The staff are fantastic. We were blown away by the level of service provide by the front desk staff, the breakfast staff and even the maintenance staff who had yo reset our room circuit breaker. The hotel is wonderful and the central location in Siena is unbeatable.

The breakfast buffet for a five star hotel lacked variety. No oats and the same boring grapes, melon and pineapple every morning. The only variation over three days was in the pastries. A little more variety and imagination in the buffet offering would have made it 10 out of 10. Breakfast staff were great though.

This is the only 5 stars hotel in the old city center! We truly love our stay, particularly greeted by helpful staff who guided us to drive to the hotel patiently and made prior registration of our car plate. We did not try the food there, but our room is beautiful. Located on the second floor, the room has a very high ceiling and well decorated. The staff are attentive and friendly.

It can be a bit noisy at night because it is next to the pedestrian path in the city centre. We heard people cheering. It is a happy problem though.

A loveley hotel in the heart of Siena. Actually the only 5 star hotel in the city. Part of Starhotels Chain. Housed in a magnificent 16th-century palazzo, it stands just steps away from notable landmarks such as Piazza del Campo and the Duomo. Staff extremly professional and customer oriented. Our room at second floor had also amazing views over the old center of the city. Hotel has elegant common spaces like breakfast and dinner saloons, lobbies, wine cellar and a beautiful Sala delle Feste (Hall of Festivities) at the first floor. This public elegant space is a showcase of the palazzo’s rich history, featuring original frescoes, intricate stucco work, and luxurious décor. Rooms very clean, fully equipped with everything you might need and lots of complimentary stuff. We had a wonderul king & queen treatment and really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast very good, with lots of options and high quality ingredients and dishes and elements to choose from. A truly outstanding 5 star experience

The location in the center of historical Siena, near all the attractions was great. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always with a smile. Valet service and parking in the ZTL area, where the hotel is located, was very efficient and convenient. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety , although not changing during our 5 nights stay. The scenery of old Siena rooftops and Duomo from the balcony was magnificent. A real 5 star quality hotel.

The hotel design is old fashioned and needs a facelift. This, however, did not prevent us from enjoying our stay enormously.

Amazing central location (5 mins from Piazza del Campo) and view from the room (we had a rear-facing room, #321, looking out towards the Duomo and Basilica - worth asking for rooms on this level and side). Wine tasting/tour of the hotel's C13 cellars was excellent - really informative and good VFM. Reception/concierge staff were brilliant.

The restaurant was disappointing, given the quality of everything else in the hotel. V v slow (best part of 3 hours!) and not impressed with the food esp after the wait. Wine good, though.

We arrived late on a Sunday, when the town was very quiet. The restaurant in a fancy hotel is expected to be ordinary at any time, and less than desired late on a Sunday when empty. We had an excellent meal - wonderfully better than expected - and after four meals in "the best" local restaurants the hotel meal ranked high. The breakfasts were also very good.

I dreams to stay there for some number of years not being able to find time to visit Tuscany. I made it this spring. I got the room with the view that I’d never be able to forget. Great bed also and bathroom. Great breakfast.

Elevator broke when we were inside. Was quite stressful. Somehow by pressing different buttons we managed to get out. The hotel service tried to do everything possible though and the whole thing took 30 min. They were all very nice and helped to take the luggage downstairs.

This is a magnificent property. It is such an experience to just sit in the rooms and enjoy the opulent atmosphere. If you have the chance have a “splurge” and indulge yourself. The staff are helpful and friendly, esp Elena C at the front desk. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. Late checkout is a bonus that allows you to see some sights before you go. The bathrooms are a little dated however they did not detract from the enjoyment the surroundings provide. Plus the beds are super comfy!!

Convenience of driving vehicle close to hotel and having someone valet it for us. We’ve experienced challenges staying in the old part of cities in Italy that limit vehicles which makes it a challenge lugging your luggage from the parking lot. The valet service is worth the parking fee. Attention to you as a guest similar to the Four Seasons. Wine tasting in cellar was a great experience!

We loved the location, the history, our beautiful room with amazing view of the Duomo, the friendly staff and the lovely grand salon. We also had a private wine tasting and dinner in the cellar which was fantastic.

The breakfast was a buffet and it was good but for a hotel like this we thought it could have been better and offered some cook to order options
