I had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it, especially for those heading to the ski fields. One of the best things about the hotel is its great location – just a short walk to Queenstown Centre, which makes it super convenient if you're catching the early buses to the ski bases. Another highlight was the included breakfast, which starts as early as 6:00 AM – a huge plus for anyone planning to hit the slopes first thing in the morning. The bedroom was very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing a perfect space to rest after a long day. On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always happy to assist with questions or provide local tips. Highly recommended for both location and comfort – a great base for your Queenstown trip.

The staff were very good in general and the hotel is well appointed, modern, clean, and bright. The buffet breakfast is good. There is late-night pizza service, which could be handy for some. The location is also super and just a short stroll to the centre of town. For skiers going to the Remarkables, this is an excellent location as the buses stop right outside the hotel both in both directions, which means that one doesn't have to lug one's gear all the way into town.

There's enough room in dry room for skis and boots and maybe helmets and gloves, but it would have been convenient to have some space to hang soggy ski jackets and pants.

Very decently large and clean room for the price. Facilities - good range but we didn’t use all of them to be able to comment (eg ski gear dry room, sauna). Parking available for $25/day and you can come and go (it’s not charged per each time you enter) Breakfast buffet was included in our stay, however it was slightly basic (cereal and toast, bacon and eggs type of hot food, very small fruit selection, and juice/coffee machine) Guest laundry on site, clean and large washers and dryers. Need coins to operate and reception gives free detergent.

We made the mistake of going during peak holiday season, and the door to our room was not soundproof at all, so you’ll hear kids running down the corridor any time of day which gets tedious.

This was reasonable and cost $25 per day. Very easy to complete on your phone. •Value for money: Good value for money in comparison to other accommodation options Continental breakfast: amazing options of both hot foods (pancakes, hash browns, baked beans, mushrooms, eggs, tomatoes etc) and fresh fruit and salad on offer. Coffee,tea and juice options as well. Perfect start to the day to fuel up for a day of exploring.

Nothing, this place was absolutely perfect and will return. I will definitely refer family and friends.

Wonderful staff, comfortable beds, quiet rooms, great views of the snow capped mountains. Loved the movie nights for kids which included free popcorn, hot chocolate and marshmallows on the open fire. Good variety at the buffet breakfast and plenty of tables to eat at. Never had to wait for a spare table. Good location to the main part of Queenstown and close walking distance. Yes, you will need to walk back up a steep hill to the accommodation…. however, no complaints from us regarding that.

the room was very comfy, the breakfast was nice, the location was very good. The hotel and the room were very clean, the staff were very helpful and accommodating.

the gym was very, very far from anything I would call 'a gym". It is just a small room with few cardio machines. Please don't advertise that you have a gym, or upgrade the facility so it has enough equipment to resemble a proper gym. I would also introduce some variation to the breakfast served, as after a couple of days I had had enough of the English breakfast.

The main lounge area / reception / bar / breakfast open seating - all of this creates a wonderful vibe that I haven’t felt in any other hotel in all these years of my travel. That, clubbed with one of the best staffs of any hotel, was just the needed cherry on the top! Special shoutouts to Paras the duty manager, Sarah, Tami, Yon, and the chefs for being so friendly and helpful always going above and beyond! We had an amazing time, and would love to stay again and meet the same wonderful people. Few more things to note: - it’s a great location - multiple fireplace seatings - gym and sauna are 24/7 and very clean and nice - rooms are quite spacious - car parking is available at a per-day rate - the staff is amazing (=D)

I’d like for it to be a bit less pricey, and also for the breakfast to be until 12pm (but again, don’t we want this for every stay haha)

A clean, modern hotel with very good breakfasts. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and allowed us a late checkout. We really liked the fact that pillows were marked 'firm' or 'soft' so that one could choose.

W simply could not understand why there was no shelf in the bathroom: nowhere to put toothbrushes, razors, sprays, etc. It would take a good tradie 20-30 minutes per bathroom to install these: apparently we were far from being the first people to complain about this. And while the hotel is well located - just ten minutes' walk to the centre of town - older people or those with a disability might find the hill leading up to the hotel a little steep (though you could take a bus or taxi).

Our stay at the IHG was really comfortable, affordable for a family of four and the staff made us feel very welcome not only when we arrived, but throughout our stay. To name a few, Melissa and Tama, as well as the rest of the lovely staff, were exceptional, courteous, and always willing to assist us with anything we needed. The restaurant meals were excellent. The Hot Buffet Breakfast was amazing and consistently delicious. It was constantly filled up. Most importantly, we felt very privileged to have the restaurant staff pack our breakfast for us in the early morning before travelling to Milford Sound. The hotel was always spotlessly clean, owing to the superb housekeeping team. I definitely recommend this hotel to every one of my family and friends.

I could not fault anything wrong with the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. I'd highly recommend it to all of my friends and family. We can't wait to be back.

We loved the staff! Everyone was so nice and lovely. The person (I think their name was Adi) was so helpful and nice at check-in and overall, all staff we passed were incredibly lovely. I had low expectations of the hotel but I was so happy with the location and the facilities as a whole! The room was great with everything we need, super quiet. We used the electric car hire service and found it really easy and useful to use. Incredibly happy with our stay!

The food wasn’t amazing. We ordered nachos one night and we were disappointed. There was barely any cheese, little to none salsa and oddly had cucumbers. For the price they were we weren’t happy with them. It was basically corn chips with a few veg and beans. The pizza is a handy late night snack (we had a late flight) so was a good quick eat. The breakfast was also just ok. I also didn’t realise the bathrooms weren’t real rooms and just glass cubes in the room. I feel like the photos advertised for my room showed this. Still had a great room!
