The Crowd of Homeless people opposite / outside the hotel is a dampner

The room was spacious, comfortable and had a huge bed. It was cleaned daily. Breakfast was included and offered a nice variety, with slightly different options each morning. There was a good selection of beverages, including filter coffee, decaf filter coffee, and a range of teas. A standout feature was the option to make warm waffles, with the toppings changing daily.

There were some homeless individuals near the hotel during the day. Since we visited in winter, it seemed they moved elsewhere at night, but we’re not sure how it might be in the warmer months.

Staff were friendly. Clean room. Location was decent. There was construction going on on one of the floors, we were nervous about noise and interruptions but it didn’t bother us at all.

We didn’t get any menus in the room for any room service. Upon booking, we requested extra pillows to which I was emailed saying they would be in the room. They were not. I tried calling front desk, no answer. Thankfully we brought a pillow each anyway. Just for anyone who would care - during the day time there’s multiple sirens since it’s near the hospital. And it’s loud. Police presence outside that we could see quite often. Lots of homeless (congregation of groups of people) quite often. Though we did not feel unsafe. Pool was clean, open late too. Basic, but chilly. No hot tub. Breakfast was ….ok. Better than what I’ve had elsewhere but it was nothing fabulous. Was not kept hot either. But it was better than nothing.

Wonderful location, parking was ok but could be much better, at times there was no place close to walk to the hotel but ok for Boston.

We were looking really forward to swimming and lounging by the pool while my husband had his surgery at New England Baptist. BUT! The room where the pool was very cold and the water lukewarm warm, so for me winter stays will not happen at that hotel, you couldn’t even stand there and dry off it was freezing. You shouldn’t advertise a pool if it’s freezing, it’s Boston on the water, it should have been much much warmer..

Room was adequate. It was clean and orderly. Breakfast was nice. There was a good variety of foods, juices and coffees. Everything was kept hot (or cold). Check in and check out was quick and efficient.

There was soap in the bathroom but no shampoo or conditioner. Only 1 wash cloth and towel when there should have been at least 2. The location was difficult because of traffic and signs to the main entry were hard to find. Was dropped off on Mass Ave but had to walk around the building to find the main entrance.

Free 24/7 coffee. Spacious room. Early check in.

The location is dodgy. There are lot of cops patrolling the area, more so during the night. Best not to walk around the hotel. While the hotel does have security staff, illicit people do enter the lobby to snatch a free drink or use the restroom.

Great hotel, lovely breakfast and great staff. Room was clean and very comfortable.

This is not the hotel's fault, but its location right next to hospitals and emergency services headquarters meant that there were a lot of ambulance sirens throughout the night. The area felt safe with clear security patrol cars and personnel around, but it is not in the most elegant part of town.

All went well. As always: from Front Desk to Dining, everything was perfect. It is not my first time at your hotel -- every year I need to be in Boston to take care of personal businesses, and could not wish for a better place to stay.

Nothing could be better than what I have experienced in the many years I have stayed in your hotel. I am sure you are constantly improving, but the level of excellence is so high that it is hard to notice upswing changes, as one hardly notices changes for the better in what is already better!

Property is beautiful inside and very well maintained. Kids loved the pool and they were able to accommodate having two rooms next to each other for our large family.

The surrounding area had a very high homeless/addict population, so going out for food or breakfast was not something we were able to do. It was very loud outside all night, which caused some issues for sleeping.

After returning home from a week in Europe, nothing could beat the plush pillows and strong (free) WiFi. The shampoo/conditioner and shower gel smelled wonderful, and the towels were plentiful and nice. Room was comfortable, and we enjoyed the free breakfast. Very quiet room.

$$$$ compared to Europe (by comparison, we had just spent less than $100/night for a week in Naples, whereas this was nearly $600 for two nights and this was the cheapest option we could find). Convenient enough to the Metro. Please make the installation of bidets standard to American culture. Check in took longer than expected due to an issue with the key card creator, the desk person resolved it to the best of her ability.
