Lovely lounge area, really affordable, friendly staff, pet friendly.

Car parking a slight pain, 10 mins walk away, hard to drop off luggage, passengers etc. The £9 parking deal didn't really work as we had to pay £27 for 2 nights and unfortunately Ibis staff couldn't resolve.

Lovely comfortable stay. The room that I booked is small but just for one person, it was perfect. For some reason, even though I have paid via booking.com, the staff insisted that i haven't. And stupidly I paid again before double checking my bank statement and booking.com. I realised I wasn't the only one as staff were asking some people a few hours later the same thing when they had also already paid. This definitely needs looking into. Breakfast was decent with pastries, toast, cereal and 3 hot breakfast items. Not a massive range like some other buffet but will definitely keep you going!

Lovely clean, modern hotel close to the Ring Road but within walking distance to The Moor and Sheffield city centre. It was really great value for my stay. The room is compact but was perfect for my needs. The bed was really comfortable and the room was equipped with a blackout blind which meant I slept very well. My room was on the opposite side to the ring road but I never noticed any noise. A nice, clean spacious bathroom (compared to other budget friendly hotels I've stayed in) and the shower was a decent size and didn't feel cramped. While I had limited interactions with staff (I was out most of the time during my stay), those interactions were always positive and engaging. I would definitely stay here again.

There isn't a lot of storage space for clothes etc so it would suit a shorter stay. While refreshments were available downstairs, I did miss having a fridge in the room and would have liked to have seen a water refill station and perhaps an alternative refreshment option (vending machine perhaps).

I liked the location, and the overall experience was very good. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had a good rest and the room I chose is perfect for solo and, as advertised, would be for couples. While there was noise from the roads below, it didn't impede my sleep at all. I would come back if I was in the area.

Even though breakfast was included in the price of my stay, I feel like more hot options should've been available. For example, some bacon and hash browns would've been a nice touch. And although my room was nice overall, the bathroom, the shower specifically, needs a little more attention in terms of cleanliness. From what I could tell, there was a fair bit of what looked like mould in between the tiles (it was black, which is why I came to that conclusion).

The hotel location is just perfect. It is just outside the centre which is easily accessible by foot, and also of Ecclesall Road which had many shops and restaurants and bars. The room was basic with a comfortable bed and and kettle etc. I had all I needed. Downstairs was the best bit - I loved the atmosphere. No stuffy reception area, a cosy feeling bar/cafe area with plenty of comfortable seating. I sat there most nights. Buffet style breakfast was also served in that same area from 6.30 to 10.30, with plenty of choice for everyone. The staff were amazing.

I would have liked a toilet brush in my room!

The team here are incredibly helpful where and when they are able to. Providing an extra pillow as I have spinal issues, and a room at the back to have a quieter night. The cafe does a brilliant sausage and bacon sandwich and hot chocolate. The team here do amazingly well given the limited catering facilities provided to them. The housekeeping team do a fantastic job. Free unlimited parking for blue badge holders is on Arley Street.

This is no reflection on the hotel or it's colleagues and is outside of it's control but some guests smoke cannabis either at the entrance or in their rooms. The smell does only linger for a short period of time.

I asked for a quiet room and with it being new years eve was not expecting it to be a possibility but completely surprised when I arrived and it had already been sorted out and it was very quiet just what I needed. The reception area was open, spacious and colourful with food and drink available.

The price seemed excessive for a budget hotel at £77 a night, when other more spacious hotels were £54 but we're full on the nights I wanted. However probably one of the most welcoming hotels I've stayed at so far. The location is not ideal for further travel, with having only bus routes nearby so a car or taxi would be an advantage for this location.

A few minutes walk from the shops (around 7 minutes) and most restaurants in West Street or city centre are a little further. The reception is a lovely open space that includes a relaxing lounge where breakfast is served too (I did not have breakfast) but the lounge seems warm and cosy every time I walked in, there were people connected to laptops and enjoying coffees or drinks. I spoke to a few members of staff at the check in/ out and all were lovely, friendly and professional. I cannot fault the place: a good value for money, central location ( though some found it inconvenient) comfy bed, a nice shower ( I always liked a powerful shower). As a solo traveler, my double room was a good size, but for a couple U think the room is not spacious enough. A good value for money though alongside the positive features I mentioned.

I would have liked a room with a window that I can open but I was told all rooms’ windows do not. Even in the rain, I like some fresh air into the room. I did think the room could do with some airflow as I thought the towels were a bit damp and the room did not smell that fresh. Apart from these little details, everything else was great. For the price available, I still recommend this place. The lovely members of staff added a lot to the charm of the place.

This is one of the nicest budget hotels I've ever stayed in. I was just in Sheffield for one night, seeing a concert with a friend, so we didn't want anything fancy, just a bed for the night. But we loved how clean and modern it was, especially the reception and bar area. And the breakfast buffet for just an extra £10 per person, was especially lovely with the kind of wide-ranging food you would get in a European city. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower was powerful and warm. Would definitely stay there again.

It was a bit understaffed when we arrived and we had to wait a while for someone to check us in. And we would've loved to try the cocktails in the bar, but they finished serving them at 9.30pm before we were back from the concert. We'd booked a triple room as we were expecting another friend to stay who ended up not being able to make it, but the room was very tiny, so it would've been a squeeze to get 3 adults in. The room was more suitable for 2 adults and a child. But those are only three very minor things.

I liked the whole atmosphere throughout my stay from the staff and the property itself. Although we couldn't afford it ourselves the breakfast buffet looked absolutely amazing. From the layout to the.pressentation to even the staff serving. All in all an outstanding stay

I didn't like how this was card only property. Alternatively I totally understand the concept and do see both good and bad fa in both debates it was an inconvenience to our stay on this occasion
