Location! Location! Location! One step away is colosseum, all must visit places within walking distance. There are many bara and restaurants surrounding the hotel. Even though the hotel is surrounded by all these restaurants was very peaceful at night. Amazing staff, they love children gave our daughter some candy 🥹. We had a room on 2nd floor. Room was very clean, great mattress and amazing pillows. The shower had built in radio and we were able to listen to Italian local music when taking shower 😂. The most important for us was A/C and it was working great. All I can say great value for money and location is unbeatable. Way to go! Thank you

The location is absolutely amazing, same street with Colloseum and when you step out of the hotel you see it. The street had great restaurants, a gelato place, a 24h open Carrefour market, tram, and taxis. Also the room was spacious, there was a functioning safe, a comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Its a minimalist room but thats all we asked for anyway. Staff was very helpful, although we forgot to give the roomkey back and returned for it hours later, they could welcome us with a smile and laugh and they were always kind.

Right across the street from the Colosseum and near all of the Ancient Roman sites. Near metro and bus stops, lots of restaurants in the area. The hotel staff were nice.

The internet is so slow that it is practically useless. It speed tests at 30Mb down and 10 Mb up, but it will not load webpages. You must leave your key at the desk when you leave the hotel. We did not stay out late, but I don’t think the desk is open 24 hours. If you plan to stay out late, check the hours of the desk. There is a Royal Hotel a couple doors down that is unrelated. The sign outside says Imperial Rooms, inside it says Royal Rooms. The steps are VERY old and uneven in height and are slanted toward one wall. Beware climbing and descending. The final flight down almost tripped me every time.

Our stay was great. The location was perfect. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, you have everything that you need near by you. Our view from the window was satisfied. The only thing that we can notice as something negative is the noise by night because the street is busy and there are some restaurants under the rooms.

Spacious room, good facilities, colosseum right out the doorstep. Great array of restaurants right at the doorstep including gelato.

There was very loud live music going into the early hours of the morning for several nights of my stay, but that was definitely not the property’s fault.

Location, beside colosseum - amazing!. Room was small but comfortable Windows would open, but view was of air conditioners and back of buildings- noisy/ugly

The bottom line is this is a wonderful hotel! The staff is very pleasant and professional. Large room with a balcony. Once I was checked in I was shown to my room and the host very kindly showed me how to enter and exit my room safely and securely. The room was very clean and well kept. Magnificent location directly across the street from the Colosseum and within a very short walking distance to Pizza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Roman Fourm, etc., also wonderful restaurants, 20 minute walk to Termini train station and tons of shopping, etc. I reserved before I had an opportunity to read the reviews and I must say I was contemplating cancelling once I read through the most recent reviews. I ended up sticking with my gut and keeping my reservation and thankfully I did! I was pleasantly surprised upon check in! My room overlooked the colosseum, the room was large with a balcony overlooking the colosseum… it was perfect! In my opinion the reviews by past guests are all very silly. When you visit another country it is customary that you adapt to the culture. Respect the locals and the way they conduct business. You are a guest in a foreign country. Some of these demands and complaints I am reading from past guests are quite ridiculous and over the top. The rules are in place for a reason, if you don’t like the rules or refuse to follow them then perhaps you should stay home. Thank you Royal Rome for such a pleasant stay.

Not a big deal at all… But we were only provided with one roll of toilet paper upon check in, didn’t realize until the middle of the night that we were almost out. Thankfully I had extra tissue in my bag to use until the morning. I’m sure if I asked the front desk for extra rolls they would have happily provided me with more.

This property could not closer to the Colosseum…amazing! Easy walk roll other attractions and close to restaurants, metro and train.

Had some confusion at check in and ended up paying twice. Issue was resolved within the week. Well done.

Staff is exceptional, Location is amazing! (right across the Colosseo) and walking distance to a lot of attractions and good places to eat. Only downside is there are no elevators but I think that is mostly everywhere in the old buildings of the city. We were able to see the nightly fireworks as well!

The steps - but over all wasn’t too bad. At checkin the desk attendant went above and beyond to helped carry up. There was always someone available to hold keys and to retrieve keys when returning.
