Rooms were nice, clean and new. Breakfast was also nice, there is so many possibilities.

It seems that staff is not so interested, i was also waiting so long in order to check in at the beginning. I also dont know why they did not change towels everyday- its 4 star hotel. They are working and you can ask for whatever you need but in the end it seems they dont have connection with guests.

Location was phenomenal, central to everything. Facilities were great, very clean, restaurant, breakfast, bar, coffee and wonderful staff both front of desk and house keeping. Pool and sauna were fantastic.

That the pool and sauna are closed from 1pm tp 5pm everyday, that really was a complete bummer for our stay because on one of our rest days we had planned to relax in the sauna and have a swim and we really couldn't. It was the whole reason we booked our stay so it was truly beyond disappointing.

Hotel has great location, very nice stuff. Normal rooms. When A/C wasn't working in my room, got upgrade to Business suite

A/C didn't work in some rooms, TVs in deluxe room weren't smart and you couldn't cast on it. TV in Businnes room was smart, had Netflix, amazom prime, etc, but wasn't connected to internet. Overall stay was really good, but it really felt like one can get the same experience with smaller price in hotel located not so central

this hotel is a very easy walk from Dusseldorf's main station. Nice reception area and bar. Very good size and comfortable room; it is clean and well maintained although the exterior looks a little dated. There was a fridge and coffee machine in the room which were both very handy. Perfectly adequate hanging space for clothes but surprisingly limited shelving. Didn't hear much from other guests.

they have a stupid automated checking-in machine with very poor instructions. In the end someone had to come over from the reception desk to help. When we tried to check out the machine couldn't cope so we had to do it manually which was very easy.

The gentleman at reception was very accommodating when we arrived a little early and we appreciated the quiet room we had requested. The room was spacious, clean and well-appointed, and the bed comfortable. The wooden floors were a plus. We didn't have time to try the hotel pool and other facilities. We come to Düsseldorf to enjoy Japanese restaurants, and the Clayton is perfectly situated for this.

The weather was warm during our stay and the air-conditioning in the room was very weak, even at the coldest setting. The TV remote in our room was missing (another was sent up quickly) and the hair dryer didn't work at all.

Located directly in Little Tokyo of Düsseldorf for everyone who is looking to experience Japanese lifestyle & culture with a subway station in less than 5min of walking distance if you’d like to check out the rest of the city as well. Apart from its location the hotel’s rooms aren’t just really beautiful (modern minimalistic), but also exceptionally clean and air conditioned.

Elevators to the different floors with guest rooms can be used by everyone entering the building instead of using the key cards to ensure that only the guests and authorized personnel can access the floors.

The location is ideal. It is away from the crowds but still within a 5-6 minute walking distance to where the crowds are. The hotel is quite large, clean, and modern. An impressive lobby greets you. The complimentary water and detox water in the lobby is a nice touch. Our room was upgraded due to availability. Breakfast was also complimentary. Spa facilities were available, but we didn't have time to use them. Breakfast (considering that the hotel is run in line with Japanese culture) reflects cultural values. Options such as fish and rice, which are part of this culture, are available at breakfast. However, there are also options that appeal to a universal breakfast experience (oats, fruit, scrambled eggs, bread varieties, etc.). The only thing missing for us at breakfast was olives. I know that olives are not a common food at breakfast, but it would have been nice to have them. The breakfast was very successful in my opinion, with honey served in small jars, high-quality brands used for butter and cream cheese options, various types of milk available, and quality coffee options. The bed in the room was very comfortable, the pillows were soft, and the blankets were spotless. The suite is quite spacious in terms of square footage. The window isn't very large, but the view is satisfying. The only thing missing in the suite was hotel slippers. It was surprising that there were no slippers in the room, especially in such a luxurious setting. The elevators are incredibly fast and comfortable. The reception is available at all hours and the staff are genuinely friendly. During the day, we encountered housekeeping staff in the corridor, and even though there was some distance between us, they greeted us. This was a very pleasant gesture. You can feel that you are receiving professional hotel service from every department of the hotel at all times.

It is very difficult to find anything negative to say about this hotel.

The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the city. The room had a comfortable bed and an excellent shower. On the plus side the water was soft and good for my skin. The staff were professional and pleasant to talk to during check-in and checkout.

The parking at the hotel was expensive however they offered cheaper parking at an affiliated car park company a short walk from the hotel. Note that you are not guaranteed a space with this alternative parking option even if you book ahead. We spent 25 minutes driving around competing with other drivers for a free space. Another downside was the early closure of room service. On the night we stayed room service was supposed to be until 21:30 however when we tried to order at 21:10 we were told we could no longer order. Despite this we enjoyed our visit and would stay again.

The location is amazing, since you are in the centre of little tokyo. The hotel is also very big and well organized. There is a karaoke bar in the basement and other interesting facilities depending on your taste.

While not being dirty, it was also not the cleanest room. Shower/bathtub was OK, but it was nothing special. Paper towels were almost empty on arrival, towels were stained (unclear if towel was fresh or not). Overall no major complaints, just things where the hotel didn't shine compared to other hotel experiences we've had.

The staff were very accommodating and kind, they put up with our 'in progress' German and helped us out in English when we needed help! The room was very comfy and clean and serviced daily. I requested some black tea and milk and a kettle and tea bags were delivered to my room before we'd made it back upstairs, which was very kind. The bar staff were lovely and the hotel in general has a very upmarket feel without being pretentious, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I've personally had a very restorative week and the Clayton hotel has certainly helped towards that. Thanks 😊

I don't love single mattresses/ duvets together instead of a king sized bed, but I appreciate this is the norm on the continent, I just kept losing my duvet in the night and getting cold toes 😆 that being said, the pillows and duvets were super soft and lovely, I usually struggle with neck ache and use a special pillow at home, but I was fine with these ones.
