This place is a gem, and the experience was like stepping into a storybook. Our room had a balcony with the most amazing view of the old city, and featured flowers and comfortable chairs. The room was clean, beautifully furnished, and very romantic. All amenities were thought of, including slippers, bathrobes, treats, coffee, tea, and a mini bar. Snacks, afternoon tea, and breakfast were served and included, and was fresh and delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and a complete delight. The location was in the midst of the city center, yet super quiet. One of the most amazing travel experiences ever, a dream!

It was perfection!

The entire staff was friendly, helpful and gave exceptional service across the board. Breakfast was outstanding with many options including omlets. Check-in and checkout was a breeze. The location could not have been more centrally located. We didn't have to walk far to the museums or Duomo and of course surrounded by restaurants and shopping.

I can honestly say there is not a single thing that dissapointed me. Our stay was exceptional across the board- service, location, staff, cleanliness, comfort.

Everything! The hotel has a beautifully-appointed historic charm, but with all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The view of the city from the patio/breakfast area is gorgeous! Gabriella, Maria Luisa and the rest of the staff were very friendly and hospitable, offering helpful hints and assistance with reservations for restaurants and other local services.

Truly, nothing! They even offered some nice features not mentioned in the website, such as a help-yourself honor system bar that is available and well-equipped to suit the tastes of all guests.

Discreet entrance to this small but perfectly formed hotel with exceptional views across to the back of the duomo (the view is at the back of the hotel. The front of the hotel overlooks a street at the top of which is the Basilica of San Domenico). We were very lucky and had a wonderful room with terrace (the only one in the hotel, I think). The breakfast was continental in style and also very good with fresh fruit and pastries as well as cereal, meat and cheese. There's an honesty bar and you can sit on the terrace at any time. The staff were extremely hospitable, helpful and friendly. You won't be woken up by noisy people but you will be by church bells and occasional drumming. It didn't bother us though. It's about a 8 min walk to either the duomo or Il Campo. Definitely recommended.

Kindness of the staff, specially Gabriela, was one of the freares we ever seen in our trip to Europe. She helped us with everything and made all efforts soe we could enjoy our stay. We stayed in the room with the terrace facing the catedral. To be honest, I sited for 15 minute straight almost crying my eyes out for what I was seeing. Get this room and you will get one of the best views of a lifetime. Good breakfast.

Is not really a problem but do not use google maps or the car GPS, because you may get lost inside the no traffic zone of the city. Use Waze and you shall be fine.

if there was a negative, which I don’t think there was to this hotel, it would be that it is in the very beginning part of the medieval village. The advantages to that were the spectacular views of the Duomo from a slight distance away. The walk through the town took only five minutes to arrive at the Bell Tower, so truly this was a great place for us to stay. If I had a hard time with mobility, I may have preferred to have been closer to the tower or the Duomo.

This was an amazing property with an amazing view. The staff was wonderful and very helpful and the breakfast in the morning was a wonderful start to the day. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to be right in the middle. It is in within walking distance of everything. Our family will definitely be going back.

There is not one thing I can say that I did not like about this property

Great location with an outstanding view of Siena from the breakfast terrance. Delicious breakfast with lots of options. Beautifully furnished and comfortable rooms with lovely antique pieces. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Close to everything you'll want to see. A lovely public area to sit and relax. It also has an elevator. I would definitely go back to Siena and stay here.

Everything was perfect here! I have no suggestions for improvement. Just keep providing this lovely place to stay while visiting Siena. I can't wait to go back.

Colomba our host was so charming. She is known all over town and helped us enjoy Positano all the more. We missed our shuttle to dinner one night and she drove us the 5 minutes which was 15 and walked us into the restaurant and spoke with the owner and we had a great table and a ride home after dinner.

it’s Positano which means steps! There are 170 steps to walk up to get to the property from the road. it makes you enjoy the view more and i will say works off the many pasta dishes you will eat on Positano.

This was our favorite hotel on our trip through Tuscany. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The views of the churches from our room were breathtaking. This 800 year old guest house with only six rooms exceeded our expectations. Gabriella was very helpful with helping us negotiate dropping off our luggage and parking the car at the stadium, which was a 3min walk. The living room and breakfast room were so romantic. The breakfast was wonderful with local foods and a happy hour in the evenings with wines to take out on the patio to listen to the church bells and swallows over head as the sun set. It was a magical stay.

Just be aware that if you a driving a car, you have to negotiate the limited traffic area. It wasn’t too much of a problem as Gabriella was very helpful communicating with us.
