Good afternoon. Description of the hotel. From the airport we got there by "flyaibus" from platform 12. If you have their program, it is cheaper to order a ticket. And so there are workers on the platform and you can buy a ticket from them. The bus runs every half hour. The road is about 40 km to the hotel. After getting off the bus, we went to a kiosk in Nervese and bought a card for a week, for all types of transport, so that it was convenient to move around. There was a Kiwi grocery store nearby, since we were on the road, we bought a lunch with us to the hotel, there was a refrigerator in the room. It was a very short walk to the hotel, next to the stadium and of course a construction site. We checked in quickly. The room was on the 8th floor, a bathroom, which really brightened up our stay, what was very important was a kettle, coffee, tea, etc. There was a booklet on the bed to scan the code if you need to clean the room, change the towels, add tea or coffee. The breakfast was great. Everything was delicious, a great variety. You will never go hungry. There is a bar but everything is very expensive there_we wanted to try beer, but it cost 12 euros :))). It is not far from the city at all. We liked the hotel. Everyone has their own choice.

not enough seating in the breakfast room when the hotel is full. super long lines at the cappuccino stand as there is only 1 to serve as massive amount of people. the location is meh but ok with public transport. check in was weird--- 2 staff present, with the woman trying to check in a large group and the man seemingly checking emails... we arrived from a long flight late at night and had go wait a fair bit for the woman to check us in, as the guy kept playing on his computer... the pillows are AWFUL

Rather large and nice hotel. Reception staff is very professional and deadly effective. I was watching them in the evening while sipping free coffe from vending machine. Doesn't matter, what inquiry which hotel guest placed. Either they had a solution in their system [room temperature etc.] or in the back office [spare pillows, towels ...] I believe, if I asked them I want to see a living moose, they would pull one from back office on a leash as well. Nice and modern hotel overall. Nice and clean rooms, spacious bathroom.

The breakfast room can get really busy. Count with it. We occupied a table for four, being only two. During our whole breakfast, another two couples shared the table with us, as there was no free table for them. And waiting queues for any food, coffee. Not entirely the hotel fault though - they had even conference spaces open for breakfast and restaurant as well. And they were well-staffed. But when most of 250 rooms come in a tight period, there is nothing You can do with it.

I've been a couple of times in Oslo always staying at Scandic hotels. This proved to be by far the best of all. For its location, it is not downtown (7 km away) but the train station is a 5 mins walk and city centre can be reached by metro within less than 10 mins. The room was great. Firstly, it was spacious and I mean it! All comforts, facilities and accessories were there including an ironing table! Plugs are everywhere around the walls and there is plenty of light! Probably because the hotel building is new, not rennovated. The outer wall is of glass allowing sunlight to flood in. My only concern is that there was no closed space to keep anything out of third people's eye (such as dirty clothes) and the hangers were too few (only four). I am sure, however, that if I had asked the reception for few more I would have got them. The breakfast has a very big variety, corresponding definitely to 4 star hotel. The quality is good but not best. However, I felt comfortable with all food and beverages offered. Moreover, the hotel offers lots of space in the lobby (with plugs!) for people who want to meet, talk or just owkr. The room doors close firmly and there is almost no noise at all. The staff was more than polite and friendly. I had so many questions and I always received the right answer. Concluding, Scandic Helsfyr is highly recommended.

Too few hangers in the room.

Smart TV, Adjustable beds - leg-rests and headrests (very unique feature in a hotel 😃) Breakfast was amazing - great quality ingredients used…every item tastes good, although the coffee needs to be hotter 😊 decent location.

No free parking available onsite. And the parking surrounding it is public parking which is charged 24/7; is scarce so you may find yourself without a parking spot and have to park in nearby locations which could be a 5-7 min walk away. And it’s very expensive so need to factor that cost in.

Staff friendly and helpful.

If you do not like your room to be too warm then this is not the hotel for you. If was 25 degrees Celcius in the room when we arrived and there is no A/C. A fan was provided and the window opened tiny amount, but these had little effect. Also the desk light did not work. We reported it to reception and nothing happened. The hotel is fine, but it felt very expensive for what I would call a modest hotel. Maybe this just reflects the high prices for accommodation in Oslo.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The breakfasts were excellent, offering a wide selection of both hot and cold dishes, fresh fruit, pastries, and drinks—something for everyone. The location is very convenient, with easy access to the city center via metro and bus, making it simple to get around. The room was spotless and well-maintained, and the bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Overall, I was very pleased with the quality and comfort, and I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel and were very satisfied! The location is great — not in the city center, but very convenient: just a 5-minute walk to the metro station, and only 4 stops to the main train station. The breakfast was excellent — very diverse, with lots of fruit, fish, and cold cuts. A few small downsides: no slippers, no shoehorn, and no cotton swabs provided. These little things would have made the stay even more comfortable. Overall, everything was great, and we definitely recommend this hotel!

Nice and quiet location on the outskirts of the city. Good public transport connections to the city center and the airport. The reception staff were kind, helpful, and accommodating. The same goes for the hotel staff in the restaurant during breakfast. There are two well-stocked stores nearby where you can buy all the essentials.

The room cleaning wasn't very good. It seemed to us that the staff didn't have enough time to clean the room thoroughly.

Design of the room, gym room very convenient, a lot of different food at breakfast - pink humus, fish caviar, tasty bread, various kinds of loose tea, fruits - pineapple, watermelon, ice lemon/orange water, juice, coffee, chocolate milk. Hot and cold meals, tasty salty, salmon, different kinds of cheese, even vegetarian options. Great view from higher floors.

Crowdy with lots of sportsmen while the Olympic sport event the day we were staying. At least it was not loud at night.
