The general area was good. 20 minute walk to most places. It was conveniently located to get from the airport, to the train station, and to Murano and Burano. I would pick something in this area if not a little closer to the centre again. Room looked exactly like the photo and was imacculate. The receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. It really feels like a family business and the kind of place you would like to return to again.

The pin on booking.com does not reflect the actual location of the property. It is actually located on Ramo Barbaro next to Ca D'Oro. You check in at another hotel and then get shown there. This is well communicated. It would be better if the property pin location was accurate to help with finding your way back on google maps. The property is located between bridges on the grand canal so it is a little time consuming to get across to rialto unless you have a water bus pass. We didn't spend much time there so that wasn't a big deal.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Hotel At Leonard! From the moment I booked, the staff were incredibly helpful, providing detailed instructions on how to easily find the hotel before my arrival, which made my journey smooth and stress-free. The hotel itself is spotless, impeccably clean, and very comfortable—truly a haven after a day of exploring. What truly made my stay special was the exceptional friendliness and support of the receptionist and staff members. They went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcome and well taken care of. Not only were they professional and courteous, but they also acted like personalised tour guides, offering helpful tips and introducing me to the best sights and experiences in Venice. Their warmth and genuine hospitality made me feel like I was staying with friends rather than just at a hotel. The location is perfect—conveniently situated in a great area, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, I am extremely happy and completely satisfied with my stay at Hotel At Leonard. It is truly a model hotel, combining cleanliness, comfort, superb service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Venice!

I could not recommend this hotel enough. It was my first time travelling with just my 10 year old daughter. From the moment we arrived Santina was so welcoming and pleasant to us. She made us feel like we were in our home away from home. She was so nice to my daughter. The hotel was spotlessly clean, continental breakfast was lovely. Location was perfect 5 minutes walk from the airport boat taxi. And then 10-12 minutes walk to St. Marks square. In the area of the hotel there were lovely restaurants which are budget friendly and lots of stalls with souvenirs and ice cream shops etc. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Venice in the future.

Pros (+): • The hotel is located in the center of Venice, about a 5-minute walk from the Rialto Bridge. • There is a Coop supermarket nearby. • The hotel has a Venetian-style interior, creating a historical atmosphere. • The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. • After check-out, you can leave your luggage at the reception and continue exploring the city. • The room is equipped with towels, shampoo, soap, shower caps, toilet paper, a safe, a wardrobe with hangers, and a hairdryer. • Daily cleaning service. • The room has air conditioning. • There are radiators in the room, making it a great option for visiting during the colder months—they provide excellent heating. • Plastic windows help retain warmth in the room. • The hotel offers breakfast. We didn’t try it, but it’s nice to have the option. • The firm mattress ensures a good night’s sleep—we slept like babies. Cons (-): • There is mold above the bathroom window. • Some walls have cracks. • The fridge didn’t work. It had a light on as if it was functioning, but it didn’t cool the food. • There are no shelves for clothes, only hangers, which made organizing our belongings a bit inconvenient.

Great location, close to St Mark’s Square, about 15 mins walk. Very close to many restaurants, bars, supermarket was 2 mins away. The hotel was very clean, nicely refurbished, the bathroom facilities looked new and well looked after. Staff was amazing, very helpful and accommodating. Really liked it, especially as it was 1 star hotel, it exceeded my expectations.

There is nothing I didn’t like. I would have appreciated if the room was fitted with kettle but as so many cafes around it wasn’t necessary.

We spent three nights in this hotel and we really loved it! Our room was super clean, had a very beautiful antique interior, and so spacious. The hotel is located at a very calm neighborhood yet just seconds away from beautiful canals and very close to the center (St. Marco), just 10-15 minutes on foot. The staff are very kind and you will get a lot of helpful information about what, where, and how to do things in Venice at the time of check-in. We will definitely come back to this hotel in our next visit.

Wifi connection was rather poor

The room has very nice decoration, the twin bed is actually two singles together but it was confortable. It was very clean and the towels were changed every day. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull. The room is only 100 metres from the main hotel with the reception and at the corner there is a supermarket. Canarregio is the best place to stay in venice because it is very close to the center but also very quiet and with the best value restaurants to eat.

the shower was a little old but nothing special

The room was great for the three of us. Plenty space and the beds were comfy. The room could easily accommodate a family of 4 as there was a double bed + 2 twin beds. The place was clean. The reception was very good, helpful and friendly. Very handy location for transport from and to the airport and also to and from the train station. We did both and both stops (different stations) were less than 10 mins walk from the hotel. I really liked the location as it was not as busy as San Marco still close enough to all the attractions (10-15 ins walk to most things)

Nothing really, it was all good. The set up was a bit unusual as you check in in a different building but it was less than 5 mins walk (literally around the corner) and the staff was very helpful and pleasant

Lovely big old fashioned room, toilet was a fair size and very clean. I was very impressed at how quiet it was in the hotel, nice quiet area of Venice. We booked in through the sister hotel and the gentleman who checked us in was very polite and had a brilliant sense of humour.

Venice is not cheap for accommodation, I would have liked to have paid between £60-£80 for the room per night but it was £125 I can imagine this goes up in the summer as we stayed in October. £125 is a lot of money in my option for room only with no breakfast and we overlooked an alley way.

Great attentive service from the family run hotel, helpful information and great personal touches. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious, very clean and had the most amazing views, our own little Venice. Loved the location, the area is vibrant and interesting and not too far from the main sites of interest. We felt the location has a good balance between tourists and where the local, 'real' people live.

Pleased to have been able to book the continental breakfast while visiting but would have preferred local products such cold meats, breads, cheeses rather than processed and would have led to us booking more than once.
