The hotel was a nice surprise! Location is absolutely wonderful, staff very friendly, rooms and bathroom very clean. Breakfast well prepared with good choice of fresh salad, fruit, and all day coffee, tea, juices. Also pleasant to be able to open a window in the hotel room!!

The breakfast area is not extremely spacious, found out later that there is also a possibility to use the upper diner room. This was not mentioned at check in and might be a suggestion to mention.

Location, friendly staff, cosy room with a view at the Synagogue and the street, yet not noisy even for the light sleeper. Very polite young people work in the hotel.

Food choice could be wider. For dinner, the hotel offers just a few dishes and that's fine, but almost all of them are Eastern Mediterranean and they have few Hungarian dishes as well. That means spicy food so people with even minor digestive issues can't make the right choice. Also, children especially young wouldn't be able to eat anything. That's important because families with small kids often opt for half board.

We stayed at Memories Hotel in Budapest in January with our child, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. We arrived early in the morning and were pleasantly surprised to receive a free early check-in — such a thoughtful gesture that made a big difference after our trip. The breakfasts were delicious, fresh, and varied. The location is perfectly central — we could walk everywhere, no need for public transport at all. The staff was exceptional: kind, polite, and always responsive to any requests or questions we had. One situation really stood out — when our friends’ child suddenly felt unwell, the staff reacted immediately. They called a taxi, gave clear instructions, and showed incredible care and attention, helping them get to the hospital quickly and safely. We’re deeply grateful for their support during that stressful moment. Overall, great value for money, especially considering the central location and the free lounge access. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area. Huge thanks to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable — we’ll definitely be back!

The hotel is perfectly located in the center of the city, right across from the synagogue. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the staff were very kind and helpful. Additionally, the breakfast was excellent, providing a great start to the day.

This isn't a bad experience, just some tips for improvement. The dinner menu offered some interesting choices, and the presentation of the food was very good. However, the cooking was quite average and sometimes not even tasty. The duck and chicken were overly salty and almost inedible. On a positive note, the jacuzzi is very nice and located in a private area; you can book it for an hour. However, most of the functions don't work, and it only creates bubbles or pressure in the middle, with the rest of the features being non-functional.

Our stay at Hotel Memories gave us good memories of Budapest. The room was spotless and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The location is perfect. It’s convenient to explore all the nearby attractions. Every morning, the breakfast was delicious, with a great variety to choose from. I especially loved the 24-hour access to drinks and snacks, which was a nice touch. The amenities were top-notch, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate any request, always with a friendly smile. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience!

Very good location, room is exactly as the photos on the website so no surprises there. There is a very nice restaurant within the hotel that has very nice food at reasonable prices. The breakfast area is open all day with drinks and some snacks which is quite nice. Comfortable rooms and you can use the laundry room yourself at no additional cost which is really good. Breakfast has a wide variety of most items.

We stayed in a room with view to the Synagogue. It is a very busy road so it was noisy at times. If you have issues with this time of noise request a room with view for the carpark. For us this was not really a problem so it was ok. For breakfast the variety on fruit was reduced. Mostly watermelon and kiwi :) It would be nice if they could have some grapes and berries. But apart from that it was really good.

The location of the hotel is excellent, it is in the very center right next to the Synagogue. The room is neat and clean, but not too big. Although the rooms are on the first floor and right next to the street, which is quite busy, the soundproofing is excellent, so if you close the window, you won't hear anything from outside. Upon arrival, we received a coupon for a free drink (cocktail, beer or lemonade) in the bar right next to the hotel. The breakfast is excellent and varied.

We ordered a taxi from the airport to the hotel in advance through the hotel, but the driver did not show up. The reception staff does not say hello to guests when entering/exiting the hotel, even though as guests we always say hi first, which is very unprofessional. Only the boy who worked the night shift always said hi to us and was very nice and kind.

Great central location opposite the synagogue on the Pest side. Loads of restaurants, cafes and ruin bars in the immediate vicinity. Not far to walk to many attractions. Clean, well presented rooms. Well stocked breakfast. Friendly & helpful staff. Refreshments (tea, coffee, juices, water, cereal, pastries, fruit) available at all times for free in the breakfast area.

Rooms overlooking the synagogue were noisy (we had to move to an inner room). Continual noise disturbed sleep, noise from traffic on busy street directly outside and people walking past. The Window provided no noise insulation. Breakfast area was too small so at peak time it was crammed.

My stay at Hotel Memories Budapest last week was truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff greeted us warmly with smiles and genuine hospitality. Despite the rooms being a tad cozy, they exuded a charming ambiance. The hotel's prime location made exploring the city effortless, with everything within walking distance. Additionally, receiving a complimentary first drink upon check-in was a pleasant surprise, adding an extra touch of hospitality to our experience. Overall, our experience at Hotel Memories Budapest exceeded expectations, thanks to the friendly staff, convenient location, and enjoyable amenities. We look forward to returning in the future.

Breakfast was good - they also have a snack area during the day, so you could get a fruit drink (on-site), some fruit and some pastries. Staff were very helpful (5 star effort). Location just near the synagogue and within walking distance to Danube and to main metro station. Tram 49 to Kelenföld Train and Bus Station is about a 5min walk (if travelling with luggage, take a tram rather than the metro as the metro is only 2 carriages and packed).

Note that single rooms are up a flight of stairs (around 20 steps), which is not noted on Booking.com (it states upper floors accessible by lift - and though you take the lift to the 1st floor, the single rooms are then up a flight of stairs).
