This was my favouurite hotel of our six week trip. Our room was large with the only balcony in the whole property. We overlooked a square with musicians that played till midnight (this may bother some people but the music was amazing). The bathroom was big with stone walls making it really unique. The breakfast was great but not a buffet and therefore a little more limiting in choices. This hotel is in the old town, within the old town walls so you have to park your car about a 10 minute walk away.

The room was most spacious, with a desk and chair, living area with two arm chairs and coffee table, and a large comfortable bed. Great closets. Everything was spotless. The bathroom had marble walls and floor, giving it that old time glam. It was spacious also. I had a lovely view out of the windows over the street below, but did not get any street noise. The restaurant is excellent; and the breakfast was superb. Air con was great. So was the elevator. The hotel provides a special parking pass for a lot that is just outside the old town walls. The whole process of parking and walking to the hotel was very easy. Finally, the staff were so attentive and helpful. Marjiana (sp?) at the front desk helped me to figure out the best way to leave town, which border crossing to use, and what road to use to drive towards Mostar.

Big, spacious and comfortable rooms, with an excellent shower. The location could not have been better, right in the heart of the old town with gorgeous views out to the mountains and fort.

A couple of the waiters at Breakfast time were not so friendly and it felt they didn’t want to be there. Overall the service was good but just felt they let it down. I did find this quite common in Montenegro though so not unique to the hotel. The duvet was too small for the bed. There is quite a bit of noise from the restaurants in the square at night which didn’t bother us, but just something to be aware of…..much like the bells that start ringing from 6am!

It’s a luxurious property right in the old town. It’s a truely magical place to wake up in. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent.

There were some odd design choices. I don’t understand why the twin beds are positioned so closely together. Surely people booking twins would prefer a bit more space from each other, and the rooms are big enough. Also, I’m not a fan of the frosted doors to the bathroom; a solid door with a solid fit would provide more privacy. But these are small criticisms for what is a very good hotel.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location was excellent, easy to find and well placed inside the old town. The attached restaurant is very nice and the inclusion of breakfast was generous. Has a lift which is a bonus in a town like this. We had a nice view of the bay.

TV connection wasn’t great…we had two rooms and both TVs didnt work at first. One was fixed and the other wasn’t. I also noticed the heated towel rail in my room didnt work Both not deal breakers.

The location was great. Facilities are beautiful. Very convenient to have parking and breakfast included

Staff is not very friendly. They don’t greet you upon returning to your hotel, I found them to be a bit cold. . The food servers will let you sit for 10-15 minutes before approaching your table although they will walk back and forth numerous times. For the price point service should be top notch. It wasn’t.

Great location within the old town. Well appointed large room, the only one with a balcony facing the sea (ask for the Thita room). Good patio restaurant.

Parking is scarce outside the walls and we had to carry our bags for quite a distance

Excellent location. Got a room upgrade to a junior suite which was incredible. Very spacious, amazing shower. Comfortable massive bed. Decent included breakfast which we ate outside in the square.

Bit of difficulty with the parking. We chose the hotel solely based on parking provisions as we read it is difficult to park in Kotor but the staff told us it wasn’t available on the day we arrived. They ended up giving free parking and kindly providing staff and a trolley to help carry our luggage but only after a lot of insistence.

Medieval style HUGE room upgraded with a modern interior at the top floor , all the hotel amenities , a breath-taking view of the Bay of Kotor and Kotor Old Town , delicious breakfast and very polite and helpful staff 😊 Would definitely be staying here again

Exceptional hotel in a historical building in one of Kotor's most charming squares. The building itself, the interior decoration, and the location in the heart of the old town, restaurants, squares and shops make staying in this hotel simply out of this world. Our room was perfect and had a spectacular view of the bay. It was the suite at the 3rd floor  beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and spacious. The same for the bathroom, which was well-equipped and very spacious. Everything was spotless. Excellent breakfast options and delicious food. The team was extremely attentive and went above and beyond to assist and satisfy. Great customer service. Kristina at the front desk, in particular, made our stay memorable and we thank her for her kind attention, assistance and excellent customer service. We hope to return one day, and we highly recommend staying at Astoria Kotor for unforgettable moments.
