First and foremost, the location of this property was excellent. From its proximity to the bus stop that brings you in and out from the airport, to its easy walking distance to town and all the amenities. No walking up any hilly streets to get to property AND you get an amazing view from the roof top terrace. My first impression of the property was the lovely fragrance upon walking in to reception, the modern look and cleanliness of the place - and that was just at reception! My room was modern, comfortable and very clean and whilst it was small, it was certainly perfect for a solo traveller like me. It had everything I required and Queenstown, being a place full of things to do, I was only in my room to change and rest! Whilst my room did not have a kitchen, every floor is equipped with a complimentary warm drinks machine and cold water machine which was an extremely great idea. There are also paid food vending machines as a backup which was most helpful when I was feeling slightly under the weather one night. As mentioned earlier, the roof top terrace is a real bonus, especially when staying in a room that doesn’t have a view, like my room didn’t. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and as a solo female traveller, I always felt safe coming and going at different parts of the day and night.

There is nothing I didn’t like about the property.

I enjoyed almost everything about our stay at Mi-Pad. There was one minor inconvenience and one slightly bigger one. The room is sound proofed except the door, so you can't hear the noise from outside (including the road works) but you can hear when other guests come and go (talking and doors slamming). It is what it is, but your guests would LOVE their stay if you sound proofed your doors. The other inconvenience was you turn your hot water off during the night. I had to get up early at 5am on one of the days and the hot water only came on around 5.40am. There are plenty of people that wake up at 5am for various reasons including business and this is a bit of an issue. That being said the room was clean and we had a great view! The staff were friendly and approachable,  especially your cleaning staff - I had a chat with one of the ladies and she was lovely. The location is perfect, especially if walking around. There's AC and heating in the room which was great cause it gets really cold. I look forward to staying at Mi-Pad again (:

You are located in an excellent spot to reach everything tourist and very close to the bus line. We appreciated that immensely. The staff was helpful and very professional. I do recommend that some knowledge about bus lines and their destinations by the staff would be appreciated to tourists. Your rooms are very modern and yells simplicity. I'm sure your younger clients find it comfortable. We found the panel of lights unnecessary and it took us awhile to decider how to keep the bathroom light off while sleeping. Also the bed was slightly too firm, as were the pillows. Thank you for a nice experience.

Well run hotel. Staff were extremely helpful. Very modern, clean, organised. View on the rooftop is amazing. It operates a bit differently to regular hotels. For example, there isn’t a little fridge in the room, but instead you can give your cold items (beer and wine etc) to the staff to store in the guests fridge which they label your items and man it. You have access to get it 24hrs a day. Also they can give you a kettle to make your own tea/coffee in your room if you don’t want to use their communal free vending machine.

I would have like a proper coffee cup instead of a paper cup. Apart from that, the hotel is perfect.

Mi-Pad is situated at the end of a residential area, where the commercial area begins. Overall, it’s a decent location. The facilities are clean, and complimentary coffee is available from a vending machine. There’s a rooftop area where you can enjoy watching the sunset or sunrise from a distance. Although the rooms are small, they are sufficient for two people. Our room could get quite warm, but it cooled down nicely at night. No parking is available, but a car isn’t necessary if you plan to stay around the area—most restaurants close by 9:00 PM, and dine-in service ends at 8:30 PM. The hotel does not offer food except for a vending machine, and you can borrow a kettle, but there is no microwave. The staff were terrific. Everyone seems to be very helpful.

The lighting system is a bit complicated at first, but you eventually learn to operate it through the app on your phone. I would have preferred traditional on/off light switches. I wish the room was a little bigger and the windows would open.

Loved 24/7 reception; I like having a human at the front desk instead of pure digital check-in. This eases my mind in case there is a problem. The room was very clean, and had nice amenities. Great location--less than 5 minutes walk to the CBD, a grocery store, and the meeting points for various booked activities/adventures. There is a laundromat across the street (in case the guest laundry machines are tied up).

No refrigerator in the room. The motion sensor in the bathroom area was finicky--the light kept shutting off. In theory, you could set the bathroom light to stay on --that worked once from the light switch by the door. It did not work from the light switch by the bed. There was enough ambient light that this was not a major problem.

Vending machine was amazing. It was very convenient to get a drink whenever we wanted. We loved the hot chocolate especially when it was cold. The staff were especially friendly, approachable, kind, and helpful. Special mentions to Gordon, Dani, and another Singaporean friend whom we unfortunately did not get his name. They shared advice and recommendations for our trip that thoroughly enjoyed.

Navigating the heating was confusing and difficult to control. It took us a while to learn the system and by the end of the trip we still werent if we were using it correctly. Our key cards also kept deactivating on its own. We had to get them replaced 3 times during our 5 day stay.

What made all of this even more special was your gentle conversation and your unique sense of humor, which added an atmosphere of joy and comfort to the trip. You are truly a model of refined conduct and high professionalism, and I am deeply grateful to you. Thank you once again for all the effort and attention you put in. Modern, clean, fresh room with modern touches like Bluetooth amenity controls, led lighting & multiple phone charging stations. Smallish but adequate for a few nights & good value for money. Room had fridge, cups but no kettle/toaster/microwave etc. Hot drinks are provided free from vending machines. Two great indoor/outdoor social areas to sit & enjoy a drink or takeaway meal.

Whilst the room had it's own toilet, shower and vanity, it's a quirky weird setup. The shower opens directly to the room & the vanity is part of the main living area. The toilet is very close to the bed with a semi see-through, partial sliding door so most of your partner's business is seen, smelt & heard. Fine if you are ok with that but not recommended for friends sharing. There was no facilities to heat or prepare food & no plates, cutlery etc & no shared kitchen on site so only suits people prepared to eat out or get takeaway

We really loved our stay here! The rooftop terrace with views of the mountains, the vending machines with free hot drinks on every floor, the light system in the rooms, the proximity to everything, and so much more! Everything was super clean and modern-looking. Millie at reception was lovely and ended up letting us check in early, which was so handy after waking up super early that day. The aircon worked well. We would absolutely stay here again!

Although the bed was really comfortable, ours would make really loud squeaky noises anytime we would move in the slightest. It wasn’t a massive deal for us, but the sound woke us up once or twice.
