Excellent location, great breakfast & so tasty. Rooms cleaned every day. We stayed in the regular double room with a balcony. We had a stunning view over looking the pool and could see the lake in the distance. The hotel was a 5 min walk from the station and 10 mins down hill to the centre. I would highly recommend Hotel Benaco when staying in Desenzano. Great value for money.

At certain times, evening & morning, I heard a lot of noise (talking & animals) from other rooms.

We really liked this hotel. We didn't dare to expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a great location - in a quiet and safe area overlooking the lake, only a 10-minute walk to the most active area of ​​Desenzano. There are many different places to eat nearby. We were able to park our rental car in the hotel courtyard. The hotel room was big enough and decent, with a balcony overlooking the pool and the lake. The hotel breakfast was rich enough and really tasty. The pool area was just the right size and very comfortable. You could order cocktails and snacks from the hotel bar/cafe. Special thanks to the staff - they were so friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile.

The hotel is at nice location, 10-15 minutes walk to the waterfront. It has a beautiful swimming pool and garden that we could not use due to weather. The room was fine with a lot of light and view to the lake. The breakfast was good, with sufficient selection of food and pastry. Replenishment of empty food trays was not as timely as expected. Free parking is a bonus! The staff was very nice, kind and helpful.

The bathroom was too small, crowded, and both the door of the bathroom and the shower cabine were squeaking, needing adjustment and/or WD40. LIghts in the bathroom could be better as well.

Very nice property, well kept and clean, beautiful little garden with seating furniture, nice pool. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Check In/Out easy and fast. Breakfast was very good and had a good selection of eggs, baked beans, hash browns, jams & jellys, danishes, honey comb, cereal, pancake station and more. There was a bar on the main floor as well where you could get some cocktails or a snack. Beautifully decorated. Conveniently located without having to enter a ZTL, close to the train station and main town, about a 10 min. walk up hill upon returning from the main town area / harbour but not too bad at all. Room was very clean and had a nice balcony.

The pictures on booking showed one double bed and 2 singles for a family room, but ours had bunk beds which wasn’t too comfortable for our very tall 14 year old due to his size.

Near to train station. Suitable for those who need to compromise between staying by the lake front and the train station. My stay was a quick stop over. The room served its purpose with the view of the lake in distance. The breakfast was exceptional. I would suggest the hotel to show more photos of the breakfast. Coffee machine with most selection of milk I have ever seen; honey comb (literally); automatic pancake machine with Lindt liquid chocolate dispenser.

Not too sure if it was an oversight but this hotel is the only one out of my 6 lodgings in Italy that doesn't provide bottled water.

Welcoming staff, stylish foyer, enticing swimming pool - all gave a good impression upon arrival. The room was immaculately clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Little squares of chocolate to go with the provided coffee always go down well. The terrace was small but adequate - if we'd been staying more than one night we might have asked for a better view! Excellent choice at breakfast.

Little to fault - though, having recently survived a pavement accident in Verona, I would suggest that the loose and broken paving slabs on the room terrace should be remedied urgently. The hotel is convenient for the station but a bit of a walk from the delights of Decenzano's lakeside - no problem if you're fit but maybe worth thinking about if you have any mobility issues.

The Greeting by Pamela was extraordinary. That smile that Understanding of my request and the kindness I will chemisch in my heart forever. The delicious chocolate which is complimentary is a plus too . Cute interior Design. Cute small Single room enough for my stay. With an exceptional breakfast. 3 min from the Train Station.

A fridge in my room would've made my stay perfect ..Well if weather. Or Pool would have been heated. Haha as I so wanted to swim As i packed a swimsuit...but I think I mistead or it wasnt really stated That its just later that year open or warm enough to use it.

The hotel’s location is perfect, a few minutes from the train station and a 15 minute walk into town. It’s well maintained and beautifully decorated. Breakfast had a good variety on offer. The bed was extremely comfortable; we had a decent sized room with a balcony (an unexpected bonus). Staff were friendly and welcoming. It was lovely to relax in the garden and poolside. Thanks for a wonderful visit!

Benaco Hotel was the best 3* hotel we ever stayed. We wanted to extend but it was already full. The decoration of the common areas is just amazing, they’ve done a very good job. Also the rooms are beautiful, with spacious bathroom and good amenities. Breakfast was of top quality, they buy good things and it’s obvious that they want to provide nice food with fresh & good ingredients. We loved the coffee, the pancake making machine and the croissants.

Everything was great really! It deserves more stars! Good job!

Great bits would be - handy for the train station, helpful and friendly staff, calm and clean pool area you could use until late, snacks delivered poolside, comfy lounge area, good breakfast options, AMAZING air con, large balcony, a cute ginger kitty (though don't pester too much or you will get a swipe haha!), small gym area, lovely cleaning team who kept leaving my greedy daughter chocolates haha. Free use of a safe, plus hairdryer, lots of storage space, shower gel and such. As far as the area there are a few nearby stores (gelato/cafe/wine/fruit and veg) and then more stores and restaurants as you head down to Desenzano town. Absolutely gorgeous town and a handy hub for getting places (we visited Sirmione via ferry, hired a boat and then visited Verona from this hotel, after that we travelled by rail to Milano and Bergamo to our next destinations.)

I would suggest for anyone older or with health issues to perhaps stay closer to the town. We got a little tired at times walking a lot in the heat. Worth noting you are on a busy road, however this didn't bother us. As far as the hotel itself and it's staff I could not say a bad word :)
