The location overlooking the Marine drive and view of the sea from the room was fantastic. You could easily cross the street and enjoy the sea view and Mumbai skyline. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The bathrooms are also large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The Hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. The service is excellent. The biggest USPs of this hotel are: 1. It has retained its old-world charm in a fast-changing world. 2. The housekeeping and room service staff are all locals. This adds a local touch to your holiday, especially if you hail from a different state. I wish to make special mention of Vinay More, who served us breakfast, with a very warm touch. 3. The tea they serve is excellent, brought in a flask and generous in quantity. We could always top up our cups after the first one. We were met by Ms. Manasi, who enquired if our stay was comfortable and asked for our feedback. The location provided easy access to landmarks and transport. The iconic Pizza by the Bay restaurant is a mere few steps away. Walk a little further and you can enjoy excellent ice cream sandwich at the age-old Rustom & Co. It was a delight to watch an 80+ year old lady manage the cash receipts while the day's specials were handwritten on a whiteboard. All in all, a great experience !!

Some contingencies are not provided for. There was power outage ( I understand very rare), but there are no emergency lights, or generator or inverter, not even candles. The fan speed in the rooms should be increased, as even at full, the air throw is not sufficient.

Good location. Central to Churchgate area of Mumbai and 100inr taxi ride from Gateway of India. View over the Back Bay. Can see the sunset from balcony on 4th floor. Very authentic Mumbai experience in terms of the cacophony that is the traffic of Mumbai and the cars beeping. I used earplugs at nightBank and restaurant next door, pharmacy round the corner. About one hour taxi ride from airport which cost me 1300inr.

Only luke warm water for shower (I'm into cold therapy so made it work) and no scraper to remove water from floor after shower. Floor is slippery when wet. Be careful.

All of the staff are very courteous and supportive. Great location, The old-world charm of the place gave a distinct experience. Cleanliness is maintained. The Coffee shop in the premises of the hotel is a great plus. Overall, I had a very positive experience, and will consider staying here again.

Some of the furniture and fittings are very old. The washroom needs to be modified well as I could hear people outside in the passage from the washroom, which is very strange. . More variety needed in breakfast.

I stayed there with my husband and my son. We booked the ‘queen’s necklace’ suite. The views were amazing particularly during sunrise, sunset and night time. It was close to Gateway of India. Marine drive location is the best for staying in Mumbai and for enjoying the city.,

The hotel needs updating as systems in bathroom are old. Lots of water on bathroom floor and risk of slipping and falling was high. The floor of bathroom was very high level as compared to the room and my husband had a fall as he has limited mobility.

Of all the positives, the hotel's location will hold the first place. Also, a good hotel with cooperative staff is like icing on the cake. Sea Green is beautiful inside-out. The building gives retro vibes and that's everything. Old is gold. We were served good that we felt sad to leave the place. Hoping to go back again.

The physical state and amenities have not improved over the years. They should renovate the rooms and put better furniture.. There is no dining room, and the space in the room is not proper to have breakfast.. it would not appeal to Westerners. Also need a proper safe in the room.

The location was superb and the view of the sea from our balcony a real treat. The long established hotel (I stayed there first 40 years ago) is professionally and friendly run. A special atmosphere. The staff looking after our room and breakfast were extremely thoughtful and friendly! Chapeau to them!

The room had just been refurbished and the shower did not work very well.

The absolute gorgeous views just right out of your balcony. Perfect place to chill. The smiling & courteous staff were always around to help you for whatever it is you needed.

Though it has an old world charm, the interiors can be done up a bit more nicely, the place has a lot of potential. The balconies can be repainted too, the railings were chipping off.

Great location in Mumbai overlooking the sea. About 20/25min walk to the Gateway. Easy check in/out. Big sized room. Old fashioned small elevator. Looks of places to eat within about 5mins.

Shower was often very cold even when hot water switched on for sometime; although not a problem for us as we found Mumbai very hot :)

The hotel is located on Marine Drive with clear views of the Arabian Sea from the front facing rooms. It is Mumbai's best location. The rooms are big and the ambience is quiet. Many key tourist attractions are within 2-4 kms. Breakfast is free but with limited choices. Absence of dining room means lunch and dinner have to be either ordered from an outside restaurant or had in other restaurants. Staff are helpful and you get 2 morning papers every day

The bathrooms need a makeover with more modern facilities. The single beds in my Queen's Necklace suite were narrow
