but the reasonable price reflects this. Our bathroom door (Rm 317) was extremely squeaky and needs a good oiling. The room next to us also had a very squeaky bathroom door, which we heard quite clearly in our room.
