Great location on the Bay with easy access to coffee and restaurants. The pool and surrounds were a bonus

The guest wifi was unsecured and I had to set up a mobile hotspot my Norton VPN could secure. My computer was almost unusable under this configuration The tour buses entering/parking/warming up/leaving the one-way drive-through between the two main accommodation wings and their cargo were annoying - noisy and, one night, I and another guest had to repeatedly ask noisy revellers to please respect others' needs - to no avail. I reported this to hotel management

Great location on the waterfront, close to central shops, restaurants and bay activities. The magnificent view was a joy at breakfast time. Enjoyed the games room and pool. The room was spacious, with good bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. All of our interactions with staff were helpful and friendly.

Almost all of the rooms do not have a bay view. Although the property is part of the Millenium hotel group, the breakfast did not come up to the standard of other properties from the same group … no fresh vegetables, or cheeses … lots of food clearly from cans.

Kitchen only offered basic items- no frying pan for example only 2 smaller pots Toilet seat needed replacing and bathtub had green grim Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and we all had to evacuate the hotel until fire trucks arrived (it was a faulty alarm I think). It was very scary for the little ones and we were out in the cold at 4am for at least 30 mins. No apology or gesture of compensation for inconvenience was offered by the hotel - small reduction in price or a free breakfast would have gone a long way…

Location is fantastic - right in the heart of town and meant we could park our vehicle for the weekend and not worry about driving anywhere. We cooked breakfast for both mornings in our room - the facilities were awesome and allowed for us to invite our friends from the room downstairs up for breakfast.. The room is beautiful and has stunning views. We always stay in the suite room simpy for the view and the spa bath. The bed was ridicously comfortable.

Unfortunately our water was luke warm on the second morning so we couldnt shower or bath. I had to boil the jug for the dishes.

We enjoyed this place, great location in regards to walking to town. All kinds of meal options in this little hidden secret tourist town. We had the included morning buffet, they set a excellent variety of breakfast foods. Killer dining room. Our room was everything we needed it to be, comfortable, lots of hot water, many cable station on the TV. The ferry to Russell is 1 block away. Would absolutely return. My wife like the place!

The only "well crap" is a serious storm was happening, rain gear was a must. So we put the TV to the test. Lots of programing.

The location is fantastic, with the hotel being on the opposite side of the road to the beach, and a minute walk from the dock, meaning that if you want to go to Russell, for example, you can do. The size of the room was exceptional, and was more like an apartment. The bath was very soothing. The laundry for guests was also quick and easy to use, although it is out in the open, so if someone was inclined, they could steal your clothes. Finally, the staff member was very friendly. I didn't catch his name, but he did reveal that he is fairly new, having just moved up from Queenstown.

The only real issue is that, being right next to a main road, and without soundproofed windows, it would be easy to get woken up by passing traffic, and the other people staying at the hotel not appreciating others might be asleep. I also don't feel that the advertisement of it being soundproofed should really apply as there was no evidence to support that it is. I would hear the people in the room above me stomping about, something that wouldn't be the case if it was soundproofed.

A superb modern apartment - spacious, clean, and well equipped. Very comfy bed and spacious bathroom. Large balcony overlooking the ocean with comfy seating - but unfortunately didn't get to use it or the pool due to the wet and windy weather! Apartment has its own parking spot in garage underneath with lift access which was very convenient. A few minutes walk from the harbour and a great choice of restaurants. We will certainly stay here again when we return in hopefully better weather.

This is great stay specially with kids. It's got a games room and two swimming pools overlooking the front beach. The Restaurants, shops and peer is with in walking distance. A big up for housekeeping and the beds are a bliss to sleep on. I love the fact that our room has a communal basin (kitchen and bathroom Basin) outside the bathroom and that the toilette is separate from our bathroom which incl a shower and a bath. Reception and night staff is always available and very helpful will surely visit again when exploring the Bay of Islands.

The fact that outside bins are limited. But then again it's just to keep the area clean and tidy.

Excellent location and great facilities. Staff were always friendly and helpful, and very accommodating. Pool area is beautiful and a great place to sit with a drink and unwind after the day. Room was a great size and the bed was comfy. Loved that there were laundry facilities, makes a longer stay so much easier.

We were there for an extended stay and the quality of the room servicing varied from day to day. Sometimes the room servicing was excellent, but at other times - the beds weren't made properly, rubbish bins not emptied, rubbish left on the floor that had fallen out when they were tipping the bin, some days they took the towels and didn't replace them. Seemed like they forgot to finish off. But they were fully booked and under a bit of pressure.

Everything was easy to find due to excellent signage around the complex. The swimming pool and gamesarea was fabulous. There was lots of parking right by our unit which made life easier. Room service was also excellent.

Really the only thing we can think of is that there was a smokers disposal tray right outside the door to the corridor close to our room and the smell of cigarette smoke went all through the corridor but thankfully not into our room.
