The room had excellent natural lighting, plenty of space, and a modern, well-designed interior. There’s a great rooftop terrace on the sixth floor, along with a shared social area for guests. The shower facilities on B1 were also clean and well-maintained.”

I didn’t expect that the twin room would come without a private bathroom or toilet—especially given that the price is above average. The shared lounge and kitchen area on the sixth floor were not well maintained in terms of hygiene. The emergency exit sign inside the room was extremely bright and made it difficult to sleep unless covered. The bed was overly soft and not particularly comfortable. Additionally, while the room had good natural light, the lack of proper blackout curtains meant that the space became too bright early in the morning, making it hard to get adequate rest.

The location is superb, the restaurant at the ground floor is amazing. The hotel lobby is also very comfortable to just chill. Rooms were small but the view was good.

I had an odd experience where I left my money in the room locker and double checked it was locked before leaving for the day. however I returned to find the locker unlocked, but somehow none of the money was missing. When I brought it up with the front desk they refused to believe me. In short, just don't use the room locker!

Excellent location in Shinjuku, situated next to a nice park with the hotel and views giving off Central Park vibes. The hotel also has a super cool New York vibe. As soon as you enter you are met with music and a bustling lobby full of atmosphere. There is a delicious bakery in the hotel as well as a cafe/restaurant. The rooms are perhaps a little bit of a disappointment having seen what you get when you enter the lobby, as you expect something a little more refined or exclusive from the hotels interior on the ground floor. However the rooms are well equipped with space utilised well. The hotel seems to be an enclave for Australians and a few Americans and complete with the ground floor vibe, it gives off a very non-Japanese feel. You could be in New York or Melbourne or London or LA. If you want to feel like you’re not so far from home then this is perfect. But if you want to feel like you’re in Japan, then this place is not for you. That is not to say we don’t like the hotel - I think it’s fantastic in many ways and would definitely recommend it, it just depends what type of trip you want.

The Knot Hotel exceeded my expectation. The breakfast is excellent, the music is always on and very good in the right volume; the ground-floor restaurant is very good. Good location, about 20 minutes walking from Shinjuku station. Across the street from a gorgeous park.

The rooms are small. Expected for Japan; but they are really small. Good for one person; a stretch for two.

The best thing about this property is the bakery attached to it. If you have been eating a lot of Japanese meals and are craving western bread and baked goods, this hotel is ideal for a change of pace. The bakery’s goods are served at the hotel’s buffet breakfast along with other western-style breakfast items like eggs, bacon, cheese, prosciutto, waffles, and hashbrowns. The bakery items are also available for purchase. The items include croissants, baguettes, bagels, grilled cheese, focaccia, donuts, raisin bread, quiche, muffins, and pretzels. The bakery also makes Japanese shokupan bread and egg salad sandwich!

The location is within a 15-20 minute walk to the Shinjuku station. While seemingly not very far, the walk can feel far on hot days when you are already tired from a long day of sightseeing. However, the walk through the nearby park is lovely.

Great room, perfect for our 4 day stay. Amazing breakfast, everything I like and gorgeous fresh fruit selection. Easy to walk everywhere and lots of restaurants very close by. The bar is great for a drink and something small to eat in the evening.

No 2nd bedside table but we improvised and put a chair on my side of the bed.

Beautiful boutique like common areas with a wonderful bakery ‘More Than’ attached to it that has a wide offering. Opposite a rather nice park and located in an area which is free of the clutter and bustle of Tokyo. Extremely close to pick up spot for day tours.

The room size is a bit cramped for 2 if there’s a lot of luggage to maneuver around. Though located extremely close to public transportation, bars and nightlife is a fair bit away. This part of town is filled more with commercial establishments

The location was excellent, walking distance to three train stations including Shinjuku. The hotel is on the edge of a beautiful park, which gives you some respite from the throngs of people getting in and out of Shinjuku station. The hotel is amazing, really lovely staff, well-appointed and great decor and artwork on entry. The rooms are a good size, as we had twin beds, a luggage stand each for our suitcases, all the regular amenities, including a little fridge and kettle, ground coffee, and a great view of the park. The Morethan bakery is also at the lobby level of the hotel, and was where we bought our breakfast from, picking different pastries or sandwiches each day...so delicious and well-priced! There is a DJ playing music in the lobby on Friday nights, so has a great vibe about it. The restaurant is excellent and does buffets on the weekend, which are very good. The neighbourhood you are in is quiet, safe and has many choices for great food, plus many convenience stores as well. You just need to step out and explore it. I would highly recommend The Knot Tokyo at Shinjuku.

The beds were quite hard and pillows were flat.

The hotel is well situated, being about a10 minute walk from downtown Shinjuku. The rooms are on the small side, typical of japanese hotels, but very clean and comfortable. The staff were super accomodating and friendly. It was really quiet at night and the double glazing kept out all traffic noise. All toiletries were provided and fresh towels provided daily if needed. There is a laundry and an ice machine in the hotel which is very useful for travellers. The hotel is located across the road from Shinjuku park which is lovely to walk around and there is a Starbucks located within the park, a few minutes from the hotel. The hotel has a bakery (More Than) attached to the lobby and the food was excellent. This is a huge plus for staying at the Knot. It only cost about AUD $8 to get a taxi to the hotel from the Shinjuku station. Highly recommend.

We didn't like the pillows! Too hard and only one each. The bed was faced away from the television and there was no english news channels. The room felt hot at times overnight.

Location is great! Short walk to the Metropolitan Building, close to bus and train stations, several convenience stores close by. 15-20 minute walk to Shinjuku hub. There’s also a bakery on the property for light breakfast and the hotel offers a buffet breakfast as well. The staff were friendly and the property offered a clean and comfortable room to rest after long days of exploring Tokyo. We walk around the property at 10pm and felt very safe around the area too. Really good.

The room is quite cramped with the furnitures squeezed into a small space. Doesn’t leave enough room for 2 luggages to open and to pack. It could use a few more hooks or hangers to hang clothes on as there is no room for closet to store clothes. Also, the room is quite clean with the beds being made everytime but they can also give the vents a wipe as they are quite dusty. Room 344.
