Amazing location and super friendly and helpful staff. Room served its full purpose. I was in a private double room with a balcony and it was great. Shower was really good also. Always hot water no matter what time. In the weeks prior to our booking our emailed staff confirming it was 2 single beds etc… I always had a reply within a couple of hours which was great service.

Rooms were a little smaller than i thought they looked in the picture, however I got used to the size quick enough. Sometimes corridors were a bit dirty, but it’s fine because our room was really clean.

Nomads Hotel is in a brilliant location for Queenstown, which is an amazing place to visit. Staff were all really helpful, friendly and happy to advise on activities, bars and restaurant. Although a hostel - we stayed in a private room with an ensuite shower / toilet - as probably the oldest couple staying there (50's) - and so a bit more of a budget than younger back packers. Kitchen facilities for those that were using them looked great, as did the communal lounge area. Regular messages about organised trips - so would be great for solo travellers wanting to meet others. Made me wish I was younger and found this place years ago. I would highly recommend - as choice of rooms to suit all types of travel budget, great staff and amazing place to visit.

Only thing I didn't like - was not having longer in Queenstown - amazing place.

Positive: The room was bigger than expected and very clean. Very quite, bed was comfortable, staffs were superb. The key app was new to me and I liked the experience of not needing to have a key with me.

Exhaust fan is too loud, and we can't turn it off, however, when the bathroom door was closed, the noisy wasn't that bad. The window has a decent size but couldn't be open, so the air does not circulate much. And is a bit strange to have to request the staff to turn on /off the AC. We had no problem with the requests, but it feels like we are being controlled.

Whilst it was loud from the neighbouring bars until early in the morning, it was a nice touch that they left earplugs, which worked marvellously. Also, they are transparent in their description of the room and advise, for those who prefer quieter times, that they book their rooms frim Remarkables side. The only disadvantage I may point out is the smell of the smoke coming from the chimneys of the nearby venues.

This was my second stay at Nomads, because of its proximity to lake, shops and bus stops. I was in a four-person dorm with ensuite and a balcony at the front of the building. Outside is party central at night, but with double glazing and air conditioning, everyone in my dorm slept well. Helpful staff, personal bed lights and space in the dorm were other pluses.

In the busy kitchen, I wasn't always sure how clean some teatowels were, as very wet ones could still be out for use. Perhaps a basket could be provided for any that are accidentally dropped on the floor or are saturated and a fresh supply could be in another basket in case the provided ones run low.

Location. Short walking distance to buses, shops, 24hr convenience store, lakefront, food vendors, Skycity Casino, bakeries, cafes, restaurants etc. Cleanliness. Spacious balcony. Sleep comfort. V. g. hot shower water flow. Fridge. Mountain view. Would stay again even though we felt room over priced.

Handbasin plug faulty. Room without facecloths. Housekeeping haphazard eg forgot to replenish milk more than once. Forgot to replace loo paper more than once. Forgot to tidyup bed. Forgot to replenish drink sachets. They need a check list. Reception v. g, friendly and fairly helpful. Overlooked informing us of an important matter which caused a discomfort problem. Also a technical problem. Room without toaster but did have an electric jug. Special microwave space with outlet but mic missing...would have been very handy for cooking and heating food No small indoor table or seating. Used outdoor chairs without any table and placed plates to eat from on our knees. Lighting adequate.

The location of Nomads Queenstown is fantastic, everything is within a short, convenient, walk. The common area is inviting and comfortable with a cosy fire, reading areas, pool table, balcony and dining area. The kitchen is tidy and offers plenty of cooking space for guests, the whole hostel is cleaned several times a day with round the clock friendly staff.

As with many hostels the ongoing repairs of accommodating as many guests mean that on occasion things were out of service (showers) and needed fixing. They were prompt to action these repairs.

Full marks for the location of this accommodation. The rooms were clean and the staff was brilliant. It’s a few steps away from lake Wakatipu and some great restaurants. I have mobility issues and was allocated an accessible room, which was very resourceful. Would highly recommend staying here

It’s on a noisy street and there is noise all night from the partying. But we’re not light sleepers and didn’t mind it. Parking downstairs is expensive, so you will need to park 500m-1 kms away and walk upto the accommodation with great views around

Stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm with ensuite and it was comfy temperature and the bed and linen was pleasant. A bit tight on space in the room and a bit hard to hang up clothes and jackets and towels due to the space, so had to keep my things tidy, but It was a enjoyable stay.

The shower had a dodgy seal on it so it leaked onto the floor a bit, so the small bathroom with the towel was constantly wet, and no benches to put the toiletries. The PowerPoint's could be in a better spot and maybe 1 more for the 6 person room.

Location and kitchen

There are not enough electrical sockets. There are only four in the six-person room, and they are too high on one side of the wall, which is not convenient for charging. There are no sockets in the public lounge area. It does not require much investment to add a curtain to the lower bed, which is convenient for travelers and avoids disturbing others when the bedside lamp is turned on at night.
