Waterslide & hot pool

We had to ask for toilet paper & dishwasher powder refills - which the staff would only give one at a time, so we had to ask each time our family needed a new roll paper or to use the dishwasher. The staff were polite but indifferent about this inconvenience. During our 9 night stay our room was serviced once only - for a family this is insufficient especially because we are on holidays and prefer not to be chasing staff for toilet rolls and dishwasher powder. An extra room service and sufficient restocking would have provided us with a truly satisfying stay.

The beds were comfortable and Firm. The customer service was excellent. Loved the use of the gym, pool, sauna and spa. The free washer and dryer and washing powder was so handy. The app to order extra things for the room was handy even tho I didn't use it. Love the casting to the TV because the there was only normal TV and sky sport.

The buffet breakfast could be better. I enjoyed that it was a HOT buffet and not just cereal and fruit. Would of loved Bacon and spaghetti as well. Having only 2 tables of 5 or 6 and no tables for just 2 people could be helpful as we had to sit on couches with a little coffee table.

We stayed for 2 nights. The room is spacious and bed is very comfortable. Hotel offers free usage of washing machine and dryer too. However, I am a bit surprised with the manpower shortage for room cleaning: 1. We checked in after 4pm. However, the assigned room was not ready after the reception had already checked in for us. So it’s like we had to stand outside the room while waiting for the cleaning to be finished. Luckily there was another empty room so the staff changed it for us in the end. 2. There was no signboard to hang on the door to request for ‘cleaning’, hence no room cleaning was done after the 1st night. Not sure if it is by default that no cleaning is expected in between multiple nights, for a 4-star hotel?

Was a two bedroom apartment that suited our needs for a hiking holiday. Popular with families for the pool with a slide. Great facilities: pool, bbq, gym, hot tub

This isn’t a dislike but something I wasn’t aware of when I booked as I’m not familiar with the brand. This is a time share resort and as such we were offered, very gently not pushy, to sit through a 90 minute sales presentation. For sitting through the presentation we were offered free breakfast for the duration of our stay. Although an attractive offer, and can understand why many families took up the offer, it would have been disingenuous as we had no intention of signing up.

Clean and comfortable bed with excellent bed linen. Parking very good and convenient to our room. The complimentary drink on arrival a nice touch to our stay.

We ordered snacks as our room wasn't ready when we arrived (we were a little early). We waited and waited for the two snacks to arrive and when they finally came after what seemed like an hour they were very very disappointing. Loaded chips only half cooked, bacon so overdone it was almost burnt, and then smothered in barbeque sauce! and no cheese. Un-edible. Then the cheese and mushroom arancini balls were also a disappointment where was the mushroom? in the four balls I finally found a spec of mushroom. Really not good enough for an establishment of high quality. The kitchen needs to up its game and retrain the cooks, consequently we didn't eat there again.,

Room was clean and spacious enough. Loved having the free laundry and welcome drinks but unhappy with the fact our beds were not made up separately as asked and on check in we were told there were no house keeping staff and we couldn't separate the beds ourselves so we had to fold out the sofa bed and use it - not comfortable at all. In fact even when we finally got someone to separate the beds the next day, they really weren't very comfortable. ready to be upgraded I'd say. Also a long way from town if you don't have a car though still a pretty area. Very family orientated

The motel was really nice. It was located at a 20min walk from the center of Wanaka and its Wanaka tree. There were enough parking spots in front of the rooms. It has a nice swimming pool with a slide, which is more for fun than for real swimming. Around the pool was the sauna and fitness club. Everything was clean and towels are provided. The room was located on second floor - it was very comfortable and had a small balcony. It included a kettle, a fridge, wine glasses and instant tea/coffee. Breakfast was in the nice looking lobby. Would recommend! I recommend the restaurant The Stoaker Room (only by car) and the Kai Whakapai Eatery & Craft Beer Bar in the village center.

This hotel was a gem. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was large, well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The laundry room was clean and always available, the pool and hot tub were very nice, and the hotel bar, happy hour and menu were great. Even with everything being so nice I would have to say the staff made our visit. They were helpful, accommodating and went out of their way to make sure our stay had everything we needed. We stayed there for three weeks and are already looking forward to going back. The location is ideal. Short walk to town but in a quiet setting.

Room was comfortable on the end of the group. Could see mountain tops from our window and balcony. Very good quality toiletries supplied.

Servicing, shampoo and body wash were not replenished on check in and almost empty, so ran out and had to ask for more. There was confusion over servicing, our room was not serviced until day 7 instead of day 5. Once serviced the tea bags were not replenished. These are minor things and didn't detract from enjoying our stay.

Location great. Nice grounds.Short walk to the lake and town centre. Good bar and restaurant . Free laundry which was great. Whilst the kitchenette was well equipped, there was no sink, and washing up had to be attended in the bathroom sink. There was a pool, and bbq areas and a small gym. Would stay there again. Staff always helpful.

I wasn’t keen on the pressure to attend the hard sell presentation to join club wyndham. Otherwise, everything was great.
