Good views. CBD only 5 minutes walk, although down a hill. Layout of unit was good. Electric blankets on the beds, and the staff offered clean towels and tea/coffee topups each day. Sufficient on site parking, unless all the units are taken and each has a car. Internet speed was sufficient for Youtube videos, but perhaps not for streaming movies (but I didn't try that and so I'm not sure.)

Fan heater in bathroom did not work and there was no extractor fan therefore there was a lot of condensation after a shower. (However, the bathroom had a door and so can be shut off from the rest of the unit to allow the window to be opened to vent the condensation. This made the bathroom cold, however.)

WE got lucky with a great clean upstairs room with a view. The location was excellent, pretty close to town with a bit of a hill to climb. We eventually found the best way to walk home that wasn't so taxing! great that we managed to get a carpark.

Limited TV channels ( we couldn't get TV1 and 2 plus Duke and some others from memory) which meant we couldnt watch our fav programmes, Take your notebook or ipad and use the wi fi to watch your fav programmes.

Great little stay! Especially for a solo traveller, near quite a few bus stops. Definitely would recommend upgrading to a balcony room! Rooms were very nice and spacious. Also was cleaned and top back up with little hot chocolate and bathroom supplies. Room was always nice and warm. Great place to stay about a 4 - 5 min walk down the hill into town or take the Queenstown garden way into town!

The room I stayed in was next to the washer and dryer. So a lot of random loud noises. But didn’t bother me that much.

Really nice man on reception. Very helpful and accommodating. Nothing was a problem. Location is perfect for walking into town and leaving the car parked up. Reasonable price too by normal Queenstown rates, especially as we could see the Gondola and the section of Lake Wakatipu where the Earnslaw berhs from the lounge window. Not expansive view but still made us feel like we were close to the action. Very quiet at night as well.

Location is perfect with great views of Lake Wakatipu, it is up a steep hill though from town. A great place to unwind with ample facilities. Reception staff were very kind and approachable.

The toilet space was very small and tight but still okay. Our room was cleaned every 2 days but in our 7night stay, our sheets were not washed once nor was the bed made…a bit disappointing. Lots of heating options but unfortunately only one small fan for the hotter weather we had. Room got quite stuffy.

Great location and comfortable place to stay. Cornelius, the manager, provided excellent customer service and was warm and friendly and willing to assist. It is an ideal spot to stay - an easy walk trip into town. The amenities and rooms were extremely clean and tidy. We would be very happy to return. I would highly recommend Caples Court to all travellers looking for cost effective accommodation

Location is superb being a short walk to town. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The bed was extra comfy and the bathroom whilst small was quite serviceable. The location was also quiet, and we slept well. There is a microwave in the room however not much bench space. Excellent views of the mountains from the room balcony as well. The manager let us park right out front of the property during our stay as the carpark underneath is a little tight for a medium size SUV - Mazda CX-5.

The aforementioned parking underneath is only good for a small car. The alleged kitchen area is very small so don't plan on cooking too much - heating up something in the microwave is workable though. The stairs up to the room have a deteriorating covering however I understand this is being replaced.

Only 1 small heater in room to do both the lounge and separate bedroom. Car parking available on site but it's under the units and I had bikes on roof. They run the motels next door as well so was able to park there but couldn't see car and bikes from my motel

What i love with this place are the people.. Kudos to cornelius.. Got the chance to chat with him.. He is so considerate..and kind! We got 3 rooms, stayed there last 10th of april until on the 16th. He even allowed me to stay there late on our last day. My wedding in queenstown really made so special because my family stayed in a nice accomodation. THANKS caples! REDMUND

Maybe they forgot to clean the room every 2 days. Need to remind them to change the linen, pick up the rubbish and replenish the coffee and stuff.. But the rest is ok.

After a disappointing start to our holiday with our flight was cancelled and we lost a day. The staff were so accommodating. Location - very close to town ( perched on a hill it is a bit steep, but doable), and great views. The unit was very clean and tidy.The beds were extremely comfortable.

The units are dated. Steps and verandah are old and probably need replacing. Being almost 60yrs, and not really fit, the walk up the hill was a task.
