Amazing views and property and the staff are exceptional and so helpful. The shuttle is an amazing service making it so much easier. Truly an amazing place to stay.

beautiful view, wonderful staff and breakfast. the accommodation offers a shuttle to and from Sorrento Centre which was very convenient. Laura was very helpful to recommend restaurants and boat tours (much cheaper than online). highly recommend for a peaceful stay with benefits.

Villa Giovanna was clean, quiet, comfortable, beautiful, and convenient due to their free shuttle service. The staff was incredible. They also have a bar that they serve drinks from nightly and a free breakfast (they will make you coffee, eggs, really anything you would want). They also offered to drive us to the train station which was very helpful since taxis are often expensive. Although it is father from the city center, I would choose to stay there again because of how amazing the staff and service was. There is a beautiful view and the shuttle service takes away any inconvenience of being further away from downtown Sorrento. I would 100% recommend Villa Giovanna to anyone who is going to Sorrento.

A lovely peaceful location, close to nature, with some excellent views over the bay The shuttle service was frequent and prompt, which meant we could still easily access the nearby town of Sorrento. The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile to pick us up from the station on arrival and provide a welcome drink. The room was clean, tidy and the beds comfortable. Good breakfast.

Not much other than the wifi signal was not great from our room and we had to move towards the communal areas where there was a good signal.

The perfect location to stay in Sorrento. The property is lovely, and the team absolutely welcoming. Thank you so much to Laura for being the perfect host, and to her team 💜. You can choose to spend your time in peaceful relaxation or venture into Sorrento town and beyond.A shuttle bus runs at scheduled times throughout the day, offering convenient drop-offs and pick-ups to and from the heart of Sorrento (thanks, Elio 😊). Prefer to walk? There’s also a scenic 10-minute walking route waiting to be explored 😀. We will definitely be returning to Villa Giovanna next time we visit Sorrento.

That we couldn't stay longer...

This is an amazing family run hotel / villa!! I booked this as a surprise holiday for my other half. And we were both so pleased we had a lovely time here. My other half was over the moon with this place, and wished we could have stayed longer. The staff were all amazing, so helpful, friendly, and make this villa a happy place to be. The free shuttle bus service is a great service. Definitely needed as it’s a little way up in the mountains. But only takes 10 mins or so to get to town. The shuttle bus service runs at really convenient times and frequently. Our main driver was Antonietta, she doesnt speak much English, but that did not stop her for having a laugh with me, I actually couldn’t wait to get pick up by her, and have a dance in the front with the music. She even stopped and showed me an amazing view on top of the mountain. She went out of her way to make sure everyone is picked up, even if there wasn’t enough room on the bus. She would go straight back and collect them. On arrival you get a lovely welcome drink. Which is a lovely touch. And the little bar next to the pool is nice. Drinks were good. Breakfast was lovely. They make any eggs how you like them. The setting for breakfast is a gorgeous area. They really have worked hard on this place. It’s beautiful, clean and tidy. There is also a family dog, I believe her name is Cole! She kept her self to her self, and was very well trained. We love dogs and we couldn’t resist to get to know her. And she really was a lovely dog. Made the how whole feel wholesome. Definitely would recommend. 110% from me.

The only comments I would say, although the pool is gorgeous and has the most stunning view, it could do with a little clean, it felt a little gritty in the pool. Nothing major. And the beds are hard! Although I did get use to it in the end. They feel like they need a topper on top just to soften it up..

The villa is nestled in a beautiful and tranquil location. While it’s slightly removed from the center of Sorrento, the complimentary shuttle service more than makes up for the distance. We truly appreciated the villa’s authentic charm and the peaceful atmosphere away from the busy main streets. Staying here felt like visiting a warm and welcoming Italian family in the hills of Sorrento. There were a few times when we needed a shuttle outside the scheduled times to take us to or pick us up from the main street, and the villa staff was absolutely wonderful—always accommodating and eager to help my family.

The only area for improvement during our stay was the water pressure and temperature in the rooms. We stayed in a larger suite, and it’s possible that with multiple guests showering at the same time, the water pressure and temperature fluctuated. It wasn’t a major issue, but worth noting.

The hotel is small and personal in a magical setting up the hill from Sorrento, where it's breezy and quite quiet. There are lemon and olive trees out your window, and the property has so many sweet little seating areas to relax and enjoy. The staff and owners were wonderful and went out of their way for us. We loved the infinity pool with the fabulous view. We loved the breakfast area and the very kind staff who catered to my vegan diet and never made me feel like a nuisance. We were truly sad to have to leave Villa Giovanna.

Though the hotel shuttle was frequent -- and the staff made several unscheduled runs to help us out -- some might want to stay right in Sorrento. There is a lovely path from the hotel that gets you to the pedestrian center in about 15 minutes, but it would be challenging to walk back up to the hotel on that steep path.

We had the most amazing stay. The villa is absolutely gorgeous, the pool and the garden look like they’re from a postcard. Staff was really helpful and lovely. For anyone worrying about the distance from town centre, I can assure you that it is not a problem at all, the villa runs a shuttle service almost every hour and the staff is happy to drop you off at the station if you need it. Well done for creating such a magical place!

The pool was a great feature, especially in August weather! The whole property was lovely and even though the location was away from the centre, it was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. They had a shuttle bus running so didn’t need to worry about paying for taxis or walking up steep hills. Breakfast was a lovely and delicious - very hands on and the omelette was delicious. Would 100% stay here again.

In the bathroom, there was visible black mould on the wall which wasn’t a great sight but I think because the extract fan wasn’t fully working, that was the reason. Even though the shuttle was very convenient and great - there was a few occasions where the timings weren’t great and we were waiting 30 minutes after the time stated in the centre. However, I did get in touch & they sent someone straight away.
