Our room did not stink which was relieve (almost everything in mumbai do). The room was also pretty large in comparison with other hotels I have visited yet and was also clean. Staff at the hotel was always helpful and nice. I would like to stress that we even had a separate work room (desk with chair) in the separate room, which we really appreciated.

The swimming pool is parody, hotel bar is a scam (prices are insane even for europeans)...We were also not pleased with the dirty curtain in the bathroom (nothing terrible, but for the price I paid I would not expect it)....I would also aprreciate if the hotel would consider to write allergens on the labels at breakfast.

A nice hotel by the sea" This was our first visit at this luxury hotel. When we came we got help with free upgrade, after a misunderstanding with the room that we had booked on Booking. We got upgraded from "Standard room" to "Executive suit" The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was outstanding, with a lot of food options. So was dinner at the hotel's restaurant. And we got good help with our food allergies every time we had a meal at the hotel. It`s a perfect location if you want to be near the Marine Drive. And it`s also nearby Gateway of India and Colaba street.

The location the Friendly staff and exceptional food in all restaurants. The roof top are and swimming pool was a place we could relax in the afternoon and then enjoy fine dine cuisine. George’s bar was intriguing and the Bay View restaurant amazing food and helpful staff. The car service we received to take us on a tour was first class organised by the reception staff also we had the same chauffeur the next day to the airport and he was one of the best drivers we have ever had the privilege to be escorted by. He carried our cases and ensured we saw and did all we wanted to. Foyt this we are very grateful.

The actual room was a great size although not sure about the lobby area or its purpose. The bedrooms are great size as was the bathroom the only downside was the decoration I.e walls looked neglected and could do with some paint. The bathroom was very clean but again looked old needs some tender loving care, just to brighten it up. The beds were comfortable, the duvets needed to be newer as the ones on the beds were grey due to over use. The mini bar could do with a better selection and water should be given more frequently. We ordered breakfast in our room for the last day with reception and never received it even after phoning house keeping. You pay top dollar you expect attention to small details.

We stayed in the Superior and Executive rooms and they were quite spacious. The rooms were clean and we had no dramas with any of the amenities. We enjoyed the rooftop views and quick access to the bay and nearby restaurants and shops. It's also close to tourist attractions and the train station. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and the highlight of our mornings.

The pool was a little bit of a letdown, it was quite small and I realised that you can see the bottom of the pool from the lobby.

Good communication in advance. Proactive and generous response to our hassle with airport pick up. Staff were friendly, professional and efficient. Large selection of vegetarian foods on buffet breakfast and evening buffet. Large room with attached office room, very comfy beds and great shower. Airport Pick up (organised in advance via hotel) was a no-show and we had to chase the driver up twice.

The room was spacious with plentiful supplies of water and toiletries provided. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows and duvet were divine.

The bathroom was rather dated having a shower over the bath rather than a separate shower cubicle. Also there wasn't a lift directly to the floor where breakfast was served, lift had to be taken to lobby and then stairs used to access the restaurant, this would make it difficult for people with mobility problems to stay at the hotel.

Hotel is lovely with great character. Excellent location in Colaba. Breakfast is fantastic and rooms good size, clean and had everything we needed.

Food and drink in hotel is silly expensive. Old English pub on site just empty with no atmosphere likely due to high prices. Allamanda roof terrace with pool being largely advertised but there is just nothing there. Pool was lovely but only 3 sunbeds, no parasols for shelter and staff started noisily dragging tables around at 4pm to set up evening eating area. Bar on roof was never open. Such a shame as it could be an amazing roof top area. Asked 2 young girls on reception if they could check us into our flight home and print boarding passes as these are required to enter Indian airports. They were most unhelpful and said ‘ oh no we can’t help with that’ . Luckily a slightly older lady appeared and took over and sorted for us.

The hotel was extremely clean, the staff very friendly and decorated very well. The view from the roof terrace was fantastic and general area was very nice. Great location for visiting Gate of India and getting boat to Elephant Island.

The restaurant food was excellent but a little on the expensive side (from what I'm used to whilst living in India). There was a private party on the roof terrace/pool so I didn't get to spend much time there unfortunately.

We liked the views from the room and the dining area of the sea. The beds were comfy and the room was very spacious with everything we needed. We were delighted as the hotel kindly upgraded our room free of charge. The area was safe and the security at the entrance gave us a piece of mind. Everyone was checked and bags screen before entry. Excellent service! All staff were pleasant and kind.

I thought the breakfast was expensive and would have thought it should have been included in the price we paid for the room. We booked 3 days before we arrive though. Nonetheless, the breakfast was good and had a nice variety!
