Location location location! An easy walk to Spanish steps and Trevi fountain, and to a main shopping street, and so much more. The hotel street itself is a gem, picturesque with the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the city, very attractive inside, good service and a creative menu. The hotel is absolutely fine and reasonable considering the location, 24 hour concierge, free tea and coffee and a hearty breakfast if desired. I would go there again.

Alas there was hotel painting and construction! But that’s life.

Fantastic location, close to several piazzas, shops, restaurants, 10-20 minute walk to most attractions and located just off the main road on a pretty cobbled street. Very safe and secure building and location. Small elevator is convenient. We had a newly renovated room located in the corridor right behind the reception area, and conveniently right across from the Breakfast room. Large variety of breakfast items included in the price. The staff were exceptional - so friendly and willing to help to accommodate. Nice plush bathrobes, slippers and toiletries were provided. We received a nice bottle of wine in our room upon check in which was a nice gift.

Not a single negative comment on this location. It truly was a great place to stay. I would stay again.

My sister and I loved our stay at the Hotel Forte. It's in an excellent location, within walking distance of the tourist attractions, and it's also super close to Spanish steps and also the metro station if you don't want to walk to the tourist sites. Good size room for two people, without noise, bed and shower was wonderful. Good breakfast. Marcus at the reception was very kind and helped us with all the information we needed. Congratulations to the entire hotel staff very nice and friendly. We definitely we want to return and stay in the same hotel. Everything was perfect 🙌

We were 3 people and given a room with two floors. It would be better to know this beforehand. There wasn’t enough sunlight in the room but maybe other rooms are different.

Friendly staff, made us feel comfortable and helped us on the taxi to the airport also before I even ask! Great experience

Nothing against them in particular, but the sewage smell that comes from the bathroom is pretty bad! It’s a city sewage problem I believe and it comes up the shower drainage! For a newly renovated room (very nice and modern!) it’s a shame! But the sewage problem on the whole city is a problem at some periods of the day and specially night!

We had a great stay here. The location was AWESOME. The street it was on (Via Margutta) is very pretty with the cobbled stones, potted plants and ivy on the walls. It was within a short walking distance from the Spanish steps, Piazza del Popolo, all the designer stores, and many restaurants. The hotel is very old, but very well maintained. Our room was very clean and well appointed. The bathroom was very clean too. Then there was this really quaint elevator, that actually worked :). Most important- the staff were AMAZING. They were all very friendly and helpful (Marco and Mauro). Sylvia cooked dairy free eggs specially for my son both days. They even helped book a cab for us to the Roma Termini. It's a different matter that the AWFUL cabbie left the three of us at the station in POURING rain that soaked us to the skin in the first minute as we ran with our suitcases into the station.

The room, although adequate, was quite small. Also, the bathroom could use an exhaust fan.

I loved the very antique roman style of the hotel and the rooms. It was very unique, however do not expect anything modern at all. Some rooms were too small and no windows to open, or even if with windows, it was too dark in morning, no sunlight could enter inside. You can easily hear if any noise outside the room… however during our stay seemed the guests were very quiet. We heard noises time to time of people who walk or talk next to our room door.

Small rooms, no window. Although the service was great, and the receptionist helped us to get a bigger room later on.

Very clean and organised, renovated rooms, wonderful staff (my family felt very welcomed and taken care of by the hotel forte team, thank you so much!) overall incredible experience! It is also within walking distance of all major spots, in the heart of the city (very cute street as well). We’ll definitely be coming back!

location in the arty and fashion district was superb for us - great coffee and eateries nearby as well as clothing shops and outlets and proximity to spanish steps and Trevi Fountain too yet bale to escape these very touristy areas. Really liked that Roman citizens seemed to be working and living alongside us.

It was great - I guess a room with a view may have been even better but it really didn't bother us for two days as the room was so well appointed and clean.

Great location for everything in Rome:’next to metro and great area to eat/ explore. Hotel charming, in quiet street, very secure and room was very comfortable with good aircon and excellent sound proofing. All staff were exceptionally helpful and room servicing was done to very high level each day. Breakfast was great. Would stay again and highly recommend to others .
