The location was very good for where we wanted to be. Unfortunately we were unable to have an evening meal as we arrived Sunday after 6pm and meals were only served to 5pm on a Sunday. However when we checked in we were asked if we needed anything for the room. The room was small but well furnished and we found the bed to be comfortable. All furnishings were modern including the bathroom. The breakfast menu was very good with plenty of options available and the presentation and quality of the food was excellent. We would like to return again to stay and enjoy an evening meal.

The room was spacious, well-equipped and nicely decorated. It was also extremely clean (!) and there was a daily cleaning service. The bed was really comfy and it was very quiet. We especially enjoyed the breakfast which was made to order. The whole team was super friendly. The Bulls Head is located in a quiet village and there is free parking available. If you want to have dinner or a good wine or beer in the evening you can just head down to the restaurant which is also very good. We stayed for six nights and enjoyed our stay a lot. Thanks to the whole team and hope to see you soon again!

We had an amazing stay at this lovely pub, very welcoming & full of character. The rooms were well appointed, very warm & comfortable beds. The food was absolutely delicious, we treated ourselves to the Taster Menu, which was quite the experience! The food was delicious, it was hard to chose a favourite! Our waiter was very attentive and explained each course in detail. The ambiance was perfect for a special evening out, followed by a chance to relax in the bar area & time to play cards.

It is hard to find any fault, the only thing would be the breakfast timings are quite late, 9:30am onwards, but we were accommodated with an earlier sitting, which we appreciated.

Myself and my partner stayed for one night in the king room with copper bath as we were going to a wedding nearby. It was a fabulous find! Everything was spotless, comfy and relaxing. Mark was lovely and went above and beyond to make sure my partner’s breakfast was tailored to his dietary requirements (even though we said he didn’t have to) and we were super grateful for this. What a star! We would 100% come back again for a couple of nights and go on some nice walks nearby. Thank you so much to all the staff.

The staff were ALL exceptionally friendly and the food was excellent. Rooms were very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Even when we asked for additional chairs and plates for a takeaway (the restaurant was fully booked) the staff were happy to bring the items to our room.

The drinks were a little pricey i.e. £47 for a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc - but it was a lovely bottle of wine.

Everything was immaculately clean in the room. And the bed was amazingly comfortable, me and my best friend had the best night sleep we'd ever had away from home! There were delicious handmade shortbread as well as a high grade coffee options. The deep copper bath was absolute heaven. The food at Bulls Head was absolutely incredible and well worth the price if you choose to eat here for dinner. The breakfast was also very tasty with a good variety of options. It is very convenient for a visit to Chatworth House. I should also say that although the pictures do not show a door between the bedroom and the bathroom, we were releaved to find there is one on arrival.

Beautiful location in the Peak District, close to Chatsworth House, perfect for exploring the area. We were greeted warmly by staff when we arrived and shown to our rooms (even though it was before formal check in time). We dined in the award winning restaurant, the food was sublime, service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Difficult to find anything that we didn't like!

We had a really very pleasant stay here. The room was very cute and cosy, the bathroom was lovely and extremely modern and both room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The breakfast in the morning was also amazing. The hotel is in a great location for Chatsworth house and Bakewell. Overall very happy with our stay.

The only very minor criticism would be that there was something on the ceiling giving off a green light which was a massive shame as the room would have been pitch black at night otherwise but its minor as the stay was very nice.

Well located for Chatsworth House. Room small but high spec. Staff friendly and supportive. Excellent evening meal but menu limited after 18.30 - after when a la carte only.

Improvements to think about: Clothes pegs on room door to help lack of space. Route to dining room entails a step, guaranteed to trip evening after staff warning us!) in dark - probably needs a yellow line on it. Had not taken on board only a la carte menu after 18.30 so limited choice - btu meal really was excellent.

The breakfast and service was great. We had a meal booked for the first night and wow, Mark, who was the patron/chef what an amazing experience.

Check out, we were charged for the breakfasts but our room when booked included breakfast. The venue saw we needed to pay for the breakfast which isn't great. Eventually we did not pay for the breakfasts.
