Very decently large and clean room for the price. Facilities - good range but we didn’t use all of them to be able to comment (eg ski gear dry room, sauna). Parking available for $25/day and you can come and go (it’s not charged per each time you enter) Breakfast buffet was included in our stay, however it was slightly basic (cereal and toast, bacon and eggs type of hot food, very small fruit selection, and juice/coffee machine) Guest laundry on site, clean and large washers and dryers. Need coins to operate and reception gives free detergent.

We made the mistake of going during peak holiday season, and the door to our room was not soundproof at all, so you’ll hear kids running down the corridor any time of day which gets tedious.

This was reasonable and cost $25 per day. Very easy to complete on your phone. •Value for money: Good value for money in comparison to other accommodation options Continental breakfast: amazing options of both hot foods (pancakes, hash browns, baked beans, mushrooms, eggs, tomatoes etc) and fresh fruit and salad on offer. Coffee,tea and juice options as well. Perfect start to the day to fuel up for a day of exploring.

Nothing, this place was absolutely perfect and will return. I will definitely refer family and friends.

the room was very comfy, the breakfast was nice, the location was very good. The hotel and the room were very clean, the staff were very helpful and accommodating.

the gym was very, very far from anything I would call 'a gym". It is just a small room with few cardio machines. Please don't advertise that you have a gym, or upgrade the facility so it has enough equipment to resemble a proper gym. I would also introduce some variation to the breakfast served, as after a couple of days I had had enough of the English breakfast.

The main lounge area / reception / bar / breakfast open seating - all of this creates a wonderful vibe that I haven’t felt in any other hotel in all these years of my travel. That, clubbed with one of the best staffs of any hotel, was just the needed cherry on the top! Special shoutouts to Paras the duty manager, Sarah, Tami, Yon, and the chefs for being so friendly and helpful always going above and beyond! We had an amazing time, and would love to stay again and meet the same wonderful people. Few more things to note: - it’s a great location - multiple fireplace seatings - gym and sauna are 24/7 and very clean and nice - rooms are quite spacious - car parking is available at a per-day rate - the staff is amazing (=D)

I’d like for it to be a bit less pricey, and also for the breakfast to be until 12pm (but again, don’t we want this for every stay haha)

A clean, modern hotel with very good breakfasts. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and allowed us a late checkout. We really liked the fact that pillows were marked 'firm' or 'soft' so that one could choose.

W simply could not understand why there was no shelf in the bathroom: nowhere to put toothbrushes, razors, sprays, etc. It would take a good tradie 20-30 minutes per bathroom to install these: apparently we were far from being the first people to complain about this. And while the hotel is well located - just ten minutes' walk to the centre of town - older people or those with a disability might find the hill leading up to the hotel a little steep (though you could take a bus or taxi).

Our stay at the IHG was really comfortable, affordable for a family of four and the staff made us feel very welcome not only when we arrived, but throughout our stay. To name a few, Melissa and Tama, as well as the rest of the lovely staff, were exceptional, courteous, and always willing to assist us with anything we needed. The restaurant meals were excellent. The Hot Buffet Breakfast was amazing and consistently delicious. It was constantly filled up. Most importantly, we felt very privileged to have the restaurant staff pack our breakfast for us in the early morning before travelling to Milford Sound. The hotel was always spotlessly clean, owing to the superb housekeeping team. I definitely recommend this hotel to every one of my family and friends.

I could not fault anything wrong with the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. I'd highly recommend it to all of my friends and family. We can't wait to be back.

We loved the staff! Everyone was so nice and lovely. The person (I think their name was Adi) was so helpful and nice at check-in and overall, all staff we passed were incredibly lovely. I had low expectations of the hotel but I was so happy with the location and the facilities as a whole! The room was great with everything we need, super quiet. We used the electric car hire service and found it really easy and useful to use. Incredibly happy with our stay!

The food wasn’t amazing. We ordered nachos one night and we were disappointed. There was barely any cheese, little to none salsa and oddly had cucumbers. For the price they were we weren’t happy with them. It was basically corn chips with a few veg and beans. The pizza is a handy late night snack (we had a late flight) so was a good quick eat. The breakfast was also just ok. I also didn’t realise the bathrooms weren’t real rooms and just glass cubes in the room. I feel like the photos advertised for my room showed this. Still had a great room!

The manageress was amazing! We booked through booking.com who had actually over sold their standard rooms so upon arrival we had no accommodation, this was after we’d realised our original accomodation elsewhere was booked for the incorrect dates that evening. The lady managed to sort us all a room each. The seating/dining area is lovely, very modern and welcoming, a real good hustle vibe in the morning for breakfast. The food and drinks were really good value for money in the evening. Service was great and the staff really friendly. My room (can’t speak on behalf of my other colleagues) was wonderful. Spotless and clean. Again, very modern and had everything you needed. If you’d forgotten basic toiletries you could call down to reception ahead of collecting those complimentary. Breakfast was a good selection of pastries, fruit, breads, cooked and cereals. Hotel has a gym and a sauna which I didn’t use. Richard, on reception in the morning was alsovery helpful. Thank you! Overall, would recommend this hotel.

All four of us didn’t have the best nights sleep, not sure if this was down to the softness/firmness of the bed or the pillows. You have a choice of firm and soft, they aren’t huge given the size of the beds so maybe this contributed too. Maybe down to personal preference - minor feedback. The shower twisted to face the glass door under the pressure of the water so I ended up wedging the hose between the wall and the tray to stop it moving - very minor feedback. Maybe towels that are an In between size for people who have washed their hair, hand towel not big enough and bath towel too large this is just personal preference and very minor feedback.

Great check in, allowed us into room early. Excellent location and great setting with modern finish. Breakfast was superb. Sauna was another great was to relax.

Obvious price gouging due to marathon weekend, song of the times. not for us though as we ate our own body weight in tacos at Margo’s and got the bus everywhere. Called reception to replace batteries in tv remote, nobody came. Our room was an adjoining room but not used as such. However the ignoramus who did was noisy and light spilled through door all night. Worth looking at better ways to ensure air gap is better managed.

I liked multifunction concept throughout - the reception is a bar at the same time, the breakfast hall is a working hall in the afternoon, the shower door is a bathroom door by turning it 90 degrees. The hotel looks new and modern, the choice of pillows is wonderful, the shower is spacious and breakfast warm/cold choice of food is very balanced.

I did not like their 100 NZD deposit policy. It spoils a very positive impression. And I even disliked it more when the deposit was released only a few days after we had left.
