Everything was perfect.

I loved the atmosphere and the staff. From the moment I booked the holiday, I started receiving messages about transport and reminders about the shuttle. I found them very accommodating and really nice. It has a family atmosphere, a place where I would live to return. I could see everyone working really hard from the reception to the kitchen and cleaning staff. The dining room was amazing with gorgeous tiles.There were a couple of tinny issues but they were mended in minutes. I had my son with me. He was really Lound a messy as usual, as there are at this age, but they didn't seamed to mind. I particularly loved the lady that served us. I feel bad that I do not remember her name. She was a motherly figure. She was very kind and friendly. The breakfast was fairly diverse and satisfied everyone from our group ( which rarely happen). I loved the fact that they also served freshly squeezed orange juice. If the traveling to the place will be easier, I would return this year, but due to the turns, we are not that keen. Overall, it was really worth it. Thank you !

I would have loved to have olives in the morning, as this is a must for me and because of that I wanted to give a 9. However, it wouldn't have been fair as everything has exceed our expectations. So, for that reason, they deserve a 10 or A**. Thank you and I hope to return. PS: the pictures don't show the really beautiful place.

Smaller family owned and operated hotel with beautiful views and convenient location. Parking was easy and local transportation stopped right in front of the hotel. Owner was helpful in many different ways, from pointing out things to do, helping with money exchange, etc. Breakfast was fresh and offered a large spread of choices. Restaurant was excellent, so good in fact that we took most of our evening meals in the hotel. View from rooms and restaurant were wonderful.

Local roads are narrow and winding and more difficult to drive than I felt comfortable. This says nothing negative about the hotel, just pointing out the facts about driving a rental car in the Sorrento area. We stayed in 12 different hotels in Italy and Germany, and this was the best experience of them all.

Amazing view of Sorrento, Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Stunning sunset visible from our room balcony and dining room balcony. Buffet breakfast was incredible and consisted of a very big variety of hot food, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, bread, selection of cheeses, spreads, cereal, freshly squeezed orange juice and tea/coffee. Dinner was absolutely delicious so we decided to eat at the hotel every night. Dino helped us booked 3 tours which were all excellent. The hourly hotel shuttle to/from Sorrento was extremely handy. Very good wifi connection. Loved the pool and sundeck. Used the laundry and clothes line. Perfect stay and would stay again. 2nd generation family business that take pride in their hotel and really care about their guests.

Wow. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. From the moment we set inside, we felt right at home. The staff are so lovely and go and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The rooms are modern and clean with the most amazing view of Sorrento. The shuttle bus is free and picks up or drops you off every hour so getting to and from Sorrento was not a problem at all. You can really tell this is a Family establishment and the care they have for all their guests is amazing. The restaurant is amazing and had a really wide selection of food. The breakfast buffet was so amazing as well. I celebrated my birthday here and the staff even sung happy birthday to me and gave me a free tiramisu which was the best tiramisu I’ve had in Sorrento. This was truly the highlight of my stay and I will miss this place a lot. Already planning a holiday to come back!

What a delight to stay in such a beautiful quiet location that is proudly family run and has the most amazing views of Sorrento!! Meals in the restaurant are very good and presentation is excellent. Breakfast had a nice selection of fresh local produce, freshly squeezed orange juice and warm pastries. Room with sea view was spacious with ample cupboard space and extra pillows and blankets if needed. Highly recommend if you want to stay in Sorrento as a base to explore the towns along the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Vesuvius and Pompeii. Shuttle drops you into town so you can meet up with tours or explore. Special thanks to Mary who looked after us for dinner each night in the dining room!

It was one of the nicest hotels of its price I have stayed in Italy. The staff was very helpful in getting us the info we needed to time our day trip to Pompeii. Train schedules, bus information was all given with graciousness. Also, the rooms were very spacious, neat, clean, etc. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a charming small balcony with a fabulous view of the Mediterranean, especially at sunset. I am very particular about bathrooms, and the bathrooms in the rooms were nicely done with a large walk-in shower. The dining room was quite lovely and the dinner food and service were very good. We stayed two nights and were too tired to venture from the hotel for dinner. We enjoyed our meals both nights.

It was not within walking distance of the city center of Sorrento.

I’m already thinking of bringing my family and perhaps organise a group trip with friends to Il Nido again. If you like the best of both worlds - staying on a mountain with breath taking views and easy access to town (free shuttle bus that takes 15 mins), then you’re in for treat and something quite special. Breakfast with sweet treats as well as healthy options. The avocados are always ripe and perfect! Simply delightful. OMG - orange machine with the sweetest orange juice I’ve tasted. Dinner is yummy too! Il Nido is an oasis of calm and quiet. Staff are very friendly, professional and with a touch of homeliness about them. The room is spacious, clean and tidy. The owner told me they celebrated their 60th anniversary this June, so an establishment with lots of history. Thank you everyone for making my stay such a great one. I look forward to returning soon.

The location , as is beautifully situated on the mountain. Very clean, breakfast was very good.

I did not like the shuttle service. I thought that during summer months there would have been more service. Going back to the hotel from meeting point was very hectic. Even if we were there half hour before to wait in line, it became chaotic. I feel this puts a stress on your vacation. You have to waste half hour waiting for shuttle to go back to hotel at night or you risk not getting on the shuttle. I suggest more shuttle service. This would be a factor if I should come back to I’ll Nido

Loved this location and the view we had. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was big and everything was clean and well maintained. We also loved being away from the hustle and bustle even though Sorrento isn’t nearly as busy as Amalfi or Positano. I wouldn’t go back to the last two as even in September it was very crowded and super expensive. We paid 20 euros for 2 ice creams. The shuttle is very convenient and stops right outside the front door. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

The prices in Amalfi & Positano. I’d recommend finding some smaller towns to visit and get a feeling of the culture. The bigger towns have become super commercial. Some restaurants even ASK for tips now, which is something I’ve never experienced in my many visits to Italy, as I have family there. You get a much better experience and value for your money when visiting smaller towns.
