The stay was great. Perfect location for me, comfortable bed, spacious room, very good breakfast. Almost everything was good.

The check-in procedure takes unreasonably long (and it's not just me - I saw long lines waiting at the reception). Even with the Booking.com booking and fully paid in advance, it took about 15 mins. I forgot to use the online check-in, maybe it would have saved some time... Also some strange design/ergonomic solutions in the otherwise perfect room: - no shelves to put clothes/things on, just hangers. I had to keep my stuff in the suitcase - hooks for towels are in the other end of the spacious bathroom, and none to keep towels at arms-length from the shower.. These are not major things, of course, but still a little annoying :)

Room was big and comfortable. Loved the big windows. Bath was great. Breakfast was amazing with lots of different choices. My baby boy had a nice and comfy cot. He had the best sleep he's ever had.

Room was very hot. Every time we left the room and took the key card the room got really hot as the air-conditioning wasn't working then. On the day we were leaving we noticed the cart with new towels and the rest of the stuff and we realised our tea and coffee wasn't what it should have been and all 3 days we never had any milk left by the staff. We probably should have asked previously but still think that should have been topped up at the check-in.

Very good location for us as we arrived by bus to Riga Coach Station, just few hundred meters. Also hotel is very near to Riga Old Town. Breakfast was good, room was nice with interesting view. Also we went to Spa/sauna and it had good saunas and pools.

Very minor thing about Spa/sauna. We thought visit to Spa/sauna is included to room price, but it was not. Maybe it was written to description, maybe not. Spa/saunas were good though and worth even the extra price.

It was clean, in a great location to go to the central market, freedom monument etc. we stayed in 802, which is a suite and on the top floor. Worth it for the view, and space! the restaurant does a great burger and cocktail. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. We did not catch the name of the receptionist that helped us (older lady, short blonde hair) but she is amazing. Helped us organise trips, and anything we needed.

It’s not the most family friendly due to the amount of people staying to drink cheaply nearby. So it was quite loud throughout the night. Lots of local bars to cheaply drink seems to attract people. The travel cot you can rent for free is not great for following safe sleeping guidelines as they’ve replaced the hard mattress with thick soft one - which is great comfort wise but not great for safety.

Our stay was great, it is a hotel at a good ratio for value and money. The location is great, in old town, walking distance to everything you want to see and eat. The bus from the airport leaves you across from the hotel, but they offer you a shuttle service. Breakfast options are amazing, they even offer you sparkling wine, some things (like salads) changed everyday and they have a nice dessert spread. We had included the spa - which you have to prebook on a like they provide to you, but it was a nice treat. The spa does not have a swimming pool, but a leisure pool with massage beds, a jacuzzi, a dry sauna and a steam bath. We had bathrobes in our rooms and they give you towels at the spa; a nice touch is thst you have a free water dispenser there. And everything was exceptionally clean, I liked that they only make the room if you ask and change the towels when asked, so the resources do not get wasted - I really prefer this way.

If I have to say something, please provide some softer pillows.

The room was remarkable, spacious and well appointed. It had black out curtains so I could sleep undisturbed by outside light. The bed was super comfortable, it truly was heavenly. The breakfast was superb! The location perfect so many activities nearby.

I had asked for an early check in because I arrived from two flights, very long passages, and I got in even later than I originally thought. I got in at 12:30 pm, my room wasn't ready until after 3 pm. The spa was being renovated so I had to walk over to the sister hotel for the spa treatment. I had to leave very early to catch a train and asked the morning staff if they could arrange one, as I had to carry a very large suitcase, and the person was not really helpful at all.

Excellent location, remarkably central and outside the airport bus stop (bus 22, €1.8). Staff were polite and helpful. We had a superior room with lots of windows but the view was rather sad (nothing the hotel could do about). Room was very clean, comfortable well kitted and spacious. Issues: light at entrance was broken (took two days to fix), card reader was falling apart... Felt a bit not looked after. Also the single beds were extremely small. Finally, the shower temperature wasn't very hot late in the night. Breakfast was really good but some more vegetarian options (eg vegetarian sausages) would be better. Really good though. Spa wasn't included but really good. Small and intimate but kids weren't allowed which was great. Best to avoid the weekend

We have had a lovely 5 night staying one of the 8th floor rooms which had a fabulous view. Right from the start our experience was positive. The reception area was so clean and had the most beautiful smell. The staff were all very friendly and we relieved a warm welcome. The room was also very clean and spacious. There were lovely views from our window. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The spa was lovely and warm, we attended every day of our stay, in the evening it was loud with children and not so relaxing however the afternoon slots were much quieter and very relaxing, a lovely mid day warm up with exploring either side. The breakfast was fabulous, they even had a separate gluten free table which I was very excited about! There were loads of choices including hot and cold options. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had a really lovely stay and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Riga after having such a great experience.

Room was very hot in the evening so we slept with the window open. Air conditioning would have been perfect.

Hotel was in an excellent location just on the edge of the old town, 5 minutes walk to shopping, bars and places to eat. Room was very warm and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. We had use of the spa facilities included in our price which we used on one occasion- this was use of the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and small pool - we enjoyed this, was lovely after a day walking outside in the freezing cold! Bathrobes are supplied. We didn’t have any treatments, so can’t comment on that aspect. Breakfast was excellent with a very varied selection to suit all nationalities, plenty of hot and cold choices. All the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, Inga in particular ensuring we had a fast smooth check in - thank you for that! 😊 Overall if we came to Riga again we would definitely stay here again. We got the bus from the airport to the hotel, for 4 of us it was 6 euros- the hotel was a 5/10 min walk away - going back the hotel booked us a taxi which cost £25 euros for a minibus for 4. From airport to hotel is around 25/30 mins away. We were there for the Xmas market which was busy and compact but very jolly and exactly what we hoped it would be! Would definitely recommend Riga and the hotel as a weekend away 😊

Tea and coffee making facilities in the room but no little cartons of milk, so had to go to the breakfast room and bring some back! Our room was on the 6th floor but had a full length door that opened straight to outside without warnings or any kind of safety rail - gave me nightmares thinking about a child being able to open it!! Some kind of safety notice is needed here for sure!

I liked how welcoming staff was and very helpful. The breakfast was great. It has beautiful views over the city. Amazing location right in downtown but very peaceful side of it.

Last time we stayed in Wellton was 5 years ago and the rooms were in better condition. Spa unfortunately doesn’t meet the standards- hot tub with cold water, steam room barely has any steam and in the main pool jets didn’t work - very disappointing. The rooms need little touch up, refresh bathrooms and hair dryer. If you want some peace request room looking into downtown area not train station.
