Amazing views and property and the staff are exceptional and so helpful. The shuttle is an amazing service making it so much easier. Truly an amazing place to stay.

Villa Giovanna was clean, quiet, comfortable, beautiful, and convenient due to their free shuttle service. The staff was incredible. They also have a bar that they serve drinks from nightly and a free breakfast (they will make you coffee, eggs, really anything you would want). They also offered to drive us to the train station which was very helpful since taxis are often expensive. Although it is father from the city center, I would choose to stay there again because of how amazing the staff and service was. There is a beautiful view and the shuttle service takes away any inconvenience of being further away from downtown Sorrento. I would 100% recommend Villa Giovanna to anyone who is going to Sorrento.

A lovely peaceful location, close to nature, with some excellent views over the bay The shuttle service was frequent and prompt, which meant we could still easily access the nearby town of Sorrento. The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile to pick us up from the station on arrival and provide a welcome drink. The room was clean, tidy and the beds comfortable. Good breakfast.

Not much other than the wifi signal was not great from our room and we had to move towards the communal areas where there was a good signal.

The hotel is small and personal in a magical setting up the hill from Sorrento, where it's breezy and quite quiet. There are lemon and olive trees out your window, and the property has so many sweet little seating areas to relax and enjoy. The staff and owners were wonderful and went out of their way for us. We loved the infinity pool with the fabulous view. We loved the breakfast area and the very kind staff who catered to my vegan diet and never made me feel like a nuisance. We were truly sad to have to leave Villa Giovanna.

Though the hotel shuttle was frequent -- and the staff made several unscheduled runs to help us out -- some might want to stay right in Sorrento. There is a lovely path from the hotel that gets you to the pedestrian center in about 15 minutes, but it would be challenging to walk back up to the hotel on that steep path.

It was the perfect spot to base for a trip to the Amalfi coast! The views were stunning, there are many spots in the property to sit and relax outside while contemplating the sunset. The rooms are very comfortable and always clean. The staff was kind and more than helpful, they gave me recommendations on what to do in the coast and accommodated to my transfer schedule when leaving the hotel. The breakfast was really outstanding, high quality food and great service, I still think about it to this day. They have a nice garden with lemon trees next to the dining room. It was a great place to rest and unwind after doing day trips to other places in the coast.

The location is a bit far from the rest of the town (+30 minutes walk uphill). They have a shuttle service every couple of hours to and from the town centre which is super helpful, but the meeting point for pick-up can be inconvenient if coming by ferry (it is by the train station, so very convenient if arriving by train or bus!)

A charming oasis on the hillside above Sorrento, just a 20 minute walk down into town and a useful frequent shuttle there and back if you want it. Friendly hardworking staff - Laura, Daniela and Antonella and everyone there - feel like family by the end of your stay. The breakfasts are wonderful and the little bar with Limoncello spritz perfect. If you don’t want to move far you can eat at the Hotel Joanna just up from the villa. Nothing is too much trouble and you leave feeling thoroughly relaxed.

We loved the peace and quiet at Villa Giovanni, we barely saw the other guests, there are plenty of nooks and areas to sit outdoors, in sun and shade, so everyone can have their own spot. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and they made sure we got a welcome drink on arrival. There is an old-world quality to the design of the hotel, it is the next best thing to staying in your own private villa. The shuttle bus down to the town was brilliant. Breakfast was also very good and plentiful.

The mosquitoes are a nuisance but nothing to do with the hotel obviously - just make sure to bring good tepellant.

Location was great, loved having breakfast in the rose garden with views across the bay to Capri and beyond Loved the staff attitude, they would go out of their way to assist, particularly arranging trips and on one occasion retrieving my phone from another village after I left it on the bus. Laura was a great host, Elio and Antoinetta were fantastic getting us down to the town and safely back and the breakfast and cleaning staff were always smiling and very helpful. We felt very welcome

Gorgeous boutique hotel in the hills of Sorrento. Clear view of the ocean from my room. Gorgeous gardens filled with resting chairs to admire the view. Room was modern, clean, well equipped and quiet. Every single member of the staff was friendly and helpful. Giovani and Laura were amazing. Outstanding breakfast (you can order eggs, bruschetta etc.) The hotel offers a free transfer service to the city. In the last day, I had to leave early in the morning to catch a bus to Naples. This was way before the regular hours of the hotel transfer. Laura arranged for Giovanni to bring me to the bus station at 5:30 am so I didn’t have to pay for a cab. It is an unforgettable experience, and I hope to visit Villa Giovanna again one day.
