We stayed at this hotel for a week. What definitely pleased us was its location. It is within walking distance of the main attractions and points of interest. In addition, I cannot fail to mention the helpful staff. All problems were solved as quickly as possible, and questions were answered promptly and in detail.

What was missing and we didn't like, but didn't affect our overall impression: the lack of luggage storage and weak Wi-Fi signal in our room. We were surprised by the penalty for unwashed dishes, but it wasn't a problem. What left a negative impression was the extremely limited set of dishes in the room. Two sets of cutlery and two sets of flat and deep plates are fine, but the lack of a frying pan is a problem, forcing us to adjust our diet to the available kitchen utensils. In addition, there is no extractor hood above the stove.

Great apartment in a fantastic location, staff were really helpful.

The description could do with mentioning: - ALL of the property is up two flights of stairs with no lift (it mentions that upper levels are accessible only by stairs, but they are all on the upper level) - the fridge in the room is a minibar only: it is barely cold. The fridge available is shared with every room in another corridor. - the sharp knives, bottle opener, iron and clothes airer are also shared- so is someone else is using them you may not have the facility None of this would prevent me from using it again, and I would still recommend it but I also like to know what to expect.

Beautiful historic building located very centrally in a quiet street next to the foreign embassies. The world famous Andrássy boulevard is less than a minute away. The view from the little balcony was stunning. I’ve enjoyed watching Budapest waking up while sipping my coffees in the mornings. The room is light and specious. The concierge is helpful and friendly.

These are opportunities for improvement that would not prevent us from coming back though: - The housekeeping staff were talking among themselves across the corridor very loudly at 8am. We were asleep and had to get out and close additional doors to the corridor to keep the sound down. - The small fridge was on/off throughout our stay.

The hotel was located in a very nice area. The metro station “Oktogon” was just downstairs. There were also other facilities like Tram and bus stations.But even if you prefer to walk everything is at a decent distance so you don’t have to always take the public transport. The entire area around was amazing with beautiful architecture at every corner with a lot of trees so it’s great for walking and sightseeing. There were also many restaurants and cafeterias. There is also a big Spar-shop if you prefer. I strongly recommend this hotel both for its great staff and its appartaments which are great, comfortable and cozy. We loved it, hope you will too!

House Octogon was incredible and I would particularly recommend it if you want good value for money. The room was huge and the aircon was great especially in the hot summer. We were shocked to see such a large bath but it was a welcome surprise and was put to good use. Very good location, central and easy to access public transport if necessary.

It was a bit rough walking up so many flights of stairs with a 25kg suitcase. The water in the shower/bath would go cold after a period of time.

An impressive, yet typical building from Budapest hosts this perfect place for your stay. The street in front of it is very quiet, yet very close to Oktogon intersection, one of the most important in Pest. Restaurants, convenient stores, coffee shops - everything you need is there. Paid parking place can be easily found on the street, or in the parking buildings around. The rooms are very cozy and warm, with all the facilities needed for short or medium stay. The host are extremely kind and willing to help. Check-in/check-out it's quick and easy.

This is a wonderful place to stay with a caring host and staff that made sure all our needs were met. Beautiful large room, balcony and kitchenette was as we hoped for. Location is great, with easy public transportation to all areas for visitors of Budapest. A nice park and outdoor farmers market is also nearby as well as cultural musical theaters, great outdoor restaurants, good bars all within walking distance.

Hotel room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Location was fantastic, easy access to tourist attractions through public transport (or walking). On a quiet street so we slept very well. Hotel staff were very nice and arranged an easy self check in.

The hotel was perfect for us, nothing wrong! The hotel doesn’t have a lift and is on the second floor so there are lots of stairs, but they let us know this before we arrived and this was not a problem for us.

The accommodation is in a central road between St.Stephen's Square and the hero Square so it's the perfect location for you to explore the city by foot (and if you don't like that there is a station near by for tram or bus ). The room was amazing even better than the photos and the hospitality was excellent She waited for us even after the working hours (it's not a 24h reception and was 25th of December ) just to welcome us and give as all's the information we need it

Everything was excellent

The apartment was clean, bright, and very comfortable for stay for some days. The air conditioning was a lifesaver in the summer heat, and the bathroom was spacious.

The pillows were not very comfortable – it was hard to even consider them proper pillows. You can request better ones at reception. Also, please note there are quite a lot of steps to reach the apartment. If you’re traveling with children, keep this in mind.
