I was quite worried after reading the negative comments. But everything was fine, check in within 5 minutes after calling. The room equipment is older, but everything was clean. There was a working kettle in the room. So I would stay here again... The neighborhood of the accommodation, the old town is absolutely amazing

The only problem that the accommodation informs about is the noise from the bar next to the accommodation, it is really loud until 1 am. I don't care about small things like a broken TV...

Great location. Nice light room with good views and air con. Comfortable bed.

Access staircase is a bit narrow but it is in an old building. It us next to a noisy club but windows are double glazed. Might not be ideal if you are older and infirm though it was fine for me (I am 69). Finding it was a bit difficult because old Kotor is a maze.

Guesthouse Athos feels like an oasis in the middle of Kotor – I will never stay anywhere else when I visit again! The room was cozy and comfortable, and the views from the room could not be beat (see photo). It’s in a fantastic location, just a few steps from the more bustling/touristy parts of Kotor but it feels removed and tucked away in a way that’s very nice for travelers. As others have mentioned, you can hear music from the bar next door in the evening but with earplugs I could not hear a sound. The steps leading up to the rooms are a bit steep, but the check in staff was very lovey and carried up my bags.

The place was clean, comfortable, and really well located! The owner is very nice and was really kind to us about arriving a bit early! The view of the fortress from the room was incredible and we loved waking up to it each morning. The shower was great and the bed was comfortable.

We really loved our stay so these aren't things we disliked but they are good to know - 1) there is a bar beside the room that plays loud music until late. However they were really good at shutting it off promptly and ensuring no people were loud after closing time. We actually enjoyed some beers at this place so it wasnt a problem for us but maybe for someone who wants a quieter stay. 2) the stairs might be difficult for some to use if they have mobility issues. Again we had an amazing stay, would 100% for anyone travelling through Kotor looking for a central location !

Incredible location, right in the heart of Old Town, just minutes walk from the bus station and port. The restaurant downstairs is great and staff were super friendly. Comfortable air conditioned room.

The shower didn’t have a screen/curtain which caused the bathroom to flood. The automatic sensor light was frustrating as it sometimes turned on while we were in bed. Music from the bars below is very noisy - bring ear plugs and an eye mask.

great location, nicely presented accommodation. Most of the staff were friendly and responsive to our requests.

the bar next door was extremely loud and we couldn't sleep - we had a 7 am tour the next day, so we were pretty tired the whole time and unable to fully enjoy it. There was a smell of sewage coming out of the bathroom.

The owner is a wonderful host. The initial room that was assigned to me was a nightmare and uninhabitable. He kindly moved me to another great flat.

Great location! The room had everything needed. Perfect for a short stay in Kotor.

Not recommended if you are looking for a quite place. The bar downstairs was extremely loud until 1 am. And the automatic lights in the bathroom were pretty annoying. It was impossible to use the toilet without waking up the other person in the room.

Prime Location. Music from neighbor pub is super loud at night. But some compromises are needed. It's a good value for the money. It was clean, very challenging stairs specially if u have a big suit case. Mission impossible. But overall we enjoyed.

Everything was as expected, so we have nothing to complain about.

Great location in the middle of the old town ! Sweet room with great AC which saved us from the heat Would happily stay again !

The stairs are quite steep and narrow - which may be an issue for some less nimble people The music from the bar across wouldn’t impress a light sleeper but didn’t necessarily bother us :)
