We had business nearby so one of our main priorities was to find accommodation close by, and Obis Sydney Airport achieved that whilst also having close proximity to the airport for our impending flight home. The room was small but clean and comfortable, with the splash of red trim adding a dash of style in an otherwise white, slightly bland room. The modular bathroom was very neat and tidy, and the bed, comfy. Staff were very efficient, polite and help. We had a minor issue with the room’s air conditioner, reported it to reception and it was sorted by the time we returned from an appointment. It was good to have overnight parking facilities on the grounds, with the cost not too exorbitant. Easy access as well. Liked the 11 am checkout and we were told we could avail ourselves of the facilities until it was time to go to the airport. Would definitely stay here again if circumstances were similar.

“Didn’t like” is a bit strong but a couple of things that could have been improved were noted. Breakfast technically finished at 10 yet clearing of some food occurred before then. More staff could have been on duty for the bar in the evening and at dinner time. The evening meal of flathead both my husband and I ordered wasn’t that enjoyable. The fish tasted old, as if it had been frozen for quite some time. We had an aircon issue but that was resolved very quickly due to the efficient, helpful staff.

It is easy to get there by bus from the airport (Route 350). The restaurant is cozy and welcoming. Big serves for dinner menu and reasonable prices. They also serve breakfast (choice of cooked/ Continental buffet), but I was too busy sleeping in! Reception warm and friendly. The 11am checkout is great when you're still a bit tired from flying the day before!

I've stayed there before, so knew what to expect. The rooms are small (for one person it was fine), but enough room to open out a largish suitcase onto the floor. My room had a musty smell, but I carry a can of body spray for this very reason! The cleaners do what they can do, but the hotel needs to steam clean the carpets and upholstery and maybe replace the cushions! There is a pump of body soap in the shower. No shampoo or conditioner, so take your own.

Ease of check in/check out, size of room, closeness to airport, blinds in room were perfect for blocking out light as I had an early morning flight and wanted to get an early nights sleep.

Communication with payment. I was told my payment method had been deleted off my booking so I paid via eftpos when I checked in. I then had the same amount taken from my account leaving me with no money for my holiday the next day. I also had to wait 3-7 working days (received well and truly after I'd gotten home from my trip) to receive the extra money they had taken out of my bank account back.

I booked this room within minutes of my flight to Melbourne being cancelled. It is super close to the terminal, less than 5 minutes on the shuttle. I got a cab from the terminal to the hotel - dont, it was 20 bucks for less than 1km! The shuttle is $10 each way but be aware it's only every 40 mins FROM the hotel to airport. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was pretty good. Easy check in and out. All new and clean.

I was on the ground floor facing O'Riordian St so it's a bit loud with trucks going by non stop all night. It IS at an airport though so what can you do?

When I checked in the receptionist was very nice and polite very helpful. I went in had breakfast the next morning the lovely waitress that was working on shift on the 8th of October was so helpful polite greeted me when I walked in she also greeted other customers she was an absolute gem to talk to. If I had to say anything the shower in my room the plastic plug came off where it drains it needs to be fixed and the bed has wheels needs to be taken off so every time you sit on the bed to go to sleep it doesn't roll around lol when I left a new receptionist was on shift and he was lovely as well and the bus driver was very nice and polite great customer service I have a background in hospitality and I always go above and beyond for my clients and they were really lovely people to me thank you.

Just the drain in the shower I was in room 306 and the top of the drain had come off and cut my foot a little bit but it's okay that just needs to be fixed.

There was a kettle but no spoons in the room. The reception gets very busy and as they were understaffed they asked me to coome get one myself from the restaurant. Also I had to wait for the shuttle bus to airport and nobody told me or others I needed a ticket which was awkward as I had lots of luggage and had to rush. They need a sign telling people. Some of the carpets are quite worn or stained.. Didn't like the toiletries supplied just being a body wash for all things and no fresh milk..

This hotel is an easy walk from the Domestic Terminal, and finding it is very simple. The staff were excellent, the receptionist that greeted me was very friendly, informative and answered the couple of questions that I had. Booking the airport shuttle was also very easy with plenty of times available, and it was on time that following morning.

Ate at the restaurant that night, it was a lovely meal with a couple of drinks. The only minor complaint is that it was quite expensive, even by Sydney standards.

Everything in the room was amazing, bed was comfortable and food at the restaurant was delicious and worth every penny.

The bathroom was abit to small especially for plus sizes. The shower was ok but the bathroom alone was a tad small. But it was clean. Also the bathroom door its so loud as you had to pull abit hard to close it and I be neighbours could hear us opening and closing the bathroom door. Other then that was beautiful stay.

Excellent location for airport & exploring. Staff were very helpfull. Booked us 4.0 taxi for airport onward to NZ. Approx 30 AUD which was well worth paying, actually gave him 40, good value to us at that time! Hotel has very good restaurant facility. Excellent Breaky. Railway in walking distance had a system that was, so easy with on off using CRT card- no queueing for tickets.

Carpets were very tired but not an item that can be changed too often so appreciate the footfall they must have. Slight lack of surface area for small items need to re sort when travelling.

The rooms and bathroom were comfortable and clean

The front desk staff needs to be more friendly and courteous to brown skin people, I could see clear favouritism to white people. Another instance where there was clear favouritism is when the staff helped another customer heat up the food whereas denied my request for my food to be heated, I even purchased beers ($22) to help my case
