Booked far in advance so I only paid £110 for two people with breakfast in mid August - great deal

As many commented - it is a little dated - but they are starting a refurb in October floor by floor. My only only criticism was the TV was bad but I wasn’t in London to watch TV.

The hotel was extremely clean with excellent staff. Housekeeping staff were exceptionally good, our room was always cleaned and well presented. Breakfast was up to standard with a good choice. Location was perfect with walking distance to the tube. Dante at front of house is incredible helpful and a great human being.

The room was small and cramped with the bed pushed up against one wall making it difficult for me (retired) to get out of bed. We would have liked to have been able to open a window. The shower over the bath had restricted headroom and was challenging to use. This may be because the room was cheaper, but no information was given about these restrictions. You should NOT send emails to suggest upgrading your room and naming your own price without such information. If you want people to return this approach will not work.

Lovely staff - shoutout to Stella and the team, who had smiles and were happy to help! Excellent hot/cold breakfast with great buffet choices and fresh fruit/pastries. Good to have luggage stored outside of check-in/out times. Room was fine for a four-night stay - clean and comfy bed (pillows bit hard for me though) with a shower that was really powerful. Decent size towels as well. All the lifts worked (how often are hotel lifts out of order?!) and plenty of them so didn't have to wait long when called. The lobby area is lovely and spacious and the conservatory where we had breakfast has a 'faded grandeur' about it; large windows overlook the bustling road and Kensington Gardens outside. A short stroll from Lancaster Gate tube on Central Line is a big bonus - you're in central London within a few minutes. Perfect for leafy strolls in the park opposite and within half-hour's walking distance from Notting Hill, Kensington etc.

Room temperature control didn't appear to be in working mode and window didn't quite shut properly, so it was a little chilly at times (unseasonably cool temperature for June though).

The staff were professional and helpful. The location was perfect with bus services and the tube station 1-3 minutes walk away and over the road from Hyde Park. The hotel was peaceful and the breakfast buffet had a good selection of traditional English breakfast and continental.

Tired accommodation. The lobby and restaurant areas were well maintained and presented. However, the exterior of the hotel and the accommodation areas such as corridors and room were tired and in need of renovation. Scuffed or chipped woodwork, bath panel in poor condition, limescale on the shower head, bath and taps functional but parts missing. The beds were on wheels and kept moving away from the wall if you were sitting up in them to watch TV (need brakes)

Great value for money, all the staff we interacted with were friendly and attentive (inc front desk, kitchen/catering and cleaners), walking distance to Paddington area (10 min), we walked from Marylebone Station in just over 20 mins, Plenty of places to eat within 10/15 mins radius. Buffet breakfast kept us going most of the day, was able to get more milk for tea/coffee quite late on at night, fresh towels dropped of each morning.

Given what we paid (which was great for 2 nights in central-ish London), we got what we expected so it's hard to give any real criticism. The only minor thing that could be improved upon is having a few more non-animal options for breakfast, so a non milk-based butter, maybe soya or oat milk option for tea/coffee/cereal . Having said that, beans on toast with mushrooms, hash brown and tomatoes was more than good enough to start the day.

Few minutes walk from Lancaster Gate tube station, we arrived 11am and were delighted that our room was available. Adequate storage space. Enough room either side of bed to get out tight but manageable we stayed in a business double on eighth floor we had requested high floor. Breakfast was self serve, waitress did serve tea or coffee, very pleasant breakfast area. Every member of staff we met was exceptionally pleasant, polite and helpful. This was our 3rd stay at the Corus hotel and would definitely stay again for the right price.

Once you’d had a shower made the bathroom quite restrictive due to the position of the sink and the floor being wet in that area.

Had a problem with very noisy, inconsiderate neighbours well into the early hours on the first night of our stay. This was handled very tactfully, professionally, discreetly and efficiently by the hotel staff and there were no issues for the remaining nights of our stay. Lead in room type was compact but comfortable and adequate for our stay and room serviced every day. Breakfast had good choice of continental and full cooked items with table service tea and coffee. Location excellent overlooking Hyde Park and very close to tube station and bus stops.

Both key cards stopped working on 2 separate days (we did not keep them near our phones) so had to go back to reception. However, staff were polite, apologised and reset the cards quickly. Bathroom very small with a very high sided bath with shower over, some people may struggle getting into the bath

The lights in the room could do with being a bit brighter ,the plug sockets could do with updating like a usb port at the side of the bed ,would be helpful if you had more information leaflets at the hotel like other hotels do .i know people say you have the internet for information but it not the same as leaflets of how to see places by trian or bus and other leaflets of what to do , was disappointed in the breakfast we had was not worth the money ,the scrambled egg was awful the bacon was to fatty I know they have to cater for a lot of people but standards of food should always be good the sausages was lovely and the melon was nice to with the Greek yogurt hope you find this review helpful kind regards carol fairbairn

We booked two rooms, of which one was upgraded for a small fee to a business room and the other we kept as standard twin room. The upgraded room was small, but comfy and nice as it was done up. The standard twin-room was tired looking though and in need of an update. Upgrade your room for a small fee is worth it bearing in mind the price you pay for this hotel, its is excellent value for money. The staff were are very friendly. The rooms were clean and quiet.

As said, avoid the standard rooms that still need to be refurbished. They look tired and not great, but again you might be very happy taking the price into account.

The location was exactly what we needed, and the breakfast was particularly delicious. The bed was so comfortable, we were out like a light as soon as we hit it and the bathroom facilities were a lovely touch, having lots of extra toiletries and sanitary items available. Would definitely recommend

If we had to complain about anything, it would have to be that the windows were quite thin and did not block out a lot outside noise, which was a short term issue when people were shouting and singing from outside a pub in the night, which fortunately quieted down quickly.
