the staff is very friendly helpful and the rooms are newly renovated and very clean. The bed was very nice and comfortable and the blinds, air conditioning all this worked well and was nice and new. From the perspective of convenience the location is perfect.

The bathroom of the room left a lot to be desired, the Toilet was strange with an antiquated pump mechanism to flush and the shower was not well designed, and most importantly hot water was not always there. The breakfast that comes with the room price with "breakfast included" was continental, but very nice for a continental breakfast, maybe it indicated that is what breakfast is, I dont recall that so as long as a continential breakfast is what you are expecting that is ok. There seems to be a dance club or some sort of party room across the alleyway in direction of the railway station that is very noisy when there is an event there.

We only booked this hotel as a stopover on the way back from cinque terre, we wanted to be near the station to get to our flight home and not worry about pulling luggage through Pisa. It was a lovely family run hotel, 15min walk from the center and right next to the station. Our room was huge with 2 balconies, great air con and a comfy bed. The bathroom was dated and small but it was only one night so we weren't bothered. There was a fridge with water and a safe. We had a fab sleep and they let us leave our luggage while we explored pisa again in the morning. Overall was a great little hotel

There was only 2 small sachets of shower gel and no hand soap in the bathroom, I don't remember coffee making facilities. Also no lift but the young lad on reception offered to carry our luggage up to the room

Lovely hotel, very close to the station and a short walk into Pisa main shopping areas, and about 20 mins walk from the Tower and Cathedral. All the staff were very extremely friendly and helpful; in fact we liked Hotel Maria so much we cancelled another hotel so we could stay there again at the end of our trip. Both of our rooms were both spotlessly clean with good quality linen and towels, and toiletries for the bathroom. Good wifi and Tv with Sky and International movies. Air conditioning was as cold as you wanted it to be, and remote shutters for the balconies were good. Breakfast was served with a smile and a nice side garden to take it out to. We were able to leave our bags as we were early on our first day, and the staff took them up to our room which was a nice touch. We will definitely stay there again.

As Hotel Maria is close to the station there naturally is some traffic noise from the narrow streets but no noise from trains as someone said in another comment.,The refuse wagon arrives around 7am with some beeping and wagon noise but this is normal for the location, so not a huge minus point. There is no lift but this again wasn't a drawback for us, as it's a nice wide staircase to the upstairs rooms.

I chose this hotel basing on positive opinions, and was not disappointed. On the contrary, I felt very well there. The hotel is small, seems to be run by a family, and even if not, the atmosphere is like in a house of a large family. I was pleasantly surprised by the room - including minifridge and safebox - items that were not available in the next hotel I stayed in Rome, which was 4 star. There is a small garden in which one can enjoy planted herbes and citrus trees. Having breakfast there was really nice. The staff is very kind and helpful. The hotel is right next to the Pisa Centrale train station which is convenient if you travel by train. If you want to walk the city centre, it might take around 20 minutes. But if you would like to go to the seasinde in Marina di Pisa, bus stop of the bus no. 10 is also nearby.

I have been advised by my Italian friend not to walk on my own at night and not to carry a bag, as the surroudings of the train station are not safe in Pisa. As the days in June are long, I returned to the hotel before the sunset, so experienced no issues with safety.

The hotel is well situated. 2 minutes walk from the station where there also the Pisamover to take you to and from the airport; 10 mins walk to Pisa centre by the river and 25 mins walk to the leaning tower. We weren't expecting breakfast but they offered juice, coffee and a croissant from their small cafe, which was very nice. All the staff, I think it was a family business, were very friendly and helpful during our stay.

Not a hotel specific issue, but the mosquitos were a pain.

Excellent staff, Francesco was excellent, was always offering more with solutions and advice. So convenient for station and town. Many restaurants and snack bars around the corner. Rooms had all that was required, without being fancy. Cleaned daily and beds made.

The toilet flush in room no 219, had a flushing problem. The cistern had to be pumped by hand many times before it could be flushed. Hope it is fixed before its occupied again. We were informed that it's an old cistern. Breakfast was not included in the price we paid

The location couldn't be any close to the train station, so it is super handy if you need to move via train as we did. The hotel is in a quiet street so we did not experience any noise.

Some parts of the hotel could use a bit of a remodel but everything was in working order and no issues despite looking a bit dated. Some rooms have a coffee machine while some don't. Our first stay here we had one but we didn't on the second stay, would be nice to keep it consistent.

Lovely warm welcome by Reception when checking in, everything was explained. The room was lovely and accurate with the photos and description. The location is right near the train station, airport, and a 20 minute walk to the main attractions. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Only minor complaints, the airconditioner needs to be cleaned/serviced, it was not working very well and you can visibly see the dust. You must enter a pin number into a panel near your door to gain access, this makes a harsh beeping sound, and if guests are returning late in the night you can hear this sound as well.

Easy and fast check-in, great location a few metres from the train station, very friendly staff and good value for money.

The room I stayed in was affected a bit by external noise. From ~7am-9am it seemed like I was being occasionally awoke by the sound of chairs being dragged on a floor either above me, or adjacent. Similarly the ground floor rooms are a little loud from street traffic in the morning.

The location of the hotel was perfect. it was right next to the train station. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and speak good English. Our room had two balconies and was a spacious room. It was hygienic, every day neatly tidied and cleaned.

Only downside was the bed. For a short stay of max 3 days it might be doable. But for longer stays it is not a comfortable bed.
