The location is the best thing. Very near the train stations for yamanote & asakusa line, and its one of the smaller stations so there wasnt a lot of walking to get to the platforms. The room I chose was spacious enough for about 4 opened luggages with enough space to walk around. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but still comfortable enough to use unless you are over 190cm tall. It was also cleaned daily, however it still felt a little dusty. A non-issue really since Tokyo has the cleanest & freshest air lol literally just go outside. The staff at the lobby were extremely helpful and friendly. They helped store luggages before check in time as well as the process of forwarding our luggages to the next location. There is a familymart right out the lobby door. Really convenient for quick bites. Thank you so much Hotel Mystays :)

There is no dedicated smoking room within the hotel itself. However there is a public one outside, and since its out in the open it was nice & not stuffy. The lobby’s bathroom wasnt available for use at the time so I was told to use the one on the second floor, but when I got there it was a bathroom inside a hotel room that was just opened so that was a little weird, but hey at least they provided a solution :)

It was my second stay here. Really loved it. Everything great : facilities, staff, location. All are wonderful. Hotel is right across a Yamanote line station, supermarket, uniqlo, matsukiyo, sushiro, ippudo, yoshinoya, mcdonalds, excelsior coffee, kfc, wendy's coco ichi..., A Family Mart is found at the door of hotel and a Yakiniku Like nearby. Staff are pleasant, helpful and courteous. Always with a warm smile and sincere heart to help and be of service.

Nothing. All delightful. Just book early. Easily gets filled up.

I am loving the location. Just across Gotanda station, alot of restos and stores in the area. Near to groceries and mall. Nearest station which is Gotanda, is part of the Yamanote line hence easier to travel to famous spots in Tokyo. The area is central but not chaotic, not Shinjuku levels. The room is small which is expected but it was very clean and complete with the basic needs to that made my 5 nights stay comfortable. Staff - very nice and accommodating. I will definitely stay with this hotel again once I am back in Tokyo!

The room can be hot/suffocating at times. There is an AC but still not that helpful, not sure if I just don't know how to operate it. I can't open the window as well.

The room was super clean. The bed was comfortable. There is a convenience store on the first floor. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area. Super safe. Super great location, just in front of Gotanda station with multiple lines to get around Tokyo.

I have stayed at this same hotel several times and I don't like being asked for my passport every time. My information is in the app, I paid in advance, and the staff even made a copy of my residence card before. I feel like it is some kind of discrimination. Why is this necessary? Sometimes I arrive late and just want to get to my room asap, but the check in process seems to take a long time because of this.

We stayed in a triple room with 3 separated beds. The room was clean with the daily cleaning service. It was spacious with enough space to open our suitcases. The toilet was separated from the sink and bathroom as well as the bathtub. The location was perfect. There was a FamilyMart on the ground floor, as well as many restaurants in the small alleys around the hotel. There were also supermarkets and grocery shops around. The hotel is right next to the Gotanda train station just across the road (but the noise from the trains didn't bother us). Both JR and Metro made it easy to get to everywhere in Tokyo and easy to come back to the room for a little break during the long traveling day.

The Hotel Mystays in Gotanda is a beautiful, modern hotel literally almost ON the train station in Gotanda. Having travelled to Japan a few times now, this hotel in Tokyo is severely underrated, and is a perfect location for a base while travelling. Whilst Gotanda itself isn't the most sought after location, the hotel more than makes up for it with convenience. It's comfortable, clean, close to the station, and has a REALLY good proximity to all the stores you will need, and not to mention the breakfast is AMAZING. There is a FamilyMart store directly underneath so you can easily get convenience items. There is a chemist across the road incase you have any unexpected medical requirements. There is a Ramen Shop down the alley next door and a McDonalds across the road, so you are spoiled for choice and convenience. The biggest bonus is the proximity to the JR Gotanda/Yamanote Line, which means you can walk from the hotel to the station in a few minutes, and be most places in Tokyo within 15-20 minutes. The Laundry also has an awesome app which allows you to pay using your card or Apple Pay, and then monitor the time remaining - this allows you to do other activities but quickly/easily see when you need to go and remove your washing etc.

The only downside (and this is me being incredibly picky) is that the Air Conditioning is centrally controlled across the entire hotel. When we arrived, we found it to be quite hot and asked the staff how to change it. We were advised that it couldn't be changed, so we spent most of our 12 night stay there with both windows open (which cooled the room, but let the city and train noise in).

The hotel has a fantastic location, right next to the train station, and is around many restaurants and shops. The staff were absolutely amazing, incredibly polite, and welcoming. The hotel gives you plenty of amenities (hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc) and you can leave your luggage until check in with them. We are extremely happy with our time there and are already missing it. I highly recommend the hotel!

I loved the location, it was really close to the station and to eateries and shops. The breakfast was well worth the extra cost, it had the same menu almost everyday but there was enough variety to make different combinations. I also appreciated the staff being multi lingual and understanding of our needs.

I enjoyed my stay here but I wish the detail in the room cleanliness was looked at more carefully. We had to shift the bed to be able to get to the bed from both sides, and when we moved the bed, it had looked like they never vacuumed. There were also some dirt/mold spots in the shower area... I may be holding the cleanliness to a higher standard since it is Japan.

Friendly staff. They sent over my sunglasses that i left from the room to my hotel in Osaka. The place itself is very convenient and next to 2 train stations. Yamanote Line and Asakusa Line. We initially booked the queen bed and it was the better room compared to the other twin room we booked as an extension to our stay. The space is ample given the standard sizes of tokyo/japan hotels. Will go with Hotel Mystays again, next time will try their other branches.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at, it was super close to the Gotanda train station (around 1-2 minute walk depending on the pedestrian lights), there is a convenience store right next to the entrance, a pharmacy and small grocery store right across the hotel. The staff were super friendly and kind, they cleaned our rooms every single day and our room is super clean and comfortable.

No negative thing to say, we absolutely loved it here!
