Everything. First of all, it is situated very close to the vaporetto and bus node in Lido di Venezia, Lido SME, so you can get anywhere in Venice (Biennale, train/bus station, F'te Nova, Burano directly). Secondly the apartment is spacious and comfy, we slept great (the area is also very quiet). Last, but not least, Stefano was an amazing host, answering patiently our billion questions about ideas for where do go or boat schedule details. The breakfast he arranges is also top notch. I already miss the apartment and cannot wait to come back!

We loved the location on Lido, which is about 30 minutes from Venice, but I wonderful residential area with a short walk to the beach. We also thought that our host, Stefano, was exceptional in terms of his help.

The room we stayed in was nice overall, but there was a step between the main room and the bathroom that caused us problems during the night when we were groggy. We also needed three or four different keys to get from the street to our room, but these are minor details. Overall, the day was great.

Quiet and fragrant surrounding, proximity to the ferry, free beach and a wonderful Trattoria. It is in a residential part of Lido which makes for a special Venice experience. Of note, Stefano gave perfect instructions , and welcomed us warmly. We had the best restaurant recommendations and breakfast was stunning. The bed was comfortable and bathroom facilities were new, clean and practical.

Bring your own toiletries if you’re particular. Otherwise, nothing really.

This is the perfect place to stay - lovely big room (we had the Blue room), very effective air con, delightful breakfast (we mainly had fresh fruit, yoghurts, meats, cheeses and eggs) and Stefano could not have been more friendly and welcoming. He even provides beach towels and a beach umbrella. And a rain umbrella too, for that matter. It’s very quiet and in a great location for shops, pharmacies and the main road. The nearest restaurant, just called La Taverna, is good and only a minute away. Stefano was kind enough to let us check out late so that we could use the room after heading to the beach one last time the morning we left, which we really appreciated. We would go back again like a shot, and can 100% recommend.

It is really well situated near to the vaporetto stop to get easily to San Marco and the centre of Venice but also a few minutes walk to the beach and local restaurants and bars. Stefano the host is friendly and helpful without being intrusive, can give recommendations for where to eat on Lido if asked, and on our last day as our flight wasn’t until later he provided a safe location for our belongings and facilities to shower so we could enjoy the day, advised on times to catch the Allilaguna to the airport and even provided beach towels. The rooms are traditional in decoration and are spotlessly clean with good aircon. There were small fridges in the rooms with some water included.

Nothing

The location was very charming and welcoming. We really felt at home during our stay. Lido island was quiet and safe, a perfect escape from the crowds in Venezia. Stefano was an incredible host, giving great recommendations for nearby restaurants and preparing a wonderful breakfast with great selection every morning. Stefano went above and beyond my expectations and the amazing experience wouldn’t have been possible without him.

There’s not much to say about what we didn’t like about Casa delle Rose. The only thing I can think of is that the hot water ran out very quickly in the mornings when other guests were also using the shower.

We did appreciate the kindness of Stefano, his warm welcome and all his valuable information. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. The room was lovely and quiet and the location was close to the vaporetto stop (6-7 minutes walking) : the vaporetto takes you to Piazza San Marco in about 15 minutes. You are very close to Venezia center without the constraints of the crowd.

Our flight home had been cancelled and so we had to find somewhere to stay very quickly. Our host was amazing, very kind and accommodating and also informative recommending places to eat and where we could get our new boarding passes printed. He was very approachable, not everyone is like that so we very much appreciated that. The house itself was beautiful, very Venetian and not what we were expecting as a normal 'B&B'. The location was perfect, close to the Lido vaporetto stop with a 10 minute ride back to the Venice canals, the beach and all the restaurants. Towels and umberellas were available for the free beach, which was a first for us, the towels not the beach and the breakfast was amazing too. Overall a really great place in the Lido!

There was nothing we didnt like!

This is a wonderful B &B run by Stephano, a delightful guy who is kind and very helpful. The house is over 100 years old and full of character. The room had everything that we needed and we were very comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast with a good variety of choices. The area is great with a beautiful high street with bars, cafes and restaurants and the water bus within easy walking distance. We had a water bus pass for our stay and Venice is an easy, quick and fun ride away from the Lido. We made good use of the waterbus hopping on and off in Venice . Stephano gave us all the information we needed. We appreciated the calm of the Lido as a place to stay after the busyness of Venice.

Leaving

The owner, Stefano, was very welcoming and friendly. He went above and beyond his duties to help and give us information. The room was very nice and in a quiet area. The building of the B&b is a beautiful liberty building. We are grateful to Stefano for the warm reception and friendliness. I would recommend this b&b to anyone wanting to stay in Venice. Lido is a much quieter area compared to central Venice and the b&b is very good value for money. Thanks for your hospitality.
