The location of the hotel is perfect, very easy to reach from the airport or from the central bus station. If you are sensitive to sound during the night, I would suggest asking to be placed in a room that faces the internal courtyard.

The Wi-Fi connection was a bit unstable. The shower is a bit troubling because there's no possibility to close it completely; therefore, the entire bathroom will get wet. Anyway, this is very common in Crete, so it would have happened everywhere.

I stayed at this hotel for 16 nights on a business trip, and the experience was very positive. The value for money is excellent. My room was quite spacious. The central location allowed me to explore the city in the evenings after work. The room was cleaned every morning. The staff were very kind and efficient. Thank you!

The free Wi-Fi was a bit slow, but nothing that affected my stay at the hotel

Excellent location. The hotel is situated in the city centre. Around cafes, shops and restaurant. It rather place for younger people, because on Saturday was a bit loud because of the street party. Very friendly staff, for sur I will return to El Greco hotel.

Poor Internet. The hotel needs redecorating. Looks like from 70' last century. Inside is even a phone box. Also lack of some drink bark makes impression that this is student house rather than hotel.

My stay at the El Greco started on a sour note due to an unpleasant interaction with a condescending staff member. After being incorrectly told that my friend was already in my room, I went upstairs only to find the room empty. When I returned to the front desk to retrieve my key, the staff member admonished me for not checking the pigeon holes first, rather than acknowledging his own mistake. As a paying guest, I was taken aback by his dismissive attitude and failure to provide courteous service. While the hotel itself was satisfactory, this incident left a negative impression.

I have mobility issues. So the toilet are is very tight for me. The toilets need to face into the room and not into the sliding doors. And no toilet on the ground floor. Heraklion does not cater for people with mobility issues. All toilets are upstairs with no lifts at restaurants coffee shops all the same

The staff is polite. Hotels' location is central. It is an ideal spot for walks and visits to most of the city's points of interest

the bathroom is very narrow, and the basin is crammed into a corner, just enough to be used by a small child. The mattress was hard. The room needs renovation. Due to traffic changes in the city, the hotel is not accessible by vehicle. You can get relatively close by vehicle and after a short walk you are at the site.

A centrally located hotel just near the Morosini Fountain, perfect for a long weekend in Heraklion. Rooms are cleaned daily. The bus station is in 5 Min. walking distance, many supermarkets and restaurants nearby. For seafood lovers I can recommend Vranas, restaurant located in a quiet small street with great menue and nice prices. Grilled octopus, sepia cooked in own ink with red wine and fresh fried anchovies are must try there!

Can be a bit noisy in the night because of the central location. The beds were quite hard. The Wi-Fi connection was very weak and unstable, constantly interrupting.

The room was very clean and housekeeping refreshed the room beautifully each day. The staff at reception were helpful and professional. It was right in the centre of town and I loved my balcony and the whole room. I felt like it was really good value, very professionally run and more like a 3 star hotel. I had pretty much everything I needed - nice size desk, good wardrobe with shelves and a fridge. It felt safe and secure.

The Wi-Fi was very slow and I ended up hot spotting to my phone. It would have been nice to have an electric jug but not sure if that can be expected for the price. The black out curtains were good but there was no see through curtain for privacy so if I wanted to get changed I felt like I had to close the black out blinds and turn on the lights unless the windows were tinted and I did not realise.

This hotel is right in the heart of Heraklion. All around you can find shops, cafés and restaurants. Very pleasant place. It's a basic hotel but extremely good value for money. Clean towels and sheets and room cleaned every single day. Staff pleasant. Would definitely choose it again. Also a safe with a number combination to use.

We tried the breakfast once which was 5 euro. It was a kind of all you can eat but the food was pre packaged. They did have boiled eggs, cereal, Greek yoghurt to choose. But the coffee not so great. We decided to have breakfast out. There are so many places to choose from and a variety of prices. The rooms and bathrooms in particular are on the small side but it wasn't a big problem for us.

It was ok to stay for a short period of time (1 day).

Breakfast was so so. 1 egg, 1 bun, some butter, a couple of cookies, 1 apple and pretty much it. I suggest getting breakfast somewhere else. Another thing. You need to sign a form that the hotel is not responsible for the valuables left in your room. The funny thing is that you need to leave your room key at the reception desk when you leave your hotel.
