Lovely modern rooms with kitchenette. Everywhere super clean. We especially enjoyed sitting outside at the back with a drink from the bar. Staff friendly and willing to help. We had booked the most basic double room but it had everything we needed to cook basic meals (two ring hob, small dishwasher, fridge, pans, plates etc). Only got one dishwasher tablet initially but they gave us more when we asked. We were there during a heatwave but the air conditioning kept the room a pleasant temperature so we slept really well. Laundry room available in the hotel, 3 washing machines and 3 dryers, which you book and pay for via an app, it's about €4 a wash and the detergent is built in (sensitive, fragrance free). Good location near to tram and bus stops, ticket machine located at nearest tram stop just down the road, best to buy day ticket if using a lot. It's also just 10 minutes walk from main Heidelberg station which was really handy. Excellent value for money as rates were really reasonable when we booked and able to save money by eating in.

If being really picky, could do with a few more places to hang towel. Laundry room was located on 4th floor (same as our room) but weirdly we had to go down to ground floor and then walk to a different elevator and go up again! A small amount of oil for cooking would have been handy.

Very nice and friendly staff. Detailed explanation about the facilities and nearby parking spaces was really helpful. A small kiosk at the entrace was 24/7 available. Kitchenette had many things in a small space including the dishwasher which was really helpful.

Would be helpful if the hotel enabled visitors with car to park their car next to their entrance for a short time to allow them unload their luggages before checking in. The linens for the second bed lacked pillow covers. Also some were in a bag, some were not, and we were uncertain whether all items were clean and ready for use. While we did not experience any odor or stains, it would be appreciated if those items were clearly ready for use and distinguished with items that is going to be washed.

Really helpful staff and easy check in and out. Room was spotless and had everything we needed. There are electric chargers in the car park which are free to use with the parking fee apparently but they were all full when we visited, my parking fee was refunded without question. It’s in quite a commercial district so not a lot of shops about but some restaurants close by and not far to some leafy streets with a good playground. Sofa bed was made up for us and not as comfy as a bed but fine and made the room good value 2 room stop over for a family.

The toilet has a glass door! Frosted glass but still a bit odd. Also toilet and bathroom is off the bedroom so when staying as a family less convenient, but not a major issue.

All very clean. No carpets on the floor in the room, which is a good thing. No unwanted smell in the room and in the bathroom. Coffee machine in the kitchinette. Basic breakfast. Good. Too expensive. If you want to walk to the city centre is a little bit too far, 30-40 min. But there is tram nr 22 from Ringstrasse nearby to Bismarckplatz, 3 stops. Big parking lot. Helpful and friendly staff.

Separate room for the toilet, but no water in there. So you’ll put dirty hands on everything on the way to the sink in the bathroom. Totally nonhygienic!!! I don’t know how is this possible in a relatively new and otherwise modern hotel!!! Small bathroom, only one hook. Very clean. A very small sink in the kitchinette, not practical at all. Two yellow pills for decor placed on the clean pillows. A very bad idea. There were others who wrote about it. But this is, probably, the hotel’s policy. They can not move the yellow pillows in another place.😁 Which is bad.

Prety new place, mini apartments. Its great. Pod coffee machine with pods, coffee, tea etc. Fridge, two ring hob, dishwasher and microwave. Adjustable air con. Bathroom with separate loo, comfy bed Love the concept and will be looking for this in the future. Didn't have breakfast, 17euro buffet, but looked good. Stayed an extra night, you need 3 or 4 days for Heidelburg. 14 mins walk from train/bus station. Bus stop outside the door to get into old center. Use info center in old town, daily family travel ticket 12.10euro for all day travel, we went up to Konigstuhl on the bus and to and from Staycity to old town. 700m to Kaufland (big supermarket). Good value, would stay again. Love Heidelburg.

Paying for parking!

Fabulous staff, so helpful and genuinely pleased to see us. Free ice pops and cold flavoured water in reception. A way from the centre but so quiet the short tram ride in was worth it for the great night sleep. 10 minute walk from a good mainly organic supermarket. Nespresso machine in the room with plenty of pods and creamer in the fridge. Nice to have a door between us and the kids even though it was one bedroom apartment. Parking good but need to avoid getting in too late in order to secure a place. We are coming back to stay again on our return journey!

No pool. But that’s okay.

We enjoyed our stay at Staycity Heidelberg very much, the apartment was really nice, with a very comfortable bed, a handy kitchen with good facilities, very clean, offered a very nice breakfast and it also had secure parking at the back of the hotel. All the staff were very helpful and we would especially like to praise Sylvia, who was on reception when we checked in. She was so helpful to us when we rang the hotel initially to check where to park, organised our room perfectly and because we had very limited German, kindly spoke to us in English, recommending where to eat and beautiful places to visit in Heidelberg, the perfect receptionist.

Apartments provide a small kitchen with a fridge. Modern furniture, extra-long beds with hard matresses. Reception area has a small supermarket with snacks and necessities.

There is no place to stop and unload the luggage. I was very nervous when I arrived at the hotel, as there is literally nowhere to stop the car, the streets are very narrow, and the only option seems to be to drive into the hotel parking lot, which charges 15 EUR per day. I think this is not a reasonable price, as the hotel is not located in the city center. Please make the arrival experience for guests using the car less nervous.

Clean, quiet studio. Extremely comfortable bed with good pillows and plush covers. Fabulous enclosed shower with lots of hot water, good pressure and a free-flowing drain (shampoo and shower gel provided). Plenty of vanity space around the sink to set toiletries. Good lighting, lots of electrical outlets to charge devices. Very welcoming and helpful front desk staff. Excellent location a short walk from the Heidelberg Hbf. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property to other travelers.

A suggestion for management: Almost all hotels around the world have discontinued the outdated and extremely unsanitary practice of putting decorative pillows on the bed. Guests want clean sheets and no one is happy when you put dirty pillows on them (pillows that people set on the floor and you do not wash after every guest). It would be great if you would end this very unsanitary practice (which would also save you money!).

Honestly, just decided to have a rest, because I realised I was too tired to drive home, so picked up the closest cheapest hotel aaaand actually this hotel was a positive surprise. Arrived/checked in around midnight, there were more people at the reception and they were especially kind and helpful. I could park inside the hotel's park (it's a sort of unique thing in Heildelberg) and they allowed me to park there additional hours after checkout to be able to explore the city.

There is a room for improvement regarding the cleaning, but that's all.
