Easy checkin with the kiosks but staff were on hand to help you if problems arose. The rooms were comfortable and plenty of space. The only downside of the rooms there was no mini fridge on offer. The bar/foyer area was also very welcoming and nice to lounge in the evening to have a drink, but will say the bar menu was a lot more geared towards wine offerings. The only complaint I would have is the house keeping staff woke me earlier than my own set alarm by knocking the door several times to confirm I was checking out that day. Normally this wouldn’t bother me but after a bad night sleep due to headaches this wasn’t welcomed.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Right between all the best shops, bars and restaurants in Berlin. A 2 minute walk from it there is a grocery store that is open 24/7, the shopping avenue is literally within walking distance and of course lots of great restaurants and bars. The service was courteous, both from the reception staff and at the hotel bar. The room was huge! 3 girls in the room, we all had space for everything, the closet was also very large, spacious bathroom and shower, and even a very useful kitchenette. Great rooms.

Our room was located right above the restaurant's dance bar. We heard all the music until quite late hours, it didn't bother us much because we fell asleep anyway, but it's quite disturbing for those who have sleep problems. The pillows were beyond reproach. 80% air. Really uncomfortable, but I admit we didn't ask to change them because we forgot about it during the day. Our sink was clogged when we got to the room, when we asked they fixed it, but after two days it was clogged again.

Very calming and comfortable lobby/bar and dining area, the interior decoration is really outstanding. Breakfast was good with bacon/sausages, scrambled eggs, cheese and cereals. Pretty standard, but good. Espresso machine did its job and you could top-up with filter coffee next to it. Other than that, the staff was kind and helpful, and the location close to the subway and shopping. Overall a very pleasant stay.

The room was spacious enough, but the dock holding the shower head had come a little loose, so if you turned on the water too fast and with enough strength, the pressure would cause the shower head to spin around, spraying water all over the place. A minor nuisance.

Great service from the staff, especially Bianca who helped with an accounting issue. Spacious and nice room with all amenities necessary. Great location too, stayed during December for the Christmas Markets and never to far away from a Christmas Market. Short 5 mins walk to radio tower.

The online check in app is not fit for purpose. Tried online check in via the app and I was charged for my room 5 times! Highly recommend NOT using the online check in. It may have been an issue with American Express cards but either way shouldn’t have been charged that many times. Staff at the hotel were great. Bianca helped rectify the problem as best as she could and I received refunds for the issue.

Located just 10 minutes walk from the S train, this hotel is what we needed. Average sized room with double bed (well, two single beds pushed together), a window to the backyard and a very quite and relaxed atmosphere. Shower had strong hot water pressure and there is also a nice bar and lobby downstairs.

Twin bed and not double bed. The door to the shower is transparent (but we didn't mind). A small minibar or fridge would have been helpful. 2 single beds instead of a large double bed which was just OK. On Saturday the single elevator stopped working and we had to climb up all the way to the 4th floor for the rest of our stay :(

Good location to subway stations, lovely reception and bar area. Breakfast was amazing! Easy walking distance to TV Tower/Alexanderplatz. Plenty of shops around.

Bar at the weekend was very noisy and could be heard in the rooms, rooms were quite warm and tried to sleep with window open but road and surrounding area are quite noisy. However windows do provide good sound proof. Tried Air con on the last night which didn't work, I didn't notify reception though. Only pillow option was feather which I'm allergic to but reception staff were understanding and provided a spare quilt to use as a pillow.

The location - right next to the historical center of Berlin and within walking distance of most landmarks and conventions centers is pretty amazing. Similarly, the room is nice and cozy, with good black-out curtains and a tiny working space. Rooftop bar offers amazing views and great cocktails.

There is no proper bedrest table and the provided table is rather small, making it impossible to work in the bedroom, and PC falls from the bed edge - extremely likely. Similarly, the shower is transparent and gives directly into the room, which depends on your taste, but is really geared towards solo stayers or couples.

We love the location of the Hotel Amano; it was our second stay. Situated in Mitte on a lovely street, Augustrasse. Short tram ride to Prenzlauer Berg, our favourite neighbourhood in Berlin. Loved having an apartment suite with a well-equipped kitchenette. Apartment on the 5th floor was surprisingly quiet; we were a bit worried as the Hotel‘s rooftop bar was open while we were there. Staff were great — very welcoming and very accommodating.

The property is starting to show its age and in need of some TLC. This is NOT a criticism of the cleaning staff, BTW. Our Apartment had a big chip in the bathroom sink, missing grout in the shower, and a lamp by the bed that didn‘t work. Plus, the apartment photos didn‘t show that the bed was sunken into a floor platform so, for people in their 60s, it was a bit of a performance getting in and out of the bed and we‘re in good shape!

Location was great, couple of minutes walking distance to both tram and u-bahn. Lobby and generally the hotel itself is very stylish. There is a garden area to sit, and a rooftop, but rooftop was closed. Staff was very helpful, check-in and check-out was easy. We had a room change, the new room was called an apartment. It was big, very comfortable, and had a fully working kitchen. Overall it was a good stay and I will definitely stay here again.

They have an late check-out option, but we were too late ask for it. So keep in mind to do that at the check-in.

Nicely decorated & clean. Location close to transport & we were able to walk. Nice to have windows that opened onto lush green courtyard.

We stayed in an apartment for 5 nights and on two of these there was work in the hall way outside our door to remove, sand, patch & replace flooring. This was often loud & several times it restricted our entry/exit into our room. There was a note in the elevator when we arrived advising but this was the only information provided. Surely the hotel could have provided information about this earlier or at checkin? A drink at the bar could have been provided while we waited but nothing, no apology. Then the smoke detector had to be checked- while we were in the room! I understand these things are necessary but we paid a lot to stay here & it was poorly managed. On a minor note, dishwasher was so small the dinner plates don’t fit & it didn’t work anyway. Waste of space.
