The hotel is an absolute gem in a quiet residential area of Rome. The rooms are just as described and pictured. The front desk, bellhop and kitchen staff were all incredibly helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic with meat/cheese options, pastries, hard boiled eggs, various breads, water, coffee, soda - all fantastic. Could sit in the dining area or back patio (beautiful setting). On days we left before breakfast, they even prepared a to-go bag for us! Special thanks to Justin who helped us daily with his kind words, willingness to help, and making sure we are comfortable. Front desk called taxis for us and were usually only a 3min wait to get one. They even arranged and ensured we had taxi for going back to airport. My wife and I absolutely loved our stay and would not hesitate to stay again.

My only “negative” comment is that the tub is very high, so stepping over after a shower can be challenging for some - not sure if other rooms have walk in showers. Ours was tub/shower combination

Located in a very nice, quiet, mainly residential neighborhood. Easy walk to adjacent vibrant neighborhoods with restaurants and other attractions. Lovely villa-style building with antique furnishings. Traditionally-furnished room, with nice modern touches such as very effective air conditioning.

We really liked this hotel, so it's difficult to think of anything seriously deficient. If the room had been slightly larger, that would have been nice, and perhaps some more variety in the breakfast offerings with some hot items would have made it even better. But neither of these were absolute must haves, and didn't detract from the overall experience.

Massimo is the best! He is from the hotel and recommended us so nice things, such as a traditional restaurant, where we have eaten the best pasta ever. All in all, the stay was great!

This was all-round a lovely place to call 'home from home' for a week while attending a conference. The hotel and the neighbourhood were super-peaceful (super-important to me). I was not once disturbed at night by other guests or traffic. The neighbourhood is a lovely one, and although not absolutely downtown, it is still historic and an easy 20-30 minute walk to the most famous attractions. There are also some lovely local dining options down the hill. Breakfast was simple but a good selection of high-quality things, and with good coffee. Our room was quite small, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. All the staff were always kind and friendly.

Nothing significant to write here. Maybe a little more space to store our clothes - we had to do a bit of 'living out of suitcase', but really - not a big problem!

Fantastic hotel. A dream. Charming, personal, family run, rooms and house with history and details in the interior. I have traveled a lot and this I would say is one of the nicest hotels ever in a bigger city! High sense for service: Very nice and extremely helpful staff. To wake up with birds singing and a lovely little garden in a quiet nice area in Rome. Two minutes to sights and stunning views over Rome and close to walk into the centre. WE WILL BE BACK! The breakfast was also very good.

We stayed in Hotel Villa San Pio (part of the Aventino Hotels group). This property is located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The bus station is a short walk which is very convenient. You can also walk to the Colosseum which we did a couple of times. The breakfast room is charmingly nostalgic and situated in the garden. I look forward to breakfast every morning because of the ambience and the food selection was great! The room that we had was small but very nice and clean. We are just a few steps away from the breakfast rooms so we loved it. The staff in the reception desk, the bartender and servers were all super helpful. This is our first time in Rome and we certainly asked many questions but they have been most patient, very accommodating and pleasant with us. We really enjoyed our stay here and we highly recommend this place when visiting Rome. Thank you to the wonderful staff!

Location close to things we wanted to see, being within walls of "original Rome", able to walk to colusseum. We liked being in small "boutique hotel" in nice neighborhood rather than large hotel in city. The staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast included was excellent. We will return.

Only downside was the bed was too firm for us, but that is only our personal preference. The fact that bed was clean, nice linens, and very clean room and bathroom still made it great for us.

Nice breakfast included croissants, hard boiled eggs, cakes, fruit cups, scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage. Juice, tea and coffee were available. Location was very quite and a much needed break after visiting Naples. It is a walk from either metro station, so taxi is more convenient. Location is very close to the Giardino degli Aranci (orange garden) - great views and a nice place to relax.

Beds are very firm with coil spring mattresses - not very comfortable. Shower is slick, but we brought a shower mat.

The hotel I stayed in was located in an affluent neighborhood. The surroundings were very quiet and beautiful, and the transportation was extremely convenient. The only downside was having to climb a small hill every time I returned to the hotel. Overall, the environment was great and very safe.

The sound insulation of the hotel is just average. Maybe it’s because the building is too old. I could hear the sound of people taking showers in the next room when I was sleeping at night. But it’s not a big issue.

Nice boutique hotel tucked away in Aventino, perhaps the most peaceful area in Rome. Staff very friendly, and I was given the top room which may or may not be what people look for, but I really liked it. Access through the terrace and an amazing view over the trees. Of course it's also a few minutes walk from a cluster of churches and basiliche (s. Anselmo , s. Alessio...) but also Testaccio for food and night life, and public transport options in via Marmorata

No complaints at all!
