I came to Hamburg for a Jamie xx concert at Sporthalle, so I chose hotel by location. I had a great stay here! The bed was a standout feature—firm and supportive, with no dipping in the middle, which meant no back pain in the morning. The duvet was wide and pleasantly heavy, and the pillows were low and comfortable, keeping my neck happy. I also appreciated the small details that made a big difference: A window that could be opened for fresh air. There's air con as well, but fresh air is always better. A bathtub with excellent water pressure, even on the 14th floor. A night light in the bathroom, which was essential since the blackout curtains worked perfectly. Amenities like an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, kettle, and a good selection of teas. The room itself was spacious, with a sturdy and wide nightstand, plus a nice banquette that was perfect for putting on shoes or placing bags. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of cheeses, meats, pastries, and even French toast! No fish, but that’s expected in Germany. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, creamy, and hot, and everything tasted fresh. The check-in process was quick (just a couple of minutes), and check-out was instant. The hotel is also well-located, with a bus stop just a few minutes away and Stadspark within walking distance. Overall, a fantastic experience with well-thought-out details that made my stay comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Air con doesn't go lower than 19, which is not cool enough.

I got this for 110 Euro/night including breakfast. I think that was an exceptional offer, and in fact it's a class above what you'd expect for this price. I had a nice and spacious room with a kettle, tea and coffee, a good bed and a great view. All clean and in perfect condition. Breakfast was great (if expensive if paid for separately). Internet was fine. The adventurous architecture of the building is appreciated. Hamburg's City Nord generally has interesting if somewhat controversial architecture, mainly for offices. It's also quite green, which is nice; the big city park is around the corner. I have seen reviews criticising the public transport connection, but I wouldn't agree with that. Fair enough, it's 12 minutes to the S-Bahn (city train, 2 stations to airport), but there is a pretty useful bus station in max. 5 minutes distance. I got to all kinds of places in Hamburg in about 30 minutes.

The construction of the shower is a bit style over functionality - water isn't very efficiently barred from going on the bathroom floor. I'd have preferred a possibility to open the big windows; it's possible to let some fresh air in, but not a lot.

Checkin was fast and efficient, the room was clean and very well presented. Service in the restaurant was timely and the staff were friendly. We had originally booked Radisson Blu who tried to make us pay €50 extra for an extra bed, despite promising four beds at the time of booking. By contrast Holiday Inn was much nicer to deal with and came through on their agreement without issue and for less money than Raddison.

One pillow was a little lumpy but this was easily sorted with a swap.

Good location, close to the public transport. Taxis replying quickly to the call from reception, proved to be very useful during major events in the city like Taylor Swift concert. Close to the airport as well. Room is big enough and comfy, bed are comfortable. I had minibar included in the price, with a nice choice of local Fritz Cola, Apple juice, water still and sparkling and snacks. Lots of greenery around, clean and safe.

Lighting could be better in the room, no toilet mirror in the room, poor choice of TV channels

The staff was invaluable in changing my booking because I missed one day of my stay and still had a lovely room with a stunning view over the Stadtpark. The S-Bahn station is a five-minute walk; after 10 minutes, I was in the city centre.

Unfortunately, my room has some deep scratches on the floor. Since I always wear socks, this is not an issue, but with small children, it could be an issue if they hurt themselves when crawling.

The location was 10 minutes away from the airport. Staff were nice and helpful. It had a restaurant. Room was okay. On street parking was free.

I sent the property a message a day before my arrival and it never got answered until 2 days after I've checked out. The bigger toilet flush button didn't work so we managed the smaller button which didn't have much pressure. The 27 euro breakfast price was a bit high for the variety of foods at the buffet.

The location though not exactly within the city was easily accesible in 30 mins by train and Bus and also located in a calm location. The room was well prepared and set with clean towels . Enjoyed the stay thoroughly and slept well with no disturbance. Cushions were also set on a reading position and my son was thrilled to see such a warm welcome also with a mini Haribo Sweet Pack too :-)

Reception was a bit slow and passive welcome to guests. Were a bit reluctant to communicate maybe because of the language barrier.

Very nice, clean and modern hotel. Great room. We had the executive room on the 11th floor. Amazing view. Very good breakfast, but it was a bit crowded on the weekend.

The elevators are small for the size of the hotel. Sometimes, we had to wait a lot to get in. The hotel garage is very expensive, but be managed to park on the street. The hotel is far from the city center, but there is a metro station 10-15 minutes walking distance.

The best Holiday Inn we have stayed in and probably one of the nicest hotels in general. Staff were very polite and helpful, loved the gym facilities and the restaurant/bar downstairs. Also, really liked the little tick cards available in the rooms and looked forward to a little treat every morning. Free on street parking directly outside the hotel and lovely views from the hotel windows. Lifts were quick and reliable - been to a few hotels where the lifts just don't work properly.

Parking is 20euros a night if there isn't any on street parking. Also breakfast was very expensive (20euros) per person. No oat milk in bar so was unable to have a hot chocolate (not the end of the world but would've been nice). Parents and brother stayed in another room which was a little cramped with three beds but again probably can't be helped.

Bed was comfy, room was clean. Breakfast was not included in price - paid additional fee for that, but breakfast was good with standard choice of food in comparison to other hotels. I would appreaciate more types of vegetables served.

bedside lamp was not working properly, only reading light therefore felt that it was not enough of light choices in room itself. No closet, no tools to clean shoes.
