The staff was extremely friendly and responsive to our requests. We've stayed in the hotel many times over the last few years, and the staff has definitely improved. The hotel's location is perfect-right on the lake, but away from the main busy road, and the rail line.

The breakfast hours need to be extended. When you're on vacation you don't want to get up and get ready early every day to make breakfast. It's why so many guests come to the dining room between 0930-1000. I think the hotel needs to extend the hours to 1030.

The property very well situated (in a more quiet corner of the boulevard) but very closer to everything. Staff was very friendly and helpful (Pawel who greeted us at the reception was exceptional, very friendly, provided advice and was super helpful). The hotel has a really cool vibe to it, made me think of the Titanic. It is a bit dated inside but the charm has been maintained - the views from the lake side rooms are truly incredible- I could have sat out in the balcony all day just looking out. The room was comfortable and had everything you’d need for a short stay, wifi was great. The pool was an added bonus for a hot day, but it isn’t heated so definitely not the kid of pool one can play in. The hotel has loungers by the pool overlooking lake Leman and the towering mountains (just stunning).

I’d recommend heating the pool, it would be so much more enjoyable. For us it worked very well because it was a very hot day!

Check in was fast and easy all staff in the hotel were friendly and professional. Our room location was on the top floor overlooking the breath taking lake view and mountains. We asked for this when booking. The area was so quiet and peaceful. We both slept so well during our stay we really didn't want too leave to return home. The room was very clean, with regular linen and towel changes. Each day we had fresh bottled water put in our room. We asked for tea/coffee making facilities in our room at reception and within 10 minutes it was brought to our room. The food in the hotel restaurant was very good along with the hotel breakfast.

The toilet seat in our bathroom kept falling down on my back when using the toilet. It needs fixing. There should be a non- slip mat to be used when getting in and out of the bath. I accidentally left a book on Ernest Hemingway , my Chanel perfume and my Dior make- up in the room. Although I rang reception quickly and asked management to give these missed items to my co- traveller who had stayed on in another room for an extra night, the items had vanished. I was very disappointed that whoever cleaned the rooms must have kept these items worth $400. This is poor.

Hotel Eden Palace au Lac was a beautiful “ Belle Epoque” hotel with lovely modern facilities. Fantastic location and although our standard room did not have a lake view it didn’t really matter as fantastic views of lake Geneva from foyer/ lounge and breakfast room. The air conditioning was very welcome due to hot weather. The breakfast was delicious and extensive choice. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Step out the front door and you were on the beautiful lakeside walk. For Freddie Mercury fans the Queen Studio experience ( free of charge) was steps away at the Montreux Casino. We LOVED our couple of days in Montreux and so pleased we chose Hotel Eden Palace au Lac .

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Eden Palace au Lac in the heart of Montreux, Switzerland, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel’s Belle Époque charm and its breathtaking location right on the shores of Lake Geneva. The view from my room was simply stunning—I could wake up each morning to the serene beauty of the lake framed by the majestic Swiss Alps. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, maintaining that classic European elegance with large windows that opened out to a private balcony. Although some of the furnishings were a bit dated, I found it added to the nostalgic charm of the place rather than detracting from it. Everything was immaculately clean, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job of keeping it that way throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the exceptional service and breakfast. The staff were genuinely friendly and eager to help with anything I needed, whether it was arranging local tours or simply providing directions. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made the stay feel warm and welcoming.

Location and view from the room, cannot beat the first in line from Geneva lake. The room was very clean.

Even though the hotel states they have parking available on sight turns out they only have 9 parking spots for 100 rooms, we needed to park at the public parking nearby (which was to be fair very close so no huge inconvenience there). When we went to our room we realized it doesn't have a balcony even though we booked a room with a balcony. Instead of apologizing the reception said they are fully booked and cannot do anything about it. I said I would like to have what I booked. After 1 minute of search the reception staff found a room with a balcony right next to the room we were initially assigned.

The location of the Eden Palace is very convenient, the hotel is a landmark on the Montreux lakefront. Our room was renovated probably a couple of years ago and was practical, with great views on the lake from the 3rd floor. In the hotel stayed mainly groups and a few couples. From the hotel, it was a close walk to great bars/restaurants such as the "Les voiles" that I highly recommend. The breakfast was solid and hearty, but nothing special. The staff was friendly, in an efficient way. Overall, this hotel is a good choice with good value for money, but more practical than extraordinary.

The Eden Palace belongs to the large cohort of Swiss hotels that have been gradually updated, but would need a general overhaul. This is fine, as the price was really ok. Our room was not clean, but this was quickly and professionally addressed. There was water, but no coffee/tea in the room. The lobby and other common areas are very sparsely furnished and outdated. The noisy vacuuming and cleaning of the terrace started around 7am. The in-house restaurant Chez Gaston was overpriced and some staff there were so rude, that we went elsewhere (so sad for such a great location!).

What a stunning place to stay for three nights. The room was huge and very clean with a spectacular view of the lake and mountains. I made sure to get one with a view. There was no problem getting a kettle from reception and the restaurant even gave me a jug of milk for my tea/coffee. Seeing as there was a fridge this was perfect for a coffee in the morning. The restaurant downstairs is beautiful and what is even better is that there’s a 20% reduction for residents. Because there is a direct train from Geneva airport to Montreux it makes it a perfect place for a beautiful relaxing weekend. The staff were lovely too.

Absolutely nothing.

We booked the room overlooking the lake, we were on the top Floor room 508 and OMG the views were amazing over the lake with a mountain top back drop beautiful. Worth every penny just for the view, the room was a nice size with balcony table and chairs. The only thing we missed was a coffee making facilities in the room, would of been nice to have that so we could of sat outside on the balcony with a coffee on the mornings enjoying the views and fresh mountain air. I would recommend this hotel with out question if you take the lake view room.
