Great location, very clean, comfortable and safe. Espresso machine in the common area. Nice patio to sit outside.

Finding the guest entrance was a real pain, I spoke to three other guests that said the same. Instructions need to be clear, it's no fun arriving tired and not being able to figure out where to enter. There is a locked gate on the side street around the corner from the address for the hotel. There is no buzzer for the front "office" and a code is needed to open the gate. Fix this and everything will be perfect! A minor thing- all the fancy window dressings with matching bed decor and plants in the web photos are misleading and (at least for my room) did not exist. Not a big deal but the professional photos make the rooms look fancier and softer than they actually are which always annoys me.

The location was perfect. You could walk to the historic centre in about 30 minutes but it was too hot to walk during our stay (summer). However, there are a ton of buses and trams that run by the property that can get you to most of the historic attractions in about 20 minutes. The property is very close to the metro line, too (about a 7 minute walk). The staff were PHENOMENAL! 10/10! They were very friendly and accommodating. They have a coffee machine (espresso, cappuccino, hot chocolate, etc) and a water machine that gives both flat and sparkling water. As a female and child traveller, the building and neighborhood felt safe. The neighborhood also had lots of amazing cafes and restaurants. The AC in the room was perfect for the intense Roman heat!

The beds and pillows were too hard for my liking but I know this is only a preference and not a mark against the accommodation. Our shower drain was clogged and the shower would fill with water every time we showered. We were only there a couple of nights so I didn’t bother the owner about it because it wasn’t a big deal. I am confident if I told him about it he would have remedied it immediately. The shower doesn’t have a full door so the floor often got wet while we showered. I know this is common in Europe but as a Canadian, I wanted to make other non-Europeans aware of this when considering to book.

The Guest House is in a great location, near bus stops, supermarket, bars and restaurants. Also in a good position for walking around most of Rome city centre, and just across the river from Trastevere. The area of Testaccio is also worth exploring and there is a great indoor food market there. There is a coffee machine and packet pastries provided for having breakfast in the shared kitchen and terrace. There is a fridge in each room so you can buy other items, eg yogurt, ham, cheese, from the supermarket around the corner. There is also a great Italian take-away across the road - Ghiotto - if you want to eat in. And the take-away food from Altro in Testaccio market is also excellent.

The walls are very thin so if you had noisy, inconsiderate guests in the room next door you didn’t get much sleep. Likewise if your other guests were quiet there was no problem. There should perhaps be a notice displayed in each room, as in many b&bs in the UK, that 11pm - 7am is a quiet time.

Short but sweet stay, lovely room, comfy bed and good sleep. Alessadro the owner and his Filipino staff I forgot to ask his name were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you for your hospitality & kindness! And we loved the convenient location close to attractions, restaurants, and transportation options. We are definitely gonna go back to this guest house again when we go to Rome.

The sink is clogged, the internet is not stable inside the room. And please if you can, provide an adaptor cause your plug/socket is not the same plug/socket to your guests. Atleast have 2 complimentary sealed bottled water with glass. And hope next time there will be a room slippers. For the toiletries, please include small tootpaste as well.

The location of the hotel is great. It is on a quiet, non-touristy street, but a 5-minute walk from the metro and a 15-minute walk from the Colosseum. There are many great restaurants nearby and a supermarket. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. The rooms are cleaned every day. The room has everything you need including air conditioning, a mini fridge, and a coffee machine. I highly recommend it.

The only thing that caused us inconvenience was the length of the bed. But this is the case for almost all hotels since I am 1.75 and my boyfriend is 1.95)) The rest was great

What a fantastic location, close to the metro, great restaurants within walking distance, a small supermarket and some fantastic sites and few tourists. Once you have your bearings it very easy to get around the city of Rome and Aventino is a great place to stay. The room was small but had everything you need for a few nights stay, bed was comfortable, it was clean and having a window that opened out to a garden was nice. Alessandro was welcoming and there if we needed.

It is not the properties fault but guests need to be told to use their inside voice and that door handles are used for closing doors quietly not for banging doors closed.

The location is perfect for visiting Rome and all the sites and is just off the main road to the Colosseum so quiet. 10 min walk to the Colosseum and Roman Forum, 15 min walk into Rome itself. 4 min walk to the Metro line if you need it to get across Rome on the underground, on a main bus route also. A good choice of local restaurants and places to drink on the doorstep of these apartments that are not near Rome centre so reasonably priced to eat and drink. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the apartments are all you need and could want. Free coffee machine for all the coffee options as and when you want it.

Everything was good there is nothing to dislike.

The room was nice and the bed very comfortable. In the apartment you will find a coffee machine, coffee capsules, milk and sweets. The location is great, 10-minute walk to the Colosseum, 30-minute walk to the center. Very well connected by public transport, you can buy a bus ticket everywhere at newsagents for €1.50 and is valid for 1 hour and 30 minutes. The area where the apartment is located was very quiet and you feel safe. The housekeeper cleaned the room every day.

Towels and bed linen were not changed during the 3 nights of our stay. It would be nice if the hair dryer was a little stronger. We also sometimes needed some information and couldn't find anyone to ask.

The Aventino Guest House was s lovely accommodation in a great location in Rome. There were plenty of charming restaurants nearby, not to mention the Colosseum and forum. The guest house itself was well stocked with facilities - very modern en-suite bathrooms with air conditioning built into the rooms. There was a breakfast area kitchenette complete with a coffee machine, and having a coffee out on the balcony was a great start to any day. The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained! can’t recommend it enough.

Nice room with air conditioning the staff is really friendly and when we check in, he basically showed us everything that we need. Enjoyed espresso just in the room with a decent coffee machina, Nice room service and nice location ,only 12 mins walk to Colosseo and Only 20 minutes from the train station. Overall clean and pleasant.

The hairdryer is a bit old and gets really hot after a while.
