Excellent staff, Francesco was excellent, was always offering more with solutions and advice. So convenient for station and town. Many restaurants and snack bars around the corner. Rooms had all that was required, without being fancy. Cleaned daily and beds made.

The toilet flush in room no 219, had a flushing problem. The cistern had to be pumped by hand many times before it could be flushed. Hope it is fixed before its occupied again. We were informed that it's an old cistern. Breakfast was not included in the price we paid

Lovely warm welcome by Reception when checking in, everything was explained. The room was lovely and accurate with the photos and description. The location is right near the train station, airport, and a 20 minute walk to the main attractions. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Only minor complaints, the airconditioner needs to be cleaned/serviced, it was not working very well and you can visibly see the dust. You must enter a pin number into a panel near your door to gain access, this makes a harsh beeping sound, and if guests are returning late in the night you can hear this sound as well.

Very conveniently located a short walk (100metres) from Pisa Centrale train station. Friendly staff who would always greet you on entry and exit. The room and especially the bathroom was spacious and clean and came equipped with air-conditioning. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels given. There was conveniently a fridge within the room and cold sparkling water and water available in the lobby. There is little not to like about this hotel, especially at the price.

There was some noise audible in the mornings from the lobby/ other rooms, however not enough to be a disturbance. There was also a hole in one of the towels provided which may need replacing.

Wonderful hosts in a family establishment that spans several generations. So friendly and helpful during my short stay. Literally a stones throw from the central station and a pleasant stroll through the town to all the main attractions of Pisa. Very comfortable room, totally perfect as a base for a short stay. Lovely to be able to get coffee and a pastry for breakfast and eat in the common terrace area. Very secure and safe for solo travellers, I felt completely at ease during my stay.

The hotel maria is in an excellent location, between the bus station/terminus & train station although the hotel itself sits on a quiet side street. It is also close to various shops & cafes & a short walk from the supermarket. The hotel interior itself reminded me of something much more upmarket, with wide marble staircases, mirrors & glass bannisters. Check in was quick & easy & i was accompanied to my room & shown how to operate the lock. The room itself seemed larger than most with space to move around the double bed. There is also a desk with under counter fridge & a wardrobe with hangers. There is a lovely wide window although the wooden shutter means it's never too bright. There is also a small side patio adjacent to the hotel with some seating. All of the staff members i encountered on my visit seemed helpful & polite. They also spoke good english, which made things a little easier for me. Having stayed in my fair share of crap hotels, this was a pleasant step up. I've always said that good accomodation can increase your in holiday enjoyment. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for anything in the area.

Due to improvement works, the optional breakfast was unavailable Housekeeping missed a day (I didnt really care) The lights in the room didn't seem as bright as they perhaps should be The room key card system was out of use during my stay (not really a complaint, more of an observation)

Shutters on windows were a big plus in summer as they helped keep our room cool and dark for sleeping. Great location for transport links and friendly staff

No lift - not very accessible. No information about how to switch on or control AC (managed by reception not in the room yourselves). Bathroom was very small and dated

Highly recommend this hotel. The staff are the sweetest ever and went above and beyond to assist us in everything we required. Apart from the hotel room, we had also booked a parking spot with the hotel in a nearby garage at the price of €25 per day which was extremely worth it since it saved us the hassle of parking. The hotel also has a bar at the entrance were we had a coffee and a croissant every morning at very reasonable prices. Room was clean and comfortable. No noise could be heard from outside so we slept very well. Bathroom is basic but very clean and had everything necessary. Towels were replaced daily and were very clean. The lovely lady at the reception even called us a taxi when we needed to go to the airport. They also provide a service to hold your luggage even if you are not staying at their hotel at a charge. Location was very central, within walking distance to Pisa centre where there are all the shops, restaurants and the Campo dei Miracoli. Also very very close to the train station. Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Maria, you made our stay comfortable and carefree.

Maybe a few more hangers for the clothes would have been ideal but honestly nothing else, it was perfect.

Hotel Maria is very well situated for Pisa railway station with fast, frequent monorail link to the airport. There a range of restaurants within 5 minutes walk, but also only 10-15 mins walk from main centre of Pisa, and 30-40 mins walk to Leaning Tower. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was good size, though en-suite bathroom was quite small. Very clean. Facilities in room were good - TV, small fridge, safe, reasonable storage. Bed was comfy.

Air-con was not on and appeared to be centrally controlled - no controller in the room. Were not able to ask staff about this as did not realise until we returned late in day and reception was closed. There was a heatwave whilst we were there so had a very sticky night.

Reading the reviews I felt a bit nervous about staying there but the hotel actually exceeded my expectations. Everything I needed was there and the room was very comfortable. I think the facilities must have been updated because you definitely can operate the A/C from your room with a remote. Might be a bit noisy as the hotel is very close to the train station but at night it was perfectly quiet. And excellent location for the train station and the airport, especially when you can get a shuttle train from the station to the airport! And Maria and others were very helpful. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you!

Could be a slightly better choice of food for breakfast.

Really easy check in with a code as our flight arrived late at night. Super clean and very comfortable bed and great location to explore the city! Christian couldn't do enough for us in terms of complementary coffee, showing us where to go, holding our bags, and ordering a taxi. Thank you we will be back.

The bathroom is on the slim side but not really an issue as super clean!
