The location was great and the room was (small but) cozy.

The male receptionist at the counter did not even greet me when I arrived at the hotel (in the evening of August 30) and spoke to him. He kind of stared at me. I don't experience this often.

The location was perfect. 4 minutes to the train station and walkable to all restaurants and attractions. The bar downstairs was great and the staff were very helpful.

If we really wanted a double bed we would have had to carry our bags up very steep stairs. However we were given the option of a twin room which had a lift to access it. We opted for the twin room.

Great central location for all Bars, Restaurants and Sights. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good choice although the 'hot' food was slightly cold. Room was a good size and we had a great view over the Canal. Large very comfy bed. Safe in room is excellent facility.

Room was not quite as clean as I'd expect. Lots of dirt in the wardrobe at side of safe. Iron board had a leg missing so was unusable. Told staff member but did say we'd manage without but it was never changed. Back of TV remote was missing and batteries dead. No fridge in room. Luggage room was down a very tight stair case in basement with no lift and no assistance. Nothing too major but little things that could do with improvement but would not stop us staying there again.

Great location, close to the station and easily accessible to Amsterdam attractions

No drinks facilities in room, plain decor. But a great stay overall.

Everything Was Perfect from the check in to check out!! Amazing personel!! Room was amazing 😍 Thanks to lovely lady from reception (blonde hair😂) When I opened the window in my room, I had the river literally at my fingertips, wonderful!!!!I recommend it with a clear conscience! The price-quality ratio has been maintained as best as possible. It is also worth adding that the hotel is located literally 10 minutes from the center of Amsterdam!! Is it possible?? YES!!!!! See for yourself that you can spend time in Amsterdam without spending a fortune on a hotel, and you will still feel taken care of! I RECOMMEND!!

Everything was perfect so nothing to complain about! The only thing my husband noticed was the lack of a Smart TV in the room.

The hotel is clean and the breakfast was lovely. You could have continental or cooked. There were sausages, boiled/scrambled eggs, hash browns, beans and mushrooms. The rooms were warm and the beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This Hotel is in the heart of Amsterdam and has a lot of character. The bar is warm and has a nice atmosphere. There is a lift too which is good.

The only negative is we needed to ask for fresh towels and toilet roll and the staff were more than accommodating regarding this. I'm not sure what the protocol is for cleaning rooms, other than that we had an excellent stay.

Very decent place. I booked way ahead of time, it was one of the rare good value place I found. Breakfast was included and it was tasty. Tea, coffee, hot food like scrambled eggs, sausage, mushrooms, baked beans, toast, plus cold food like yogurt, fruit, jam, juice, cold cuts of meat, slice cheese, flaky croissants and cakes!!! Polite and helpful staff. I knew I was going to be cold in the room (there is a heater), the blond lady found me another duvet and a few other extra items I asked for (Dank u wel!!!). You are on the borderline of the Redlight district and the hotel is also a pub, which I did not mind, but it was not rowdy inside. Just a lovely and decent establishment, both the hotel and the pub. P.S. Mickey, the elderly tuxedo cat, is the host and star of the place. I enjoyed his company and taking his pictures!!

You have to be careful of the steep stairs. But this is Amsterdam!!! I use the handrails. And I love how the stairs are lit on the way down to the basement for the restroom, very smart!

The location of the hotel is perfect. When you come to Amsterdam, everywhere you want to go is a few minutes away. The distance between Central Station and the hotel is at most 5 minutes, as is the shopping street. All the food and drink alternatives are around the hotel. Redlight is a few steps away. The farthest, Vondelpark, is 30-35 minutes away if you like walking.

On the downside, there is no hygiene kit in the room (cotton bud, toothbrush paste, etc.). There are also no slippers. The room on the ground floor is very noisy since it is on the entrance and exit floor of the other rooms of the hotel. At least a solution can be found for this. A tea and coffee kettle can be placed in the room.

Location, location, location. 5 minutes walk from the train station, central location for shops, restaurants, bars, tram stops, and also the famous red light area. I would definitely recommend the canal cruises that were literally opposite the back of the hotel. Reception staff were very friendly and we managed to check in early, the pub downstairs is very quirky with lots of character, lovely place for a few drinks after a long day walking before retiring to our room upstairs. Note some rooms at the back have a canal view which would have been nice.

Room decor needed a little updating, but very clean bathroom and comfortable beds. Not so good if you have mobility issues, they do have a lift however some rooms still had 3 or 4 steps so not suitable for everyone.

This is a nice hotel for the price and central location. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The room was clean and it had hot water and a nice view.

No real issues. There could have been better temperature controls, but it was not a real issue with the temperatures during our stay.
