It’s a modern hotel which has evidently been recently refurbished, while preserving some fun exhibits from the 70s such as a vintage motorcycle and hulls of Italian racing cars. Room modern, nice new bathroom with large slate-floored shower cabin (incl separate massage shower). Excellent breakfast catering for vegan, lactose-intolerant and gluten-intolerant guests. Comfortable, generous beds. Quiet (but because of hot weather we did not open the window). Tip-top blinds make the room completely dark for sleeping. The owner Signor Marco and staff Signori Stefano and Claudio were helpful and attentive. Signora Raffaela made sure that everyone had a good breakfast. Excellent location for the ferry port (2 minutes on foot). Beaches 10 min walk in either direction.

Weather was very hot and we could not get the air conditioning to bring the room temperature below 26.4 Celsius. Bathroom was quite warm and didn’t ventilate too well, so towels remained a bit damp. But maybe that was just our room, which was the last room available. Desenzano is expensive and so the slightly elevated price reflects the local economy.

Cozy hotel near the embankment, but in a quiet place. Excellent staff, delicious breakfasts, comfortable bed, good linen, there is a refrigerator and kettle in the room. Special thanks for the help upon departure.

Еverything is ok

We had a wonderful 2-night stay. City Hotel`s location is super - close to the lake, restaurants and shops. Personnel is very friendly and helpful, they organized beautiful and tasty cake for my husband on his birthday. Rooms are convenient and clean, equipped with minibar and kettle. Very good breakfast with large choice of different products: scrambled eggs and bacon, yogurt and granola, pastries, fruits, tasty coffee etc. We stayed there ca 9 years ago and will come definitely again. There are interesting details connected with Ferrari Formula 1.

Lovely modern hotel. Spotless clean. 5 minutes walk to the lake lots of bars, restaurants and shops, minutes to the ferry to explore the lake

Nothing to dislike The bathroom lovely, could possibly use a grab rail for over the bath shower and maybe the shower rail and head moved to a better position because when you turned it on the water went onto to bathroom floor which isn't good when stepping over the bath to get out.

The hotel far exceeded my expectations for its 3 star rating. It looked modern, was well furbished, very clean and tidy. The Junior Suite was well laid out with plenty of room and comfortable beds. Air conditioning worked very well and was definitely needed in 34 degree heat. Lovely spacious shower and thoughtful toiletries and slippers provided due to laminate flooring that's slippery when wet! Staff on the front desk were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Available 24x7. Location is a short walk from the station or the ferry making it ideally situated.

The excellent location, 5 minutes walk to ferries and 12mins to main station, the neighbourhood which is right next to the center is beautiful and safe. The staff is very helpful and kind, they upgraded our room to a suite which was a bonus thank you. The room is large, comfy and clean. The continental breakfast is good, served in a nicely decorated lounge with a balcony, the breakfast room lady is nice and kind. The hotel decor is tastefully done. Will definitely come back and tell family/friends.

Small and friendly in a good location not far from the lake front. Room was small but we didn’t spend much time in it so it wasn’t a problem. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is a 15 minute walk downhill from the train station and is in a quiet location away from the noise and bustle of the lake front.

The hotel was exactly what we needed, it ticked all the boxes, very good location, nice breakfast, modern renovated room, especially the bathroom. For me, the breakfast is all about the coffee, and here the coffee was one of the best I ever had, I know this is about everybody's taste, but for me it was perfect. Steps away from the pedestrian area and the boat station, if you want to explore the lake by boat, which is a very nice experience.

I wish the rooms had a balcony, but this was not an issue.

There could be more hot options for breakfast only egg and bacon. A healthier option for bacon with less fat would have been really appreciated. There was no milk available for teas and coffees in the room, we had to ask reception. Soya milk was not available to make teas/coffees in the room. This is a shame as milk/lactose allergy is quite common and a milk alternative would have been appreciated.

The location was perfect near the center, pretty close to the train station ( 20 minute walk) and very near the lakeside cafes, restaurants and ferry dock. The breakfast spread was impressive with a variety of coffees, teas, juices, muffins, pancakes, waffles, fruits, yogurts, scrambled eggs and bacon. All set out in a very welcoming and spacious dining area with indoor and outdoor seating. You can’t go wrong here.
