Location was amazing, you can escape from the bustling centre of Lido yet still get there easily. Beaches are also not far from the hotel. All in all, you feel at home. Staff in general was pleasant, receptionists are great and engaging. Special thanks to Mirjana and Julian for making our stay exceptional. Breakfast also has everything you need to get your day started properly - fresh produce with a lot of nutritional substitutes. Hotel Villa Mabapa exceeded all of our expectations for the price we got. Me and my wife can see why it has been open since the year 1927.

Breakfast was full of lots of choices, fresh fruit, yogurts, meats, cheeses, croissants, eggs, cakes. All was lovely. The new swimming pool is lovely and set in a gorgeous garden with sun loungers and chairs. The staff were all very helpful and polite and gave us lots of advice for travelling to Venice and other islands. The location of the hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the main area (Santa Maria Elisabetta)which was not an issue for our selves and we enjoyed the walk.

The swimming pool was quite cold and doesn’t get much full sun.

Didn’t like that booking .com advertised the hotel with private beach and at the time of booking had pictures up portraying a beach to the front of the hotel with sun loungers. The beach was about a mile away and it wasn’t private to the hotel. The hotel purchase so many sun-loungers for customers to purchase at a fee higher than what the beach charge. Wouldn’t have booked if known that the beach wasn’t next to the hotel Also area on the way to the beach is a bit derelict with lots of empty run down buildings. Also we were in the annexe of the hotel and whilst rooms were clean and spacious it was a little dated

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Villa Mabapa in Lido, Venice, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff was incredibly hospitable and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. A special mention to the manager, Michael, who truly made our trip special. He took care of everything we needed with a warm and welcoming attitude. The hotel itself is charming, offering a perfect blend of classic Venetian style and modern comfort. The beach was just a short walk away, and it was absolutely amazing—clean, serene, and perfect for relaxation. Overall, Hotel Villa Mabapa exceeded our expectations in every way. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious stay in Lido, Venice. We can’t wait to return!

Fantastic location and a real bonus to have private pontoon for water taxi. Beautiful view of Venice from across the water. Room was very spacious with plenty of storage. Breakfast had a great selection of cold buffet style choices. Outdoor seating in the front garden was lovely and we especially liked the outdoor bar which had a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Free use of bikes was appreciated and we enjoyed being able to cycle round the island. Having access to beach parasols and complimentary beach towels was also very helpful. The free water taxi to Murano and glass factory tour is a Must Do for everyone. Staff were helpful, knowledgable and always available. This was our second stay and we'd have no hesitation in recommending this hotel or staying again in future. It offers amazing value for money.

A little disappointing to be on the top floor with only sky lights and therefore no window view but we spent very little time in the room anyway. We did only ever have 2 bath towels and we were 3 guests. We did ask for an extra towel but this never happened. The breakfast room was very busy at certain times, especially when tour groups were together, and we didn't like that they had tables reserved for them.

Wow… this hotel just keeps getting better and better. We stayed here last year and returned this year for four night. Two adults and two children. We had room 401 and 402 on the ground floor opposite the pool. The rooms were beautifully decorated and wonderful comfy beds. Breakfast delicious, fresh fruit, eggs, bakery goods and I am gluten free and there was options for me. The pool is new and lovely although a little cold. We will return next year it’s a wonderful hotel.

The villa has fantastic period furniture, design, decor and atmosphere. Like stepping back into early 20th century glamour. A beautiful library for guests to borrow books, a calm courtyard with views of the lagoon. Good sized air conditioned room and friendly staff. Free bikes to use were brilliant way to get around the island. Great location near beaches and boat stops.

The breakfast was nice but coffee from a machine was a bit weak. The bed was 2 single beds connected so means someone falls in the gap! But these are tiny details. It was a beautiful stay, I would highly recommend and would come again.

We didn’t realize during booking that reaching the hotel from Venice required a ferry, and we were charged €38 in total. We even left our car in the parking, thinking it was a one-way fare, but later found out that a 24-hour ticket for €25 per person was available. It would have been helpful if this information was made clearer in advance

The buildings and decor are beautiful! Bonus swimming pool and table tennis. Apples and water filling station are a nice touch. Chic bar and restaurant out front looking on to the water. We really liked the hotel!

The walk to the boat stop felt quite long in the heat but perhaps we should have borrowed the bicycles the hotel offer. The breakfast would have benefitted from more vegetables and the layout made breakfast quite congested at times.

We arrived cold and soaked from the 10 minute walk in the rain from the boat dock several hours (0830) before check-in at 2pm, hoping to simply leave our luggage while we waited for our room. The front desk clerk greeted us warmly, took our bags to a storage closet, pointed out the toilet to freshen up, informed us of a free taxi boat to Murano for a complimentary glass blowing demonstration at 0945 and invited us to have breakfast Within 10 minutes of arriving, he informed us that our room would be ready in 20 minutes. Our room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. When we checked out the next morning, my husband suggested we might return for our 10th anniversary. He'll get no objection from me!
