Great location, awesome staff and exceptional breakfast

Size of the room was too small, noise from the street

Cozy hotel in the very center of the city. Excellent staff both in the hotel itself and in the hotel restaurant.

We were looking for a hotel with a safe in the room. The website states that there is a safe. However, it is not in the room: you can leave valuables under the control of the staff. This is not a big problem, but the information on the Booking website is not entirely true. The bed was not very comfortable and the air conditioning suddenly stopped working during the night. This is a small problem, but a definite inconvenience.

The location was perfect just off one of the most beautiful squares in Kotor. We received a very warm welcome and the staff made our room available a couple of hours before check-in, as we arrived early in the morning. The room was decorated in a lovely style and was immaculately clean, with lots of space and even a separate single bedroom we could use as a dressing room. The breakfast consisted of a good range of options and was of a high quality, as was the service from the serving staff. We ate in the hotel for our first evening meal, and this was excellent too.

There is some noise in the evening from adjacent bars and restaurants, but everything goes quiet at the 1am cut-off time, so really not a problem for us.

This was a lovely hotel and the people were very friendly - breakfast was delicious.

The location of the hotel was a bit disappointing. Kotor is generally quite noisy as narrow streets make the sound travel. The area around the hotel was particularly loud at night as a nightclub and bar next door - loud music with a lot of bass until 1am - we didn’t sleep well at this hotel

in the heart of old town the staff are very helpful, they work to fulfill every request in the best way possible the rooms are comfortable the air conditioners work very well the bathroom is perfect in every way the breakfast is very nice and sufficient if needed there is a private and free parking service 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel, they give you a code for the door

to tell the truth, there was nothing we did not like, although the price seems relatively high compared to other hotels at first, when you consider the breakfast and parking fees, it becomes quite normal

My mum and I loved EVERYTHING about Hotel Monte Cristo. It exceeded our expectations and both staff at reception and breakfast were exceptional. Our favourite was how CLEAN our room and bathroom were. I read this in a review but truly, you could have a meal in the bathroom. That's how clean it was. It smelt fresh, I love the fresh air coming in through the windows, the size of the room was more than enough for two people, adequate essentials provided by the hotel including towels, shampoo and shower gel, shower cap, clean glasses. Mini fridge with drinks and a tea station too. I know it's the standard but the standard of cleanliness is exceptional. My mum had trouble walking up the stairs because she has limited mobility but she would go back to Hotel Monte Cristo in a heart beat. I loved that despite it being a central location, there is a car park for hotel guests about 5 minutes walk to the Hotel. Finally, while we walked around old town Kotor, we went back to use the toilets and staff were still more than happy to let us in which was a plus. I would stay here again. The price was reasonable as well and worth it too. Comfy beds as well and I will always support small businesses that more than exceed one's expectations just like this hotel did for us. We were staying at another 5 star hotel but made a trip to Kotor and last minute decided to stay one night there and despite our 5 star hotel being clean, Hotel Monte Cristo is significantly smaller but exceptionally clean! Keep up the good work and we hope that many more guests have a great experience staying here just as we did.

Only thing was the music from next door but it also was like music playing for us as well. The good thing was that the music next door did not play past midnight and the hotel windows shut most of the noise out. No fault to the hotel though as if guests were to leave their windows wide open, it was also a nice vibe with music and fresh air coming into the room :)

The location in the old town of Kotor was nice, the parking space is 5 minutes walking distance, and the rooms were ok. Breakfast restaurant is also quite good.

Would remark two issues: - The hotel is right next to a bar that is incredibly loud starting from the evening and not closing down until 00:00. We stayed with the windows closed, but you could still hear (loudly) the sound from outside. We struggled to sleep at any point before 00:00 due to that. - Maybe it was just our room, but the room was really poor in terms of electrical switches, it was a struggle to find a spot to charge our phones.

The hotel was centrally located next to the maritime museum. Private parking space was provided just cross the bridge near the north gate at Viktor’s Rooms Apt. Easy to reach the hotel from the parking lot - continue on southward from the bridge till the end of the road to turn right then immediately turn left to find the hotel on the right. Take stairs up to the entrance. The hotel has old city charms. The room was very clean and functional. Bed was comfortable. Furnitures, door knobs, faucets, and decorations were of charming antique looks. There was a small refrigerator but was making intermittent noise. The view of the adjacent courtyard from the windows was great. During late afternoon into evening, music could be heard from the neighboring jazz bar but the people noise was very minimal. I think the city-wide quiet time started at 11:00 pm till next morning. While we did not hear street / people noise at all, the sound from just outside our room door was heard without sound proofing- just from the door. The breakfast was excellent and the entire staff were very polite, kind and resourceful.

Everything was incredible. The hotel staff noted that we made the booking for wedding anniversary celebration and greated us with an upgrade and a welcome drink. Also, we asked for a table in the hotel restaurant and they saved a perfect table in the terrace with greate view and atmosphere. The bed was also really confortable. Hotel offers a parking space outside of the walls but close to it, and for that, after checkout they made available a valet that brought us and the bags in a small car so we could skip the 5/10 minutes walk in a hot day.

The hotel was in a great locaton and the staff gracious. Our room was large. The triple family room with a large bedroom and a smaller single. We had a lot of space. Bathroom a little small but had all the items we needed. The breakfast was nice with buffet and made to order items as well. I fun jazz club right next door was fun at night. Evenings in the old town can be a little loud - we found it the same in Dubrovnik. City seems to shut down noise about 11/12 and then silence. a great place to stay for a family.
